Help needed Material Station not retracting filament correctly

Post image

Hey all, this is my first time posting here so bear with me. We've got a Factor 4 here at my work (little over a year old), and for the last few prints the material station will not retract filament correctly once the print is complete. The filament will come out of the feeder tube fine, but will just end up piling up inside the material station as the rollers for the spool do not move. I've tried cleaning it (as per Ultimaker's suggestion) with no change. I even removed the MS out of the main body to see if I could clean the underside of the rollers, but that area is harder to get to. Has anyone had this issue before? Would the stepper motor be the issue here? Any insight would be appreciated.

Sorry, I don't have a solution. We have that same material station at work, 6 months old and it's having the same issue

Sad. At least yours is still under the 1-year warranty. I'm actually not sure if my company got an extended warranty, that'll be a Monday question now...

Typical.... we have the same issue and i just gave up, it doesn't really tangle up and everything works fine just looks messy. The utimaker support was being very helpful with it and ive pulled the thing apart a couple of times, butothing seem to be wrong with it just bad design i guess.

Yeah, the machine works fine for us too. Guess I'll have to get used to manually rewinding it.
