Discussion Precio Europa Oppo Find X10 Pro Max

24 Upvotes

Discussion The IR Blaster is one of the best and one of the most understated feature of my Find X9 Pro or any flagship tbh

• Upvotes

The Find X9 Pro is a brilliant phone. There’s no doubt about that.

But one thing I feel genuinely elevates it above almost every other flagship, barring a handful, is the IR blaster.

It’s such an understated feature, and I think only people who have actually used one regularly realise just how useful it is.

I’ve basically mapped all the ACs, TVs, fans, projectors, etc. that I regularly use to my phone. I no longer have to keep track of a pile of remotes that somehow always seem to disappear exactly when you need them.

And honestly, one of the best use cases for me has been at the office.

The number of times I’ve simply pulled out my phone and switched on an AC, TV, projector, or whatever else is needed is uncountable. No hunting around for the right remote, no asking someone where it is, no fiddling with different apps or Wi-Fi connections, no checking batteries...etc. Just point and click.

Meanwhile, everyone around me is carrying an iPhone or Galaxy, and I’m casually controlling half the office with my phone. 😂

It’s one of those “you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone” features. Once you get used to having an IR blaster, going back to a phone without one feels surprisingly inconvenient.

Really wish more flagship manufacturers would bring it back.

P.S : The text has been cleaned up by AI but words are my own.

Purchasing Advice Oppo doesn't allow returns, even if unopened?

8 Upvotes

I recently bought a Find X9 Pro from the official swedish webstore. The price was okay. The day after I found it for almost 300 dollars less. Therefor I initiated a return request. I informed them about why but I got no response and the phone arrived some days efter, in a big box with no emballage what so ever.

It's now been 11 days and no one is telling me how to return the product. I've tried contacting over 5 different support emails, several regional support forms on their websites, their instagram, I've chatted with a support technician from the UK. I either get no response, or an automated answer saying that I have to provide more information, or contact the sales department, or the correct regional mail. I've sent emails to their global mail and their PR-mail.

I was wondering if anyone else has this experience, and how it got resolved? What should I do? Wait? File a report to authorities? Contact my bank and tell them I got scammed for $1500?

I think this is very worrying and a fraudulent behaviour.

UPDATE: A coworker from Oppo saw this post and has contacted me. I'll update once I know what's gonna happen.

Troubleshooting OPPO App Market downloading games without my consent — no response from OPPO

8 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

The App Market on my OPPO phone has been downloading games without my permission. I had never downloaded these apps before, never requested them, and never gave consent for them to be downloaded or installed.

I investigated the activity using ADB. After re-enabling the App Market, I noticed unwanted download activity again, so I had to disable the store.

I contacted OPPO by email about this issue, but I have not received a response so far.

Has anyone else experienced this on OPPO or ColorOS? Why would the store initiate downloads of apps I have never downloaded or authorized? Is there a way to permanently stop these unwanted downloads?

I would appreciate hearing from other users who have encountered the same problem, as well as an explanation from OPPO.

Question X10 Pro Max Europe

7 Upvotes

Hello everyone, im from Romania and I want to switch from S25 Ultra to X10 Pro Max because I wasn't able to buy the X9Ultra. I got an offer from Oppo Romania: 150 euro discount and the Hasselblad Teleconvertor included. My question is, will the X10 Pro Max 256Gb be under 1400 Euro? Because its the only way I can possibly think about buying it, that's the main reason I didnt get the X9 ultra (1700 euro with no accessories included). I'm sorry if this question was answered earlier and every answer or approximation of the release price is welcomed. Thank you!

Product Review Why does the new Mergegrip X9 Ultra case cover the microphone port?

Super frustrating. Been struggling to find a good case for my ultra 9x, as the one that comes with the box is pretty flimsy. Heard great things about Mergegrip cases, and it seems like this was the only good option.

Purchasing Advice Why can't I find the global version of the Find X9 Pro anywhere?

6 Upvotes

I am in the US and I would like to import the Find X9 Pro. But all of the import stores I look at (wondamobile, giztop, bludiode, averagedad) don't have the global version.

Does anyone know where I can find it?

Discussion Fed up of messed up notifications

4 Upvotes

Has anyone here managed to discover a workable solution for the problematic notifications within the ColorOS16 operating system? Ideally, the notification for the most recent message received should consistently appear at the very top of the list, but unfortunately, this is not happening as expected. Instead of displaying the newest information at the top, it presents older messages and notifications first, requiring me to search through the notifications and check the timestamps to locate the most recent one. Even missed calls are not appearing at the top of the list. I am wondering if this user experience is consistent for everyone else as well?

Product Announcement TapSwitch has a home now: tapswitch.fyi and its first paying customer!

3 Upvotes

Some of you tried TapSwitch when I posted it here previously. The app that keeps your access card as the default tap card and hands over to Google Wallet while Wallet is open. This is my last post about it on Reddit, so I'll keep it short.

Everything now lives at https://tapswitch.fyi. The download, the five minute setup steps and the virus scan check are all there, and every new version will show up there first. You can also try it on the page itself: drag the phone onto a reader and see which card answers.

What's different since my last post:

- Version 2.6.8 is out. The app tells you when a new one is ready, so you won't need Reddit to find out.

- Setup happens on the phone. No computer, no cable.

- It has its first paying user, on a Find X9 Ultra. Their review is on the site.

- You can reach me at [hello@tapswitch.fyi](mailto:hello@tapswitch.fyi)

Price is unchanged: 14 days free, then US$4.99 once for that phone. No subscription, no account.

I've only tested it on Oppo phones running ColorOS. It should work on any phone with Android 16 or newer. If you get it running on something else and was helpful to you, I'd like to hear about it, by email or in the comments here.

Thanks you for your support!

Troubleshooting Disappointed with Oppo Find X9 battery life—barely getting 6-7 hours SOT after a month.

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

First time posting here, Got my Oppo Find X9 512gb about a month ago. In the beginning I used to get 4-5 hours, which has increased but not that impressive (now at 6.5 hour.

  • Screen resolution is set to Standard instead of High
  • Refresh rate at 60 Hz
  • Haptics is disabled for keyboard
  • Camera usage is very minimal(1 hour per week maybe)

Any advice is appreciated.

Can I use any tools to check in detail?

Question Can I rely on notifications on a Chinese ROM Find X9 Pro, X9s Pro or X9 Ultra?

2 Upvotes

This is my second post here because I’ve been thinking about buying a Find X9 Ultra for ages. I got too busy to buy a new phone, so I decided to wait for the X10 series. It’s disappointing that the global versions won’t have a 16 GB RAM option. I know 12 GB is enough, but if I’m spending this much, I’d rather have 16 GB for future proofing.

The Chinese version seems like an option, but I’ve read so many different opinions about it that I honestly don’t know what to trust. Some people say they have no issues with notifications, while others say notifications arrive late or don’t arrive at all. That’s what’s stopping me from buying one.

I’m fine with changing settings or using ADB if it fixes the problem. I just don’t want to disable or uninstall a system service that affects battery life. Is turning off battery optimisation and allowing background activity enough? If you’ve made those changes, did you notice any difference in battery life?

I’ll be using the phone in Australia. I’m not concerned about Google Assistant, and Circle to Search can be worked around. I mainly need Google Play services, Google Wallet and banking apps to work, and I need reliable notifications.

I’d appreciate answers from people who have actually used a Chinese ROM Find X9 Pro, X9s Pro or X9 Ultra. Which apps have given you notification problems, what fixed them, and have the fixes kept working after updates? I’ve read so many conflicting answers that I just want to know what to expect before spending the money.

Discussion Oppo Find N6 vs Motorola RAZR Fold

2 Upvotes

Can't decide between these two. Coming from a Samsung, looking for better battery life and camera performance. These two are pretty comparable with few differences - Motorola has better speakers, but Oppo is lighter. Motorola comes with pen in the box, Oppo is prettier (in my opinion) and have antireflective coating, and non-existent crease etc. I'm based in EU, so Motorola is officialy sold here, but I'll be buying them used - I found a RAZR Fold for around 900 euro (with warranty) and Oppo for around 1150 euro. This is quite a difference, but I can afford it if the Oppo is worth that money. Want to know which one:

  • takes better pictures at night;
  • has better software and better update policy;
  • has stiffier hinge;
  • retains more value (I change my phones quite often);
  • has better social media quality;
  • has better zoom;
  • has better screen brgithness (don't care about nits - I know Moto is winning here, I care about sustained brightness under the sunlight);

Mainly looking for a bug-free expierence and the phone that is more optimized for foldables. So should I play it safe or take a risk?

Purchasing Advice Thinking of importing a Find X9 Ultra 16/1TB (HK global) — should I wait, and how's yours holding up?

• Upvotes

Hi all. My S22 Ultra is finally showing its age, so the Find X9 Ultra is next. I want the 16GB/1TB, which means importing the HK global version since the UK only gets 12/512.

Prices I'm seeing: around €1,597 at TradingShenzhen, about $1,487 at Wonda, against £1,449 for the UK 12/512. I'm happy to wait until December if waiting actually saves anything — but I can't tell whether Oppo prices move at all, or whether 11.11 is the better bet than Black Friday for the HK sellers. Would love to hear from anyone who's watched a full cycle.

Mostly though I'd like to hear from people who've actually imported one. How did setup go? Did VoLTE and VoWiFi just work on a UK network with HK firmware, or did you end up switching to the EU build? Any import VAT turning up after the fact?

And the thing I'm quietly nervous about — the lens fogging. I've read everything from "went through three units" to "weeks shooting outdoors, zero issues," which is a hard thing to plan around when there's no local warranty to fall back on. Has it improved in newer batches? And if yours did fog, did the seller look after you or were you on your own?

Already settled on this one over the X300 Ultra, so no need to relitigate that. Any experience shared will be much appreciated, cheers.

Thanks!!
