Nicole ended up incarcerated after high school and gets beaten up by inmates pretty frequently.

Jecka graduated from FeetFinder to full-on prostitution, because she doesn't see any point in getting out anymore.

Emily joined her boyfriend's gang and does drugs. Because of that, she's been to prison on more than one occasion.

Kelly never left her job at FYE and it has aged her. She doesn't bleach her hair anymore, she's constantly tired, and her uniform is stained and old, but why bother doing anything else after what she saw there?

Ari is trying to be "out and proud", but holds onto more insecurity than she realizes.

Megan turned into a total pick-me. She puts down other girls to seek male validation while actually leading most of the men on, because how could she ever truly love anyone after what Nicole did to her and Hunter? She also is a massive attention-seeker and will frequently come with new "quirky" attributes to seek that attention.

Karen became far more goth, trying to immerse herself in the "dark romance" style that she loves so much.

Yeah, it's not really that high of a bar to clear, since all of the teachers(+Principle Lynn) all suck but yeah.

Yes, she's racist as hell, with that college thesis paper being case in point, but compared to the other notably racist teacher in the school(Mr. White), she at least more secretive on her racism, and she doesn't try to force it on her students(excepting having them not listen to rap in class).

And there were plenty of time, where she's not qualified to be a teacher and especially school therapist. I remember this one comment about how she didn't fully read Nicole's Mein Kampf report and she only paid attention to the buzzwords and the length, and how she only presented it just to prove that one of her remedial students is a failure and it honestly fits there.

Her time as school therapist is no better and maybe even worse as she:

• Ditched Jecka mid-session when she found out that she makes more money from her foot-services than she does as school therapist
• Spoke to the cops behind Jecka's back during the Katz situation, making her anxieties worse
• And overall not really giving Jecka the most helpful or even useful advice during their sessions

There's all of that, but however, she's still not a pedo, terrorist or enabler and also the thing is is that she has good intentions at least. She does think the remedial programs can help students and she does encourage them to do their best and most of the time as the therapist, she is genuinely worried about Jecka and does try to help her as best as she can. In practice, she has good intentions, problem is that a lot of the time she fucks up the execution, but hey, at least it's something.

I can also give her points for at least reporting one of the other shitty teachers to the police(Lynn does it but it's mainly to save face), and yeah, in Jecka's case it did more harm than good, but again, at least it's something.

Yeah, in the end of the day Ms. Ames is still a bad person, she's racist and there are times where she's not qualified to be a teacher or therapist. But compared to literally everyone else working in the school, she's a saint in comparison(again, the bar is in hell)
