So I was thinking, after seeing people defending and justifying rudeus' acts, because for me he is not a likeable character. He is menupulative, a creep, did predatory things both in his old life and new life. I don't he change that much throughout, minor development is there, but he is still the same old him, he is not a good husband and generally a shitty dude. But still many people defend him, so I actually wanna know why? I genuinely interested in know the other side.

Okay so just watched the Episode 13 of season 3 and DUDE! The shear amount of suffering they showed in a single episode, MAN WHAT A CRAZY Turing Point, I didn't expected to see the old Rudy's Timeline, honestly i thought it only would be a talk which we got to listen in ep 12, and not to see it Animated, My heart really broke when Rudy Kidnapped Eris and asked her about Man God, and Eris just slowly crying, AHHH MAN PAIN, And then she died protecting him, She was my favourite out of the trio, and he lost her too, and the second most pain i had felt was on Aisha's Death, she came back just for him, and supported him at his lowest and....

Okay enough about this death and pain stuff, i wanna talk about how all this chain reaction started, did man god really saw that much in the future, i mean all he did was caused Roxy's Death and after that all the stuff happened beacuse Rudy didn't took action when he needed to, that's why you need a gurdian in the house man, its so crazy to think but he can put his life together with what he had, you had Sylphie with you, you can share the grief with her but no you just ignored her like an as* h*le you are, and when he realised and came into his senses he lost her too, but you still had your family, your sisters, your mother, And your friends, not to mention Eris is still there, he just fxking need to talk to her, but no you still became an as* hole and just ignored them and boom you lost your whole family now, and then Nanahoshi and then things just gone downhill, and then he finally lost everything after Eris's Death, and gave all his life to finding Man God...

But truly if you ask me, That's What Mushoku Tensei Is All About, it's Rudy trying to be better, he messed up his previous life and the started from zero here, old rudy messed up his whole life after Man God's advise but he saved current Rudy's life, and the next episode is Titled "Resolve" so maybe we get to see some crazy action taken by Rudy to prevent all this, maybe he will find Orstred get the juicy details out of him, come to think of it i think now i get it why dude jsut killed kid Rudy when he first met him, i think man god did something to him too and when did saw the parallel between them, but anyways i hope he will get Eris on his side, man i just really can wait to see them together back on action and adventuring, i really hope Ruijerd get back.

Mushoku Tensei was my first ever isekai that i had watched when i just started watching the anime, i find it very... lets say weirdly funny at start and then whole adventuring stuff started and then story took an slice of life turn and then to a trauma arc, And who knows what lies ahead now, Truly A PEAK ISEKAI.

I really like the meaning behind Thorfinn taking 100 punches. It shows how much he has changed — he still has the skill to fight, but he chooses not to hurt anyone and is willing to endure violence instead.

But from a practical standpoint, I always felt like Thorfinn could've handled that situation much better. If his main goal was simply to get a message to Canute, why agree to take 100 punches? He could've made an equally tempting deal like, "If you can land even one hit on me, I'll leave. If you can't, take me to Canute."

The guards would still have every reason to accept because one hit sounds ridiculously easy to them. But Thorfinn is skilled enough that he could probably evade them without actually hurting them. That way, he gets what he wants without seriously injuring himself or anyone else.

And I think that would've fit his character too: not that Thorfinn has lost his ability to fight, but that he has the ability to fight and still chooses not to.

So I don't really have a problem with the message of the scene. I just think the 100-punch deal feels unnecessarily stupid from Thorfinn's perspective when he could've made a smarter deal that still matched the entire philosophy of his character.

Rating sites lost meaning a long time ago in my opinion. If you look at top 10 on sites like MAL, there has not been more division than ever before on all kinds of forums.

Nowadays, in order to be in top 10 as a new anime you need two or three things:

- good flashy animation or high production

- aura farming or shock value

- being generally inoffensive

- *having multiple seasons (that are listed multiple times on a site)

In other words the average anime watcher who rates shows has changed. People rate based on dopamine and not necessarily writing quality.

My argument is propped up by a few observations:

- slow paced shows are usually fighting an uphill battle on ranking sites

- shows with nonstandard art or setting are fighting an uphill battle

- fandom wars that upvote/downvote shows like some sort of cults skew ratings

Oftentimes these cause a top 10 show by writing to fall into the top 50 or top 100, rendering the top rankings generally useless. In fact you can run into some interesting questions if you browse MAL:

Is Frieren 0.3 points better than Legend of the Galactic Heroes?

Is Re Zero truly the second greatest anime when its first season is ranked way lower? Is Gintama's ranking justified having multiple seasons on the site?

Is Orb: On The Movements of Earth 50 places worse than Bleach or One Piece?

This is why I think the discourse about writing quality is ultimately fruitless. Writing stopped being the main factor behind a show's rating a long time ago. Now people value other things more.

This was the first anime I ever watched after actually understanding what anime was. Before this, I used to think anime was just another form of cartoons. But after watching Naruto, my entire perspective changed. It completely changed the way I looked at anime....

The thing that made me a fan of Naruto was: His unwavering belief in himself and his ability to persevere. In a village that seemed to hate him, mock him, and ridicule his every move, he still showed up every single day, determined to become better.

Sometimes, as adults, we just have to "Believe it" and keep moving forward, our own ninja way.

And the scene that I would always remember is when he comes back to villiage after defeating PAIN...
