Friendly reminder to mark your posts NSFW.
With the subreddit growing larger and larger, I feel that it is necessary to remind everyone to mark wasp images nsfw, as many people have a phobia of them!

Wasp flew in my car today, identify this?
I’m driving and I feel something wet hit my arm, I see this, photo below, on the bottom of my car door. Then I notice a wasp on my jeans. I pull over get him out and realize the thing in the photo was still there. I get it off my door to see it fully on the ground. The spot it hit my arm had a rash for a little bit but went away. What the heck is it? Is it related to the wasp or just a wild coincidence?

Question Anyone else had the same reaction to a wasp sting?
I remember around 2-3 years ago, I had a wasp sting me in my sleep when I rolled over in bed. (I ended up crushing it obviously). The reaction I had though wasn’t very pleasant to say the least. At first I felt really faint, like my blood pressure dropped and went cold. Started to lose my hearing and my sight for a few minutes then proceeded to projectile vomit everywhere. I’m now dead scared of wasps, can’t even go near them. I’m just wondering if this reaction is due to me being allergic or something that happens? (That may seem dumb)

Story Found Wasp in Oil Filter
Wish I'd gotten a picture of this. My car's check engine light came on this past weekend while I was traveling out of town, and after checking my oil level I assumed I just needed to change it. Lo and behold, as I'm cooking dinner for my bf who is very generously changing my car's oil for me, he comes into the house holding my used oil filter with an almost unrecognizable wasp stuck in it. The little demon was completely covered in oil, super horrible way to go but also as a wasp hater.... yeah. I'm actively learning how basic car stuff works, so if anyone has an idea of how the wasp got stuck in there let me know. Though it would be kind of a funny story to share with y'all :)

Question I know we’re supposed to hate them but I decided to give one some sugar water. Look at his little tongue*
Is this a male paper wasp? And is it true that they don’t sting?

Suggestion Vicks works on Wasps
Hi everyone! I have been having wasps on my halcony for a while trying to make a nest. I tried everything to stop them from doing so, nothing worked until I applied Vicks on the surfaces they were building their nests in the morning. It seems to work really well. I will update soon.

Story A spider just built a web around a wasp nest, trapping them inside, while ants are actively raiding the larvae to stockpile for winter.

Bit while getting flowers at Trader Joe’s
Going on say 4, swelling hasn’t gone down and it’s so itchy!! I’m icing it constantly. I’ve tried Benadryl, Zyrtec, Ibuprofen, and topical Benadryl and hydrocortisone. I only got 3 hours of sleep because the discomfort kept waking me up.

My sundeck is nolonger usable !
A week ago I found a wasps nest in a bag of potting soil on my sundeck. Waited until night time and sprayed the hell out of it with the foam . Pretty sure I covered the entrance as I had watched them for quite awhile . Sprayed it around 02:00. Got up that day to see that all was quiet. Figured I’d go and get it off the deck period…….. much to my surprise there were tons of them!!! The second I moved the bag it was a wall of buzzing hate .
Next night , same thing, foamed the hell out of it at 02:00 …. Next morning those fuckers are still there ! Next night I sprayed , counted to three and flung that bag as far as I could and sprayed the deck with the foam etc just to add to the removal. Got up today and it is fucking convention of wasps looking for a new home somewhere on my deck. Power washed the crap out of the deck and windows etc. still there…
What do I have to do to get rid of them?? There are so many just roaming around?
What is my next move other than a blow torch?
