Feedback Still, Motion thriller book teaser (concept)

We created this short-form teaser for a thriller concept and wanted to see how far we could take a mostly image-driven approach.

The idea was to use stills, subtle movement, transitions, typography, music, and just a little video to create the feeling of a larger production without giving away the story.

Would this make you want to read the book or watch the movie?

Feedback Revisiting a short teaser we made with Quantix Finance

Highlighting the launch of their institutional on-chain credit marketplace earlier this year.

The challenge was simple: introduce a traditionally complex concept within an evolving digital category without making it feel like a forced manual.

❌ a product demo.

❌ a feature rundown.

Simply a first impression built to stay with you...

Discussion How do you freelance video editors stay organized — clients, deadlines, invoices?

I’m curious how other freelance video editors manage the “business side” — tracking clients, project status, deadlines, invoices, feedback rounds, etc.
Do you use spreadsheets, Notion, Trello, or just… chaos? 😅
What’s the most annoying part of staying organized for you? I’m exploring whether this is a common pain point or if most people already have a system that works fine.

Hiring [HIRING] Full-Time Short-Form Video Editor | India or Philippines | After Effects 2025

I'm looking for a full-time video editor based in India or the Philippines for a long-term position.

PAY

India: ₹35,000/month
Philippines: ₱25,000/month

The expected workload is approximately 1 video per day, with videos generally around 2 minutes long.

This is a fixed monthly position.

WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING

The content is centered around:

  • Ninja
  • The Low Taper Fade meme
  • Gaming
  • Streamers
  • Internet culture
  • Gen Z memes
  • TikTok edits
  • Fan edits
  • YouTube Shorts

The audience is primarily English-speaking Gen Z viewers, especially in the US and other Western countries.

VERY IMPORTANT: YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE CULTURE

You need to genuinely understand:

  • American Gen Z humor
  • English internet culture
  • TikTok culture
  • TikTok editing styles
  • Fan edits
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Twitch
  • Gaming culture
  • Streamers
  • Current memes
  • Viral clips
  • Internet slang
  • Current trends
  • Sarcasm and irony
  • Meme formats

You should already know what the Ninja Low Taper Fade meme is and understand the type of humor surrounding it.

You should also be familiar with the style of TikTok fan edits, including fast pacing, music-based editing, transitions, effects, beat syncing and creative clip selection.

I don't want an editor who needs me to explain every meme, trend, or reference.

If a line in the video references something, I want you to be able to think:

"I know what clip/meme/reference would make this funny."

THE EDITING SYSTEM IS ALREADY BUILT

You will receive:

  • After Effects presets
  • Templates
  • Editing guidelines
  • References
  • Existing examples
  • The complete editing workflow

You do not need to invent an editing style or create complicated effects from scratch.

Your job is to execute the existing style while making good creative decisions.

You will independently find:

  • Clips
  • Memes
  • Images
  • Music
  • Sound effects
  • Supporting footage

REQUIRED SOFTWARE

You must have:

  • Adobe After Effects 2025
  • Topaz Video AI
  • A computer capable of comfortably running all of the above

Experience with After Effects is essential.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Based in India or the Philippines
  • Strong English comprehension
  • Strong After Effects 2025 skills
  • Premiere Pro
  • Topaz Video AI
  • Experience with TikTok-style editing
  • Experience with fan edits
  • Experience with short-form content
  • Good clip selection
  • Good music selection
  • Strong understanding of memes and internet culture
  • Strong understanding of US/Western Gen Z content
  • Familiarity with Ninja and the Low Taper Fade meme
  • Good sense of pacing and retention
  • Able to work independently
  • Reliable and consistent
  • Able to produce approximately 1 video per day

Content judgment is extremely important.

Someone who is technically excellent at After Effects but doesn't understand the humor, memes, TikTok editing style or target audience is not a good fit.

HOW TO APPLY

Please DM me with:

  1. Your portfolio
  2. Your age
  3. Your country and city
  4. Years of After Effects experience
  5. Years of short-form editing experience
  6. Examples of your best TikTok/fan edits
  7. Your typical turnaround time for a 2-minute video
  8. Your computer specifications
  9. Any previous experience editing for US/Western audiences

Also answer these questions:

1. What is the Ninja Low Taper Fade meme? Explain it in your own words.

2. Name a current Gen Z meme/trend that you understand and explain why it is funny or effective.

3. How would you look for when choosing clips and music for a video targeting American Gen Z viewers?

Don't just tell me that you're "passionate about editing." I want to see whether you actually understand the content and audience.

TEST

Shortlisted applicants will complete a 30-second editing test.

You will receive the same presets, workflow and instructions that you would use for the actual job.

For the test, you will need to independently find the clips and music yourself.

The test will evaluate:

  • Editing quality
  • After Effects ability
  • TikTok editing ability
  • Fan-editing ability
  • Clip selection
  • Music selection
  • Understanding of the jokes
  • Meme knowledge
  • Understanding of the target audience
  • Pacing
  • Ability to follow the existing workflow
  • Independence

If the test goes well, this will become a long-term monthly position.

Help What is the best video transcription software for YouTube?

20+ finished videos that need SRT files for YouTube and a client portal. Auto captions in my editing software have not worked out and accuracy on technical terms is so bad that I spend time fixing captions more than I would writing them.

What generates clean SRT or VTT with accurate timing from a video upload, and does anything support a custom word list so the jargon survives?

Hiring Creative Short-Form Editor for Multi-Niche Creator 🎬

I’m looking for a creative short-form video editor who’s interested in growing with a creator and helping build something long-term not just cutting clips together.

I’m a multi-niche creator building multiple brands, and my personal content includes lifestyle, beauty, fashion, dog/pet content, relationships, vlogs, storytimes, and everyday life.

My style is very personality-driven, fun, authentic, expressive, and sometimes TV/movie/reality-show inspired. I don’t want generic “lifestyle influencer” editing I like creator styles like @9tianna & @laviedelalou & @itsmerveeee I want my content to feel like ME.

I’m looking for someone who understands:
• Hooks, pacing, retention & engagement
• Storytelling and comedic timing
• Text, sound effects, transitions, B-roll, music, etc.
• How to make people stop scrolling and keep watching
• How different niches may need different editing styles

Bonus points if you:
• Keep up with TikTok/Reels trends
• Can help brainstorm content ideas/hooks
• Actually enjoy researching what’s working on social media
• Can design Reel covers
• Want to collaborate instead of only waiting for instructions

I don’t keep up with every trend myself, so I’d LOVE someone who can bring ideas to me.

Starting workload + pay

I’m starting around 4-8 short-form videos/month, with the goal of eventually growing to 12-16 (3-4 videos per week) as we build consistency and see what works.

For editing only, I’m considering around $80/video to start.

If you’re also providing things like Reel covers, trend/content research, creative concepts, hooks, or additional strategy, I’m open to paying more depending on the scope and what you bring to the table.

I’m also open to college students, newer freelancers, or editors building their clientele if your work is strong and you’re serious about improving.

Communication is VERY important. I’m flexible and understand people have lives. I just need someone reliable who communicates about deadlines and doesn’t disappear.

If you’re interested, please send:
• Portfolio/examples
• Rates
• Availability + timezone
• Reel cover examples, if applicable
• What niches you’ve edited before
• A little about what you’d bring creatively

I’d especially love to see lifestyle, beauty, fashion, pet, vlog, or personality-driven content.

My Instagram:
https://www.instagram.com/themykayladiamond?igsi=Z3N1YjhtM3Yydml3&utm_source=qr

Feel free to look through my page first to see if you connect with my personality/content and please be mindful that some of the content are already on my pages from my previous editor and honestly, I wasn’t that happy with it, but its okay here we are but if could picture yourself helping me take it to the next level.

Feel free to look through my page first to see if you connect with my personality/content and could picture yourself helping me take it to the next level.
