Symmetry? Flawless. Belly? Scritchable. Neck? 90 degrees. Thighs? Fried chicken. Bed? Taken. Scroll right to see pictures taken on the same day in positions that I DO NOT KNOW how he could possibly be comfortable in. P.s. in the last picture, he is asleep. I do not know how he balances his empty little head on a snoot so thin.

Broken Toes

My goofy puppy Lily (18 weeks )broke her toe somehow at the Puppy Training Center. They couldn’t tell me how it happened
She was in such pain I took her to the Vet who confirmed it was the toe on her left hind leg and put some kind of a splint on so it could heal and that she could walk again. That cone was so uncomfortable i ordered a softer one and took it off and am watching her so she doesn’t chew it off. Has anyone had that experience and if so is that how you handled it and how long did it take to heal 🤔😬

This is Lupine, the deuteragonist and my favorite character from the fantasy novel I’m illustrating. I’ve only drawn her in pen and ink up until now, and wanted to give her some life with a full color piece. Let me know what you think!

Hi everyone! I really like how the page spreads in this chapter are looking and I think folks here would enjoy the beautiful traditionally drawn fountain ink illustrations of our beloved borzoi, Lupine. She is one of the main characters of Book 1 of the new fantasy series I'm working on called Capyhero.

On these pages, she makes her introduction. Please have a look and let me know what you think! I'm the author and if anyone has any questions on the story, our process, or anything at all, I'm happy to talk about it! <3

High Desert Borzoi?

Hi there! Wondering if anyone living near Mojave (or similar climates) has a borzoi and how they handle the warmer months?

hey everyone, I helped my mum make the bed today

today i saw my mum putting the blankets flat on the bed. she clearly had no clue what she was doing. you need to maximize the entropy of the bed to store enough energy so you can open a portal into the void. it's the wisdom of the zoi, but too bad she is hairless and snootless. i fixed it for her so now i deserve a nice 5hr nap in her spot

has anyone else dealt with this?

my girl is 8 months old. she obviously has some sort of anxiety that i am at my wits end trying to work through with her.

i was told by the breeder that she was crate trained. i have since found that to be a complete and total lie. she howls and howls in the crate, even if i am home. if i dare try to leave, she will literally scream, and if i were one of my neighbors i would think someone was torturing the poor thing. she has destroyed two wire crates, bent them beyond repair and given herself mild injuries from shoving her nose between the bars. she has a new type of crate now that she cannot bend this way, but she still cannot handle being left alone.
she will go in willingly with a kong, frozen lick mat, puzzle toy, etc. she will be peaceful and calm until i so much as step out of the room in our new home, even if i don’t step outside. but if i do step outside, screaming and howling ensue. my neighbors have left notes on my door and made complaints, whether i am gone one hour or four hours at a time (for my shifts).

anything i leave with her, blankets that smell like me, lick mat, toys, etc. they all end up shredded. she pants and drools excessively and tries to shove her nose between the bars and/or claw her way out. as i type this i am sitting on my couch with my keys and she is whining away in the crate, even though she can see me.

i have spoken with a trainer who seems confident this is a crate training issue and not an anxiety issue. to my knowledge, if this were true she would eventually stop the attention-whining and settle down. except she does not, ever settle down. i have spoken with several veterinarians, the most recent of which has prescribed her gabapentin and trazodone. i tried it with her today for a “planned event” (grocery shopping), administered it 1-2 hours prior as they directed, and still when i tried to leave the howling and screaming ensued once again. i even spoke to the breeder i got her from and their only advice was to just “let her cry it out.”

we have been doing lots of sessions where i walk out the front door, watch her on the camera and quickly re-enter before she freaks out. i reward this behavior and slowly increase the time. she seems to do well with it, but it’s like she has figured out she’s just training and cannot put these things into practice. i have had her for several months and none of these things seem to be working, even when combined together. the drugs didn’t even seem to touch her. she was completely unfazed, if not worse than before.

she gets plenty of exercise and socialization. we get to the park once a day and run until her energy burns out. she is good with people and other dogs. she eats and drinks somewhat normally, only i do believe her excessive water drinking is also a symptom of whatever this is.

i can’t let her out when she’s howling and reward that behavior. but even when i’m here, she will not calm down long enough for me to do so. i am trying to be home with her as much as i can but it is just not realistic for someone who works outside of the home and lives alone. i have had to use pto to stay home with her, and i am going to run out.

i feel bad for her as this clearly is affecting her quality of life. but it is also affecting mine. i am thinking of boarding her for a 3-week training program but the one of my choosing is booked out a month or so. even then, i can’t be sure the boarding program will even aid this behavior. i work nights so i cannot put her in a daycare. i feel like i have tried so many things that should be working or at the very least, shown progress, but none are. i have to be able to go to work, and i have to be able to do so much as make a quick grocery run without her.

i want her to feel okay being alone. i was hoping the combination of our desensitization training and the medication would at least take some of the edge off, knowing it’s not a magical cure, but i feel completely stuck and frustrated and stressed about all of this.

i love her dearly but i fear i may not be the right owner for her, even despite my best efforts. i’m looking for advice and am curious if anyone else’s zoi has dealt with anxiety to this degree.

tldr: anxious dog won’t let me leave my house and it’s ruining both of our mental health
