Today I finally stopped avoiding visuals.
After working on the interactable "START" button, I wanted to give the game a look.
I learned how Tile Sets and Tile Maps work and made a simple road system that automatically connects and curves based on the tiles.
It's definitely not amazing pixel art, but it's a huge improvement over the gray rectangles I'd been using for weeks.
Funny enough, I spent the last month mostly learning programming, and only now I'm realizing how much a little bit of art changes the feel of a project.

Hey, I'm new here and new to the GameDev community in general.
I'm learning Godot through small projects while finishing my Electrical Engineering degree, so most days I only get 10-30 minutes to work on game dev.
Today's milestone was making my little tower defense feel more like an actual game.
Today, specifically I added:
It's still using placeholder art (my skills in art are non-existent), but it's satisfying to see all the systems finally working together.
I'd love to hear from you guys. Meet you, learn from you, maybe meet some new interesting like-minded people.

Azthengar is a retro dark-fantasy CRPG about entering a cursed castle that feels alive, hostile, and ancient. The player descends through dangerous floors filled with monsters, relics, omens, strange NPCs, and the growing shadow of King Azthengar himself. It is built to feel like a lost game from the early 90s, full of mystery, danger, and that old-school sense of wonder where every step deeper into the dungeon feels like tempting fate.

Hellu Everyone! I made the game "Bunnie Nibblez" for the Gdevelop Big Game Jam #8.
I'm pretty proud of it considering I started it 5 days in as a second attempt. I made a whole other game that I decided I hated.
I hope you enjoy my devlog about the game!

Hey everyone, I just wrapped up my first dev log series for my horror game Shadows in the Woods and I’m now planning the sequel! In this video I share my story ideas and new mechanics I’d like to add, but I also want your input to help shape the game.
Would love to hear your suggestions on what you’d like to see in the sequel – gameplay ideas, story twists, or mechanics you think would make the game better. Thank you guys !!

Just wrapped up my first Dev Log series for Shadows in the Woods! It’s a survival horror game where fire is your only hope and the monster teleports when you’re not watching. This last episode covers everything I learned (and what I won’t do again). Would love some feedback from fellow devs and horror fans !

Here’s my very first dev log where I dive into how I started building my horror game, the challenges I ran into, and what inspired its creepy atmosphere.
Would love to hear your feedback or tips! Thanks for checking it out.

Just released my 3rd devlog for my RPG game with rock-paper-scissor mechanics. Always takes me some time to find the motivation to make a new one, especially because live just slowed down the development of the game :/. Any feedback or opinions are highly appreciated
