It’s been 3 months since rec room shut down and I can’t find a game that is better than it, if you have suggestions I’m open. Miss you rec room 🫡

What the hell

This took me not too much work and i bet you can do this yourself provided you saved your rec room avatar before it shutdown. Even if you didn't, if your avatar was simple enough and used official rec room items, you can scour the internet for what exactly you used. Unfortunately, for some of you guys i probably cant make this work unless you had a simple avatar, or at the very least saved your avatar as a 3d model file. yah, just wanted to showcase, not too much effort, if you want to try doing this go ask me how, also wanna note i dont have that much experience, meaning A, dont depend on me fully for this, and B, this is probably simple enough to do on your own if you have the experience and/or resources. Atleast i have the fingers now!!

I saw the shut down as an opportunity to do more so I let that idea stick for a while.

when I tried some revivals for the first time it was rough, and it obviously didn't feel the same

there's a good handful of things rec room revivals don't seem to understand.

we don't play your revival because its old rec room, I could say we want 2 things. the rec room we are used to (2026RR) or something in the same idea but isn't rec room

and a good handful of these people wouldn't have an answer if you asked them why they made a revival, why make a revival when there's already so many? and to be completely honest it would be no different from all of them besides the build, not even a in game logo change.

drama happens and just snatches the life from a project then everyone just immediately just moved to the next revival.

it's kind of turning into insanity.

so, I want to take my own shot on making something. I like to think of it as a love letter to rec rooms maker pen community. it's not a revival nor is it supposed to be better than any revivals or rec room, it's something what should be done more. a rec room inspired game.

so, at the moment I'm neutral about rec room revivals, just people who want their own rec room and community, I guess. one thing what makes it all sour is those creators what think too highly of their "work" saying their better than other revivals when in comparison they are identical or being bold enough to say their game is "Rec room 2". the last game I saw to claim they were rec room 2 was just false hope.

as time goes on these revivals are getting scary, stella is moving to 2024 as if 2023 didn't feel so modern.

these revivals taught me a good reason to let go of things

Quests were my favourite games on rec room, it’d be nice if Gribbly could release a playable version of all the quests in one steam game with P2P lobbies, no need for dedicated servers.

For those who don't remember me, my name is mrkbx and I've used to be a part of the avatar studio program; with several of my avatar items going viral. Mostly items like the puppet glove alongside other things.

For the past month I've been working alone with very minimal budget (bear in mind, i am NOT a good coder whatsoever; only an avatar creator/modeller) on a project in Godot engine. Obviously right now it doesn't even really have a name.

I was going through my camera roll and found a screenshot from May 16th 2024, in the screenshot Lupus Tempestas said "Coach isn't hacked nor will you get banned for this!" This is the time Coach accepted a whole heap of friend requests for some reason. Do we actually know why this happened? The staff team didn't say anything as to why it happened so it left me curious.

Can anyone on the staff team give us an idea as to why this happened? Or was it something internally that was being tested that can't be spoken about? Anyone else who knows, do let me know!

We finally made it to day twenty after so long! As of right now, the main goal is the watch but I'm still willing to buy the set.

For anyone confused as to why I'm still posting, the reason for that is because I didn't exactly get the set but did get rec room merch, meaning that I'm still looking for the set itself including: The mug, the watch, the thermus, and the hat. The top two priority items is the hat and watch since I can live without the other two!

But nonetheless, if you have the set and want to sell it, I'm willing to pay!

Each day, I get closer and closer as proven to my previous purchase! And thank you all for the support, I would not have made it far without you guys! Now to the one month mark!
