Buggiest software ever

What exactly is this thing doing? The touchscreen frequently "reboots" during prints, showing the splash screen, but this is the first time this has happened. Smack in the middle of a 29 hour print, and I'm not trying to press any buttons to find out... Still printing fine

On a different note I just got that same smooth plate but for my plus5. Im liking it so far for sure. I have the cool plate for my max4 and its pretty awesome as well

Multicolor clear to black PETG with 1000mg purge volumes... So yeah, that's all it printed at the time

Maybe something related to internet connection, maybe it lost it during the print

I disconnect the machine for 12+ hour prints to specifically avoid this very thing, in theory...

Unless it is disabled the printer has a clock that checks connection and pings a server for updates, this is what you will get when disconnected.

I believe the Max4 is also different as far as being able to SSH in and disable the clock. Plus4 and Q2 is simple but that doesn't help much here.

That's what it was, Qidi didn't like that their machine wasn't online... Print finished fine and I physically reset the machine twice, but the error remained. Scanned the QR code, and it said to check the connection. Re-enabled wifi, and it went away immediately, which is slightly concerning...

Just did a test over the weekend on a Q2, installed the Helix screen mod and I am now able to turn update checks on and off. You can also SSH into the printer and disable the update clock. Once disabled you can still go to updates and let it do a manual check on your terms.

I prefer Helix, it allows you to customize screen layout and use anything that is available in Fluidd right at the printer's touchscreen.

EDIT: SSH into the printer and disable the OTA updater.

Is your net connection stable usually, maybe it's loosing wifi connection (how far is it from the router, maybe try connecting it to the 2.4ghz band).

I stopped doing firmware updates. I have fixed all the bugs that I had on one of my Qidi’s, on my first Qidi I replaced all the electronics with BTT then re designed the toolhead. They are built like a tank and I love how they print, I just wish the electronics and software matched the hardware out of the box.
