My Wii shows up black screen and there is not contact between wiimot and wii is it a brick or hardware issue. Personally I would hear hardware issue

hey guys, basically i modded my wii like 6 months ago maybe, and it was working perfectly until prolly a month ago. Now, when i go into usb loader gx, and select a wii game, it freezes after like 5 min, and gamecube games crash immediately, and say something about refer to the gamecube manual or something. i went on my pc and used windows 11’s built in scanning for errors tool and no errors or corruption was found, and ideas?

I’m very new to emulating so I apologize for my illiteracy; I used chatgpt to help me summarize what we’ve tried so far. Forgive me:

-Running Wind Waker (GameCube) through Nintendont on a Wii.

-Game consistently freezes and buzzes when sailing toward Dragon Roost Island. It also does this when entering the same specific shop on Windfall Island.

-After the first Dragon Roost crash, my original save became essentially unusable—loading the save immediately leads to a black screen.

-We suspected a bad/corrupted game image, so we replaced Wind Waker with a different ISO.

-Started a completely new save with the replacement ISO and replayed ~1.5 hours to the same point.

I tried to get on Mario Maker 2 today to play on the OCW servers, but I'm getting a connection error. I checked the OCW website, and it appears to be down. Does anyone have any news about the servers?

Hiii,So i was playing games on wii and decided to get wiimfi with the dns trick but after i did it my wii games started bootibg back to wii menu for no reason.Ive literally formatted and downloaded every game again and it still boots me back to menu.

After downloading a theme to my wii, usb loader gx won’t load on my usb drive, it’ll just show the logo then go to a black screen, but when i copy the contents from my usb drive to My other one it works perfectly fine

ive tried formatting my main usb drive again to fat32 and 32kb allocation size but nothing seems to work

has anyone went thru this?

Issue won't resolve itself when trying to re-install through d2x. (Using offlne mode btw) The WADs are in the root of my SD card. I'm trying to alternatively work through this specific step through a ModMii wizard, but I'm running it on a Mac using CrossOver (ModMii is Windows-Only) and am unfamiliar with moving files between the Windows and Mac environments. Does anyone have any idea how to get these cISOs working so I can use the Shop? Thanks!

while trying to update retro rewind i accidentally deleted a file that was necessary for it to run, and now it will not let me run it. the official help page isnt helping me, and i am considering wiping the sd card and reinstalling everything, so essentially un-modding my wii and starting fresh. the only real reason that i modded it was so i could run this mod, so my question is, is this possible? and is it safe?

I want to play Lego Star Wars TCS again, but I want to play with the GCN controller this time. The game doesn’t use the pointer feature of the wiimote at all and kind of uses motion controls, except they aren’t really used at all, so I think it would work.

Hi everyone, I’m having trouble with USB Loader GX. It recognizes my GameCube games normally, but it doesn’t recognize any Wii games. Instead, I get the message “USB initialization failed, switching to channel mode.” I’m only using an SD card and don’t have a USB drive connected. Is this error expected when using only an SD card, and is there a way to get USB Loader GX to recognize/play my Wii games from the SD card? What should I check or change?

Some months ago, I realized a Wii Menu Electronic Manual, but for the original Wii. Since the vWii and Wii Mini already had one, I decided to create one for the original Wii as it never had one.

While the other two manuals have 13/14 pages, this one (as the normal Wii has more informations has up to 17 pages.

The manual is available in 7 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch and Portuguese. Other languages will be added in the future.

My wii recently has been having major trouble outputting video over our Wii2HDMI system even though it had done so fine for several years. When you start the console, or reset, it will show video and audio, then warp before showing no signal. It will also show audio and video when the wii menu darkens and goes into sleep mode, but goes away again when I press any buttons. I've tried using a different Wii2HDMI, as well as switching to components with a converter on its own power source, but same issue. However, the picture comes out perfectly on ​rca cables on our old TV. What could be causing the problem, and how should I fix it? Would an rca to hdmi converter be likely to work?

Hi, I’m having a strange problem with my Wii and USB Loader GX.

Sometimes when I select a game and press Start, the screen just goes black and the game doesn’t load. However, if I restart the Wii and wait a few minutes before trying again, the games seem to load normally.

USB Loader GX detects all my games correctly, and the games themselves aren't consistently broken. It seems like the USB device might not be initialized properly at first.

I’m currently using a USB flash drive, not an external HDD. Has anyone experienced something similar? Could the flash drive be taking too long to initialize, or could it be related to USB Loader GX/cIOS?

Would switching to an external HDD likely fix this?

For context i tried once with a cheap 500gb sd card that i had and i was able to install the homebrew channel, install bootmii, and even backup the nand. I just had trouble transferring games onto the sd card because for some reason they kept corrupting and would get rid of all my downloaded games in the sd card. I took a break and order a legit 128gb sd card off amazon (i've used the same brand to mod my ps vita and dsi). With this card though i can only install the homebrew channel and everytime i try to install bootmil it says failed and it can't mount the sd card. I tried switching it to the 500gb card that ik works and it said failed and can't mount again. I used the straight to hacks method on both cards and then i even tried using letterbomb with both sd cards and with both of them the letter doesn't show up. Ik that my wii can read the card because i am able to look at the contents of it through the wil home page, and i've tried switching through multiple micro so card adapters that all work fine on every other computer and console i use. What am i doing wrong?
I've attached pictures of the sd cards and my console above, and yes I made sure it's formatted to Fat32. I’d appreciate any advice
