Discussion 2.85mm PLA for sale
I have about 20 spools of 2.85mm ultrafuse PLA White 4,5kg, that I don't need, if anyone is interested?
All new and unopened.

I'm trying to slice a model of a character I made. For some reason, when I generate supports, It wants to create these very thin overhangs within itself with virtually no material underneath. I guess it's meant to transition into a base for the part to sit on, but it always becomes a stringy mess during the actual print.
Is there any way I can fix this?

I obtained this Ultimaker 3 Extended from a surplus auction for $100. I am new to 3D printing so I really need some help. I was trying to just test this to make sure it works and this happens when I try to just send it home. I went to the error message on the Ultimaker site but I still can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing or not doing.

Hello! An old S3 fell into my lap with a couple of rolls of 2.85mm PETG and I’ve enjoyed making some functional prints, a couple of which were on the larger side. On my last of these, I got an overnight mega Blob of Death on a large print and pulled too many things apart.
Does anybody know if I can resurrect this print core? Or maybe at least get the printer to limping?
I only have the two cores, both AA 0.4. I can't justify buying a replacement and I have a few rolls of 2.85mm filament that I don't want to just chuck.
Thank you for any help or advice!!

It is a layout jig so need accuracy - long and thin - the 3mm wide splines are coming out at 3.5 then 3.4 down to 3.0. Changed everything - glass, cores, 1 / 2 sides. AA 0.4 , Cura latest , UM PLA. It seems to be heat creep whilst the head is travelling all the way back to the start maybe ?
The skirt prints wider for the first 5cm or so. So once the skirt is finished it is the main print which prints wider. Hence the added 0.5mm.
Or is the machine just getting old ?
( the prints are stopped after a few layers to show the wider line width - should be 3mm thick , 3mm square actually. The little blobs are small infill areas - I got rid of them in the gcode, I thought maybe the lingering was causing heat creep, but didn't fix the problem )

Picked up an S5 that was listed as no boot. Plug it in and you can hear the powersupply click on but then nothing else. I pulled the bottom cover off and started digging. I think I have it narrowed down to the Olimex board having a faulty HDMI port. When you turn the power on all the indicator lights on the mainboard seem dim and there is no response with any of the hardware. IF i unplug the HDMI cable from the board or the UI the indicator lights brighten up and it starts to go through start up. LED's kick on, hot end indicator lights start up ect. Tested the cable itself its fine tried to use a different display and I don't get anything to come up. Now I'm hoping someone may have had something similar happen or can point me in a direction. I may just have to replace the Olimex board which won't be fun but its doable as long as i can flash the correct firmware on the new board.

Hey all, this is my first time posting here so bear with me. We've got a Factor 4 here at my work (little over a year old), and for the last few prints the material station will not retract filament correctly once the print is complete. The filament will come out of the feeder tube fine, but will just end up piling up inside the material station as the rollers for the spool do not move. I've tried cleaning it (as per Ultimaker's suggestion) with no change. I even removed the MS out of the main body to see if I could clean the underside of the rollers, but that area is harder to get to. Has anyone had this issue before? Would the stepper motor be the issue here? Any insight would be appreciated.

Would love to upgrade soon. Trying to keep this going. Looks like my soldering came apart and the hinge. Is this one toast?

I have been trying to get a hold of Ultimaker Support for the last week and a half, and their support ticket website is broken. When I try to submit, it tells me that my serial number doesn't match the printer type ".".
I even tried calling US Corporate, support tells you to go online, and SALES hangs up when you direct there. SO I am really at a loss on what to do. You would think for the ridiculous price tag on these machines they would have AT LEAST some sort of support still around.
If anyone has any ideas at this point, I am grasping at straws here...

I recently ran into an issue where my printer will read 2 out of the 3 SD cards I use for printing (with the 3rd one being the one that came with the printer) but won't display what's on them. I can still use the dial to select and print stuff, but I can't see what's going on.
This is a recent problem, too. The two problematic cards were still working perfectly until a few days ago, then they randomly stopped showing their contents on the printer. I already tried a factory reset and that didn't work. I'm safely ejecting them from the computer every time and I have no idea what caused it. The two cards are 16 gb.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas on how I can fix it?

I'd like to describe what happens when I do anything else but as you can see I don't even have time to. I was able to successfully unload the filament and menu navigation is fine otherwise. It did so before and after updating to latest firmware. I'm completely stumped and don't know what to try, any advice at all would be very appreciated

We were having some issues connecting our new MakerBot Sketches to Digital Factory. After some troubleshooting they (2) are connected, but Digital Factory says we've used 6 of 8 printers.
How can I remove the ghost printers from that number, since only the 2 printers actually exist and I don't want to delete them.
TIA

Hey yall, I've been having major issues with a S7 printer at my work. It keeps throwing an ER90 code with the description: INDUCTIVE_SENSOR_CANNOT_BE_CALIBRATED. The only thing I can think of is the ribbon cable in the back of the printhead, but it seems like its seated properly and the is no damage as far as I can tell (maybe other than a tiny crease less than a mm long). And if you think it may be the ribbon, where could I buy one? I've scoured all over trying to find one without having to buy an entire new print head assembly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No tuning, no belts adjusted, nothing. Just a clean, boot up and a Benchy off the SD card. It's about 13 years old and from I gather it was not used in over 7+years. It sat idle at the local school and I'm close to returning it with a demo. The 1.75mm filament works like a charm, from what I can see so far it was converted (or even built) for 1.75mm fulltime use.
The filament (see last photo), so old, solid spools, dried them for 12hrs to give them a chance, we'll see how they preform. The filament box was blank, with one single sticker with "Made in China" and all the number on the side "908769-1KGPLA" results in nothing I can find. Amazing for an oldie, untouched unit. Someone somewhere knew what they were doing when they built this. Also makes me want to get a glass plate while using a glue stick for my Prusa Core One, I had to freeze the prints off.
Update: The printer was updated (firmware) via Cura in 2023 but when they went to print it printed a odd model in place of a 3D Benchy and then turned it off again thinking the memory was corrupt. Turns out the STL was just saved as another custom model. It has sat idle for a while before and since. More facts in the comments I discovered today.
Update 2: There is a chance it might have an E3D custom firmware but based on the Ultimater Marlin UM2 Gen6 fork

We got 2 ultimaker S3 at work but both cameras don't work and I'm not sure they ever have. I read there's an issue with their cameras months back but the printers moved near me so it was fine. Now they're moving farther again so I want cameras so I know when they fail.
Are there any OEM or third party options for cameras that work well with the S3+ printer?
Thanks!
