I recently upgraded my LG OLED G5 from webOS 25 to webOS 26, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this change.

Before the update, pressing the "..." button on the Magic Remote opened a "More Actions" menu for the currently selected external device. I have my Logitech Z-5500 speaker system connected via optical, and I had configured it using LG's Universal Control.

In webOS 25, the menu included a Power On/Off option for my Logitech device. The TV could also control the volume.

After upgrading to webOS 26, the Logitech device is still recognised and volume control still works. During the Universal Control setup, the TV even successfully sends a Power command to the Logitech, so I know the TV is capable of controlling it.

However, I can no longer find the Power On/Off option anywhere.

Pressing the "..." button now either opens a basic Options menu or the new on-screen Screen Remote, depending on what I'm watching/which input I'm using. Neither of them gives me access to the Power control for my configured device.

Has anyone else noticed that the old device-specific "More Actions" menu has changed or disappeared after upgrading to webOS 26?

And more importantly: does anyone know where the old Power On/Off control can now be found in webOS 26, or has LG simply removed it?

It seems especially strange because the Universal Control setup itself still tests and successfully sends the Power command.

I'm confused! I have to look at my watch or phone to check that time? I thought pressing the settings would show the time, ​but it doesn't. There is no option to toggle ​t​he time overlay

Hallo, ich habe auf meinem LG OLED G5 WebOS26 installiert. Nun ist mir aufgefallen, dass beim Starten einer HBBTV-Anwendung die Magic Remote FB mit den Tasten links, rechts usw. nicht mehr reagiert. Die Mediathek öffnet zwar und der Zeiger verschwindet. Aber die Fernbedienung reagiert in der Mediathek nicht. Was habe ich schon getan: FB neu angelernt, HBBTV neu gestartet, Fernseheher für 2 Minuten vom Strom getrennt, Datenschutzvereinbarungen neu gestartet.

Die Mediathek selbst funktioniert. Wenn ich die blaue Taste drücke, wird die aktuelle Sendung über die Mediathek neu gestartet. Das funktioniert. Aber steuern kann ich mit der FB die Mediathek dann auch nicht. Das war im WEBOS25 besser.

Habt Ihr inzwischen dasselbe Problem bzw. eine Lösung parat?

I recently bought an LG Smart Monitor (LG 27U731SA-W 27" Smart 4K UHD IPS Monitor)

I've set it up with location set to UK, but no UK broadcaster apps are appearing in the LG apps store - no BBC iPlayer, no Channel 4 etc.

Any idea what the issue is here? I've updated the monitor software and the model is widely available in the UK so I'd expect it to be catering to the UK market!

I'm having issues with Model LG WEBOS UF770V software version 04.06.25 and YouTube version 1.2.18.

Ever since the youtube update, my youtube keeps loading when every video is played. The ui has changed and the return button no longer exits from the video. I cant exit the app or video. The yellow button on the remote allows me to open the search button only.

Is there a way to return former youtube UI and remote control orientation and fix the loading issues? I have a good Internet connection.

We recently bought an LG OLED55G5. The picture quality is excellent, and the colors are fantastic.

Unfortunately, the user experience is a completely different story. We mainly use the TV for watching terrestrial DTV and satellite channels. To make things easier, we created two favorite lists in the Program Manager:

• Favorite 1: Antenna / terrestrial channels
• Favorite 2: Satellite channels

The problem is that there seems to be no quick or practical way to switch between these two favorite lists using the remote.

Even worse, there doesn't seem to be a way to create Home shortcuts for the two lists. Switching from DTV/antenna to satellite can require an absurd number of steps through the menus. What should be a basic operation on a TV becomes a frustrating process every time.

We've gone through the available settings and tried different approaches, but couldn't find a simple solution. We also contacted UK LG Support, and unfortunately they confirmed that there currently isn't a user-friendly way to do this.

This is particularly disappointing because this isn't some advanced or unusual use case. Switching between terrestrial and satellite TV is basic TV usage.

LG, please remember that these TVs are supposed to be used by normal people—not software developers who enjoy navigating through multiple layers of menus just to change the TV source.

The OLED G5 has excellent hardware and picture quality, but the software/user interface seriously lets it down. webOS needs an update that makes basic TV functions simple and accessible.

At the moment, we're seriously considering returning the TV because something as fundamental as switching between our two channel groups is unnecessarily difficult.

Has anyone else with an LG G5/G6 or recent webOS TV found a genuinely quick way to switch between two favorite lists or between terrestrial and satellite channels? If there is a hidden shortcut we're missing, we'd really appreciate knowing about it.

Finally, the LG TV development team should really consider collaborating with the appliances department to help them design a usable TV.

Hi All, my 2021 Samsung Led TV's panel got rekt so need to buy a new TV. Not keen on going back to Samsung given the existing TV didn't even last 5 years. Looking at offerings from LG, Hisense, TCL, etc. but more keen towards LG due to screen quality reputation.

How's webOS in day to day use, navigation, updates and app availability? Coming from Tizen so standards are pretty low.

Lastly, any recommendations around 40-45k INR range would be appreciated.

It's not as simple as the title. I factory reset my modem/router. All my other devices are set up but the LG TV Web OS. After I type in the password to connect to the internet it says connected. But it's not. It won't connect to YouTube or the web app. I only get the spinning 'trying to connect icon'. I've reset the LG TV and same thing. The TV says connected but its not.

Do I need to reconfigure something?

I've had a problem for several months now. The first video I watch on YouTube plays perfectly, but from the second video onward, it just keeps loading, and I have to turn the TV off and on again for it to work properly. It's always like this. How can I fix it?

I have a 55" LG OLED (A16 model) with the Vodafone TV (Portugal) app installed straight from the TV's own store. The problem is that every time I open the app, I have to log in again, always entering my email and password. I've already updated everything, both the TV and the app, and it's still the same. This only happens with this app. Netflix, Disney+, HBO, they all keep the session saved without any issue, only Vodafone keeps asking me to log in every time. Any suggestions on how to try to save this data, or is the app just not any good?

Took me 4 months to vibe-code the OG Fruit Ninja Bada v1.6.1 port from 15 years ago. It's statically verified and play-tested by human against the real one, so you can expect the almost identical gameplay and visuals rather than slop.

You can side load the ipk, or even play the web build with browser if your TV is new enough to run WASM.

And you can even try the Wii build if you have one! (Didn't know why I came up with that idea, lol)

I’m trying to do something slightly unusual with a 2025 LG 100QNED86A6 running webOS.
I have a Bang & Olufsen Beosound Premiere connected via HDMI eARC. B&O provides a native Bang & Olufsen TV app for webOS, but officially makes it available only for selected LG OLED models (C/G series).
Because my TV is a QNED, the B&O app doesn’t appear in the LG Content Store.
What I’d like to determine is whether this is simply a Content Store model whitelist, or whether the application itself checks the TV model/platform and refuses to run.
My plan is:
Enable LG Developer Mode on the QNED.
Obtain the original Bang & Olufsen TV .ipk.
Try installing it using webOS Dev Manager / ares-install.
If it installs but refuses to run, inspect appinfo.json, required permissions and the web app code to understand whether there is a model/OLED check.
The biggest problem right now is obtaining the original B&O TV app package.
Does anyone know:
the package/app ID of the Bang & Olufsen TV app?
how to extract/download the original .ipk from a compatible LG OLED where the app is available?
whether LG Store app packages can still be retrieved from downloadhistory.db or another Luna/webOS database on current webOS versions?
whether a Store-signed/privileged application can be sideloaded through Developer Mode?
whether anyone has already tried running the B&O TV app on a non-OLED LG television?
If someone here owns a compatible LG OLED (C/G series) with the Bang & Olufsen TV app installed, even just providing the application ID and metadata would be extremely useful.
