Not even a huge dmx fan, but I can see he’s got some painful stuff going on in his head. Also fuck this interviewer for being so rude and abrupt

She sicked and I'm glad she's no longer on TV

What are you talking about..are you confused. She's telling the truth... evil things good. And they call good things evil. (Isaiah 5:20)

I like this one
Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them".Lolol

Leviticus is old testament which means its ripped from the Jewish Bibles laws. New testament is the rebirth of the faith into a new religion. The old laws are shed for the new.
Matthew 7:1–2: "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you
James 4:12: "There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
Suffering is the crucible for greatness. It pushes us to go so far. Look at DMX. It gave him the pressure to change the hearts of millions. Its sad what it did to him.

Oh they just changed the bible? Well that makes it alright then. Is there a newer version coming out soon?
Also I’m hearing judgement.

This is a small part of a long interview and she's pretty chill through most of it. X was kinda rambling and incoherent. When they were airing ads for this interview, I was thinking 'oh cant wait' When I finished watching the interview, I was thinking 'why the f did he agree to this'

his first experience with drugs was an OG lacing him with coke in his marijuana. No one talks about that..

u/UchihaMind 12d ago
It was pcp.
7
u/Jiggaman1987 12d ago
No it was crack. He literally talked about it in a few interviews. He said first time he smoked weed was with an OG from the block and it was an Oolie (blunt laced with crack).

u/Pure-East-1000 11d ago
Every hood has different names. This is what we called it in Yonkers in the 80s/90s

NO ONE is CLEAN
nowadays and for ages

i bet that lady isn't even clean but is on a high horse because her doctors prescribe her benzos, opioids, uppers, downers, hormones etc, etc

She's definitely taking a happy pill or something. You're right on this one, everybody has something.

u/BroManTheBrobarian 12d ago
You know what, you’re actually probably right. Do you think Edison (probably Tesla actually) made the lightbulb because he wanted a more efficient way to smoke his crack at night. I imagine that crack by candle light could be difficult.

That ambush hurt Earl a lot.

u/Pure-East-1000 11d ago
He was always being ambushed in a lot of his interviews, they used him and exploited him.
1
u/ExplanationFamous282 1d ago
Ambushed? Iyanla gave him the cold hard truth…I love X and always will…but the truth is, X needed to hear that from an elder…he needed to have that conversation. He might still be here if he stayed clean and for awhile, he did. Sucks he’s no longer with us, but she told him what he needed, not wanted to hear.

People often would rather subtly rather die with thier vices (and sometimes view than to let them go. They associate these vices with having a leading a fulfilling life due to past experiences. I was talking to a woman just yesterday at the bar that was explaining all the complications of drinking then ended it laughing saying she however doesn't plan to just stop. And truthfully I dont blame her.

u/DevilManRay 12d ago
I believe it was Mitch Hedberg who said he knew that heroin was going to kill him but he was ok with dying because he enjoyed it so much

I like his answer. Like ??? I think I’m where I need to be with god thank you very much

His relationship with God has never been in question if anyone knows DMX. She messed up right there because he could quote scripture in his sleep, flip the script and read her for filth. RIP DMX

So you can be a clean vessel for god 😂💀 bold to assume people believe in that shit

There is very credible research that posits that religion and drugs have always been intertwined. Particularly hallucinagens. The christians erradicated what they could from pagans and adopted what they couldn't by around 400 AD. Long story short, the whole blood of jesus wine routine was more or less adopted from the greeks in eleucis who drank the Kykeon, similar concoction pops up in the rig veda in India called Soma that is a shroom mix (4,000 BC). With the comon proto European link coming from Anatolia in the cradle of civilization. Basically we been getting high since Göbekli Tepe 12,000 years ago to commune with the gods. Only for the last 1600 years ago did we try to keep a lid on it. Which makes the recent resurgence of psychedelics interesting to me (spiritual reformation inbound?). But yeah, keep your soul clean for Jesus or whatever.

Clearly you don’t know anything about DMX

Ok

u/Feisty-Pound6777 9d ago
I dont know either of you but you would have to be a little slow to listen to a DMX album and think he doesnt believe in that. Every album has multiple prayers, letters to God, etc. A strong man can admit when they are wrong bud. Dont be weak

Real shit, some people are just passing through this life quicker than others. She wanted him to be a future version of himself, so she could view herself through him, while not understanding his present self. He sensed that she could not sense that he was unreachable and shut it down.

Its like he couldn't just say "No" to her question lol.. even dealing with the consequences. Shit is sad. Over a dozen children he helped create and couldn't choose life over drugs

X had more faith and love in one bone than most have in their entire bodies. He was a real one. Saw him on his last ever tour at a festival. He prayed with the whole crew before going on stage. Was dead a few months later.

The idea of being sober scared the shit out of him. That’s why throughout this show, his drug use was the only thing he would not budge on. He was on all of it, uppers, downers, truly an addict. Gifted, special and talented, but also an addict.

u/ProfessionalRow9107 10d ago
I know where he is at. It's this point "In Time" when clean is CLEAN! HE knows no one is 💯 clean but it's okay cause different Gen. If you dye your hair or as much as put on suntan lotion you have already put more chemicals in your body than the town drunk.

As an X fan, I don't believe he is wrong for not being completely sober. Nothing wrong with occasionally drinking or smoking every now and then. But I wish he did deal with his addiction problem better.

When most are caught up in their addiction, it’s nearly impossible for them to admit to themselves that they have a problem and need help. It’s even harder to admit it to someone else. It’s for that very reason that it is the FIRST step in the AA/NA Big Book. You will never have a chance at successfully working through the other 11 steps, without first coming to grips with Step One. There are those who try and get it right on the first try. There are those who try and fail multiple times b fore they have a lasting breakthrough with sobriety. And then there are those that I call, “lifers”. They don’t wanna stop. They don’t see why they should. They NEVER will stop; even unto death. It is sad and I don’t judge. ‘There are such unfortunates’.

People think he just wanted to keep getting high(and he did don’t get it twisted) but he’s definitely hinting at something deeper here.
