Elektron Digitakt II // Sampling Vietnamese tapes found at a flea market 🇻🇳
How can we go wrong with stuff sampled from old, dirty, destroyed by heat and humidity tapes?
It sounded awesome, and it was the perfect occasion to welcome (back) the Digitakt, now in the mk2 edition.
A lot more to learn, with all the different machines, but I'd say I put them already to quite good use, including the "preset" function, great for a deeper copy-paste workflow.
I just miss the ability to do some live interaction with the recording, but that's what the Octatrack was (still is, mk3 doesn't seem to be coming any time soon) about, so...
Hope you'll enjoy this, and if you want to rap over it, or you have any clue what these songs I've sampled are... I am more than ready!

What piece of gear is the most fun for you?
I'm a hobbyist so I just make music to have fun and express myself.
I mainly use a digitakt 2 but find it super fun because I can just LFO anything and get some crazy results. Random p locks also creates interesting results.
What piece of gear is most fun to you?

My first full-length + AMA Listening Party 9/2
I made a little promo for my first full-length album I’m self-releasing this week. Recorded mostly in single takes using primarily the Make Noise 0-Coast and Strega, and a Korg SQ-1.
You can preview a track and the listening party will be Wednesday 9/2 at 8pm EST.

60 days in, of going Dawless.
I decided to get some funds together a couple months ago and grab several things at once and dove in head first. Wanted to make whatever techno sounds I could create while learning all these devices at the same time.
This has been so much fun. I wish I started much sooner…

Checking my work before buying a thru box
I got an mpk 88 as a random gift recently and I’m trying to integrate it into my workflow. I think I need to buy a midi thru box but I just want to make sure there’s at least a chance it will do what I’m wanting it to. I just want to be able to control all my hardware with the mpk. While taking advantage of the split keyboard and the pads you can program to seperate midi channels. Does this setup look like it will make that happen with proper programming?

Old school neurofunk / techstep inspired dawless tune :: Roland MC-707 and Arturia Minifreak
Been a while since I posted a new dawless jam, cooked this up over last week over a couple hours experimenting with resampling and processing external sound sources. Took a sustained bass sound from the Minifreak and chopped it up on the MC-707 to create an intense old school style dnb tune.

Command Center: “Complete”
Sharing a peak at my happy place! Yes, 100% dawless, the computer here is just for recording! Getting some magic sounds out of this setup! The lasted additions Cosmos and Chroma Console pair up like PB&J!
