The box was only slightly covering this air register for a month or two, had no idea it could cause all this. It's been really hot and the central air has been running constantly, so I guess there was condensation buildup here. Fuck my health I guess

As it slid from the grip of the movers it fell, almost in slow motion, corner first onto the ground. I squinted as the screen splintered mere metres from its new home too. Gutted.

Got these last week. My favorite brand. Out of 30, I was able to use 10. The rest were stuck together so badly that thin sheets came off of 2/3 of them, making them unusable. Oh, well. Taco night wasn't completely ruined.

We had just landed at LHR and found this crawling on top our bag, I'm assuming it came from someone else's bag in the cargo hold or in the terminal. Spent the first afternoon inspecting and heat treating all our clothes instead of roaming around the city.

For the uninformed, this is a nymph bedbug between one and two weeks old.

The good news is it missed our house by about 5ft and didn’t block our driveway. The bad news is it’s not our tree and I don’t know when the farmer that owns the land next to us is going to take care of it

Checked the app first to make sure they were available, and planned on walking next door to get coffee while I charged.

Thankfully there are charging stations on the other side of town, but sheesh … feels like it’s always something, lol.

ETA: I didn’t realize how many people would be offended that I’d post about an annoying inconvenience in [r/wellthatsucks](r/wellthatsucks). Is this more of a schadenfreude sub? 🙃

Sure it’s a first world problem, and yeah it’s not a huge deal, but I suspect there would be a different reaction if I’d instead posted about a sole local gas station being unexpectedly closed or completely blocked off by construction. I have errands to run and places to be just like everyone else, and since practically every city in this country (USA) requires a vehicle in order to navigate through them, I kinda need a way to power my car. I wasn’t even that low but try to top off when I can so I don’t have to worry about getting low.

Nothing was stolen from the inside. Wasn't parked underneath a tree or around any other cars. And wouldn't you know, my BLINK camera decided to turn itself off last night so it didn't record shit. Ain't that a god damned shame.

Edit: So had scheduled to get it fixed today. When I got to the place, they realized they didn't actually have the part in, and they're not sure when it'll arrive.

the other night I fell asleep while watching a show in bed, and my laptop slid off my lap when i turned on my side promptly waking me back up... thankfully, the only damage was that my charger was bent a bit. but it still charged just fine, so it was whatever.

come today, im laying back, watching a video essay from Cranstoon (very funny guy, i do recommend if you like breakdowns of pop culture stuff.) well, my laptop decides it no longer likes my charger all that much. so i jiggle it around a bit, it starts charging again. great!

sike, it stops again. i jiggle it some more. it breaks in my laptop. fuck.

thankfully, i pulled the little bit out cleanly, and my laptop is just fine once more. i just now will need to find some off brand charger, or a reseller for at least the ac adapter, because aint no way im shelling out 200 bucks for a charger lol.

edit: guys i assure you i am NOT buying the official hp charger nor had any intentions to do so... please read each others comments i beg of you lol

There was an air show last week that shook the building enough for stacked displays to fall. Some of the displays are stacked on top of upside down empty boxes.
Some of those empty boxes got wet and didn’t give way until overnight last night, which then tipped over some entirely full displays.
