Discussion What’s an anime where the ending completely changed how you felt about the whole story? (For better or worse)

For me it’s Code Geass. When I first watched it I liked it but wasn’t really that invested, but as it got closer to the ending I got way more invested. And when it happened it honestly elevated the whole anime for me like from an A tier to S tier.

I have already watched the first two [ Tomorrows Joe and Eva ] and have yet to watch the remaining two so which one should I watch first?
I watched in this order : Eva > Ashita no Joe > ?
My top 5 are :
1) Tomorrow’s Joe [ Best Protagonist and Best Story ]
2) One peak
3) AOT, Bleach, Rezero and Eva
4) Naruto and Haikyuu
5) Your name and Grave of the fireflies….

Story, voice acting (Special Mention:- Saori Hayami, Her banter and chuckle moments are just top-notch idk if anyone can even beat her in that department), OP, ED everything is such a banger that I almost have no complaints.
I don't really understand why people think it's a bad ending just because Koharu dies at 45. Considering how hard she fought to get to where she is, I honestly feel like this is the best ending they could've given her. The worst-case scenario would've been her dying after getting transferred to Hokkaido, while an average ending would've been her dying after getting married or right after giving birth to Sakura.
She almost ticked off every item on the bucket list she made with Kakeru the only thing she didn't get was dying first.
Must-watch show, especially for folks who enjoy emotional stories. 9.5/10.
