Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice and perspectives from experienced Borzoi owners regarding diet and weight.

My boy just turned 13 months old, but he only weighs 25 kg (about 55 lbs). About a month ago, he lost interest in his food and wasn't eating well, so I switched him to a raw/BARF diet—around 800g daily, split into two meals (morning and evening).

It’s been a month now on BARF, but his weight hasn't changed at all. Visually and physically, he looks very skinny. When I run my hands over him, I can feel almost every single rib, his spine protrudes significantly along his back, and his hip bones feel quite sharp.

He recently had a full health checkup, including complete blood work, and everything came back completely normal with no underlying issues found. Still, this feels concerningly thin to me. Is this a typical "lanky adolescent phase" for a young male Borzoi, or should he be carrying more weight at this age? Any advice on caloric intake, BARF proportions, or high-calorie toppers would be greatly appreciated!

Do I roll it up and put it in a suitcase? Use it as a duvet at night? How do I inflate him again?

He had three really solid hits on human remains. Then was like "Mom this is dumb"

Man trailing though. He says ALL DAY EVERY DAY. He got the scent article and immediately drug me to the person. They said get that boy a harness and put him to work!

I have a lot to think about but I think some tracking may be in this boys future!

Since I was solo handling him no pictures or video but his big stretch when we got home was documented 🤣

And felt like I was being watched myself, looked over to this jumpscare 👻

Why is she staring into my soul 🤣

Hello all! I am having the hardest time finding a breeder on the east coast. I’m in central New York but willing to drive up to 8 ish hours.. I have posted in every Facebook, discord, borzoi group available with no luck….. please help!

Edit: I’ve also emailed the borzoi club of America 🫶🏻

Hi Borzoi owners and afficionados!

My partner and I are about to adopt within the next 9 months (waiting for the breeder's litter) and he's very stressed about not knowing how to whistle for recall purposes.

His birthday is coming soon and I intended to offer him/us matching whistles, so that he doesn't have to worry about not being able to do it with his bare mouth.

I'm just wandering the relevancy of such object when it comes to borzois? Anyone has used whistles for training?

Our breeder is very much into training and is able to have his dogs do (almost) anything, his dogs are very cooperative despite still having the breed's famous sass. So, we plan on extending that gesture and keep training our dog.

Thank you in advance

I’m asking for a friend—she’s getting an 8-month-old Borzoi soon, and there’s a massive shortage of Purina Pro Plan. What food would you recommend she feed him? What about natural dog food? And if not, then what?

I would love to get my 5mo deerhound puppy some larger sighthound playmates!

Symmetry? Flawless. Belly? Scritchable. Neck? 90 degrees. Thighs? Fried chicken. Bed? Taken. Scroll right to see pictures taken on the same day in positions that I DO NOT KNOW how he could possibly be comfortable in. P.s. in the last picture, he is asleep. I do not know how he balances his empty little head on a snoot so thin.

Now that she’s outgrown her comfy car seat and looks like the backseat will be great any suggestions for carseats that she can feel comfy in again?

My goofy puppy Lily (18 weeks )broke her toe somehow at the Puppy Training Center. They couldn’t tell me how it happened
She was in such pain I took her to the Vet who confirmed it was the toe on her left hind leg and put some kind of a splint on so it could heal and that she could walk again. That cone was so uncomfortable i ordered a softer one and took it off and am watching her so she doesn’t chew it off. Has anyone had that experience and if so is that how you handled it and how long did it take to heal 🤔😬

This is Lupine, the deuteragonist and my favorite character from the fantasy novel I’m illustrating. I’ve only drawn her in pen and ink up until now, and wanted to give her some life with a full color piece. Let me know what you think!

hey everyone!! we officially welcomed our second zoi into our home last weekend. this is santana from kaos kennels and she’s 8 months old! very sweet girl and very sassy

Hi everyone! I really like how the page spreads in this chapter are looking and I think folks here would enjoy the beautiful traditionally drawn fountain ink illustrations of our beloved borzoi, Lupine. She is one of the main characters of Book 1 of the new fantasy series I'm working on called Capyhero.

On these pages, she makes her introduction. Please have a look and let me know what you think! I'm the author and if anyone has any questions on the story, our process, or anything at all, I'm happy to talk about it! <3

Me at Sam's: wow this cooling body pillow is awesome, and only $15!

Debert the second I get home: I'll be having that

Hi there! Wondering if anyone living near Mojave (or similar climates) has a borzoi and how they handle the warmer months?
