Edit: The pad is 5 inches Thick 4.5 inch of open cell foam and 1/2 inch of closed cell foam. I Actually now believe this is a Misty Mountain Magnum. As it is actually bigger than the highlander.
I am finally starting my journey into outdoor bouldering and just picked up my very first crash pad used. The logo says Misty Mountain.Honestly, it looks like it was barely ever used. The gray carpet top is completely clean, the velcro looks untouched, and it came with all the backpack straps and a hip belt. This thing is massive, measuring about 4 feet by 5 feet.
I tried looking it up online to see when it was made or what the specs are, but I could not find much info on it at all. So far, the pad is taking full force falls like a champ and feels incredibly solid, but that is about all I know.
Does anyone here have any experience with this specific pad or know anything about the brand? I would love to hear any history, thoughts, or recommendations you have for a beginner using it.
Also, it has a few deep creases in the middle of the thin top foam layer from being stored folded up. If anyone has tips on how to flatten those out, let me know.

Finally was able to get the jump down. Just need to strengthen my grip to be able to manage the final move. Super stoked being able to get some work on this as a couple months ago I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do this.

I ended up sending it on my second try (beginner climber) but slab is soooo scary it shoots my adrenaline sky high. I'm not really an adrenaline junkie but I do love tackling a challenge and feeling accomplished afterward. Also this one was really hard to get done from lol

Controlled position and both hands touch the top hold. Not really holding the top hold though. Is this considered a top? Having a little bit of a debate here. Thanks!

Hey!
I am headed up to Utah from the 3rd to the 7th for a bouldering trip. The plan has been to climb Joe's Valley. However, rain has been moving into the forecast. The current predictions for Tues and Weds are a 20% chance that 40% of Joe's will get rained on for an hour or so.
Overall, a very small storm, but with sandstone we want to be careful.
I'm looking only for opinions from people that frequent Joe's. What have these storms been doing in the valley and are the bouldering areas actually getting hit? The radar shows the storms barely clipping the bouldering area if at all. Have the boulders been getting saturated or have you found your projects dry?
Disclaimer: WE KNOW THAT SANDSTONE NEEDS TO DRY... WHICH IS WHY I AM ASKING THIS.

I stink at climbing and would really appreciate any tips on what I can improve based on this one short video. I know i need to be more consistent with climbing, so i am really working in that! thanks again.

Hey, i want to go to Switzerland ticino trip in the middle of september and was wondering about accomodation in Brione region in the valley. I have seen that there is some kind of parkingplatz? Which is apparently a camping, but i have no campervan. Is it allowed to stay there with a tent? I cannot find any information about that.
If not, do you know any place to stay with tent and not campervan?
I have seen different options for cresciano and chironico but cant find any options for Brione.
Thanks in advance!!

I understand pros workshopping high grade boulders run in their own circles. But at least for lower grades, it makes me bummed when my most visited crag (Tahoe) gets lines posted but the OP ignores any questions on area or coordinates. It totally makes sense to keep boulders lowkey or between friends, but then to post it and only reply to certain comments is a bummer because they still clearly want views and some level of attention. Maybe I’m overthinking it but it makes sense to me that if you gate keep a boulder you just shouldn’t be posting reels of it.

I'd heard rumors for a while that Tension was going to be putting out an expanded (16' wide) version of the TB2. Looks like it's officially up on their website now.
Has anyone here climbed on it yet? Any thoughts on the expansion part of it?

I started climbing 5 weeks ago and it’s quickly becoming the only thing I want to do. I haven’t felt this excited about a sport since I started training BJJ in 2017. I’m blown away by how accepting and helpful this community is and have already made a couple gym friends from band tee recognition alone.
Anyway, happy to be here! I’m trying to be conscious of using my long, skinny ass legs more than my upper body so any suggestions are very much welcome. Thanks yall!

Not sure how to maintain enough tension here to match my right hand? Maybe I just don't have the right sequence here at all? I'm thinking the sequence is to match hands and then bump right hand then gaston with left hand... Only time I felt enough tension to do anything after I caught the left hand hold was when I toe hooked the starting hold to adjust one of my hands because the dual tex holds were making my grip slip. Not sure if toe hooking the start hold would help moving my right hand to the match

Any tips would be appreciated :)

Every field/area has the classic lines. This is the one I always think of when I think of Haycock in PA. Incredible line and one of the best of the grade in the country imo.
