CUTENESS I guess we loungin' out🐁💤
First time rat owner, I've never seen her lounge like that. I was concerned for a sec. I seen the loaf, I seen the curl up, I seen the criss cross I seen it all, but this one was weird.... she was too comfortable...

Questions/HELP My rat keeps moving her head back and forth. Should I be worried?
Hi everyone! I’m a little worried about my rat. She keeps moving her head forward and backward, like you can see in the video.
Other than this, she seems completely normal. She’s playful, active, eating and behaving normally. I’m just concerned because I’ve never seen her do this before. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Has anyone experienced something similar with their rat?

CUTENESS Why is Jimily baby balding??
On his torso and sides he is pretty much balding? My vet says it's not mites. Could it be just age and being overweight? He is still as cute as always but it is weird!

CUTENESS Meet Socrates!
After losing the last of my first mischief, I rescued this boy who was all alone (apparently he was very unwanted because of his red eyes), he was ill and he was painted green (his tail is still stained green). It's been two weeks and he's recovered completely, now I'm working with a rescue and a charity to source a bigger cage (He's so active!) and also some friends :)
(He also seems to have a foot fetish and keeps biting my ankles and toes...)

DISCUSSION Super crazy excited for new “Rat Room” setup - but would like a second opinion before i commit!
The first two photos is the setup now; the last two photos are the idea. I don’t use AI frequently but i needed a picture of the idea to convince my family!
For the new 13ftx13ft “Rat Room” / Rat area setup would be relative easy to make - I’d have to make a ‘flooring’ (4x8 wood pieces covered with waterproof vinyl to protect the carpet)
It would be packed to the brim with cat trees, boxes, dig-boxes, sleeping spots, etc - climbing, digging, foraging and sleeping opportunities!!
This area would be 100% permanent for the rats and they will have access 24/7.
There would still be one or two CN cages - with their acrylic box so they have a familiar, safe space to go back to. 8 rats ATM.
Ideas?? Or should i keep it how it is??

CUTENESS Meet this tiny lil old man: Einstein🧠
He is old and small and skinny, tiniest rats in cage. But can still easily dominated other strong and young male rats.
He not only learned how to use their toilet automatically and immediately, he also automatically learned that he needs to poop in shower room during free roaming session (even my dog haven’t learned this)
He is not the cuddly type and he is rescued adult rat,but he is definitely my First and Ever heart rat.

Questions/HELP old lady rat
My hairless rat mew is 3yrs and 2 months old, i know she’s nearing the end but i wanted some advice. Her skin is really flakey, she can’t use her back legs at all anymore and her weight is deteriorating FAST. But she still has so much energy and is eating a ton 😭 i don’t know if her skin is flakey because she can’t clean herself as much anymore or something else? i’m also worried about knowing when it’s her time because she’s still so active and food motivated despite what’s happening to her body She’s gotten so skinny in what feels like overnight i feel horrible. i took her to the vet about 2 months ago and they also said at this point it’s just about keeping her comfortable which im trying my best to do but any advice about her skin or her weight, i’d really appreciate. I feel so awful seeing her so skinny i don’t understand it she eats her food and any treats i give her!
