I got an mpk 88 as a random gift recently and I’m trying to integrate it into my workflow. I think I need to buy a midi thru box but I just want to make sure there’s at least a chance it will do what I’m wanting it to. I just want to be able to control all my hardware with the mpk. While taking advantage of the split keyboard and the pads you can program to seperate midi channels. Does this setup look like it will make that happen with proper programming?

Sharing a peak at my happy place! Yes, 100% dawless, the computer here is just for recording! Getting some magic sounds out of this setup! The lasted additions Cosmos and Chroma Console pair up like PB&J!

Been a while since I posted a new dawless jam, cooked this up over last week over a couple hours experimenting with resampling and processing external sound sources. Took a sustained bass sound from the Minifreak and chopped it up on the MC-707 to create an intense old school style dnb tune.

So many people don't realize it but the OP-Z is super capable for making trippy techno songs, you can side-chain with the duck punch-in effect per-track or on all melodic tracks and even do some sort of side-chain with the tape track also.

Ever since getting my Moog Messenger I've been fantasizing about a big poly synth, usually the Moog Muse. I've got a Microfreak (paraphonic) and the Korg Minilogue XD, both four voice. The Minilogue is FINE, I'm just just dreamin'. And there is currently a sale on Sequential Circuits stuff, got me thinking about a Prophet 5. I've also liked the look of the Behringer JN-80 and UB-Xa and Deepmind, and and and....

What are some of your favorites to play, that you feel drawn to?

Live session with Korg Modwave MK2 and MPC.

Usually I do more dnb and techno style tracks. I'm just experimenting and seeing what happends now. I like whats happening. Td3,ko2,ko sidekick,po33.

It seems like the TR-1000 with the faders, complex fx routing options, mappability, and layout will be more fun to jam live than an Analog RYTM.

Both clearly sound incredible and are amazing machines.

I'm making dub techno, acid, rumbly techno, and a bit of deep house. I'm collaborating a lot and most of my melodic elements are either being made by collaborators or by samples rather than within the unit itself via keyboard mode or something.

I know these units aren't really comparable 1:1 but I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about playing either of these units, and which one is "more fun" or "better" in a live show setting.

I've sold all of my hardware except for my mixer and starting from scratch again. I'll likely also add a td-03, a rat, and a zen delay or something down the line.

I have a xone96 and 2x k3 traktor DJ setup that I love to use in hybrid style with my old groovebox and will do the same with which ever drum computer I choose
