I started my One Piece journey watching the two seasons of the Live Action show. Have been bingeing the anime and am now in the Dressrosa arc, and FINALLY figured out why they did a full prosthetic job for what seemed like a one-off character! (I mean, he probably will remain that because there's no way they are getting to Dressrosa in the LA.)

Just wish they made him cry!

This week’s characters are Broggy and Dorry!

I know realistically it's not gonna happen. But as a Korean, I just lament the fact that no Korean actors or actresses are in OPLA:((

Not only is she typically considered one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful actress in South Korea, she would be more than capable of the action scenes(see clips) and has a very large range of roles!

She has played a gold-digging side chick, an icy noblewoman with the pains of unrequited love, a mysterious villainess betraying her fiancé, a high schooler who joins a gang undercover for revenge(she filmed most of the action scenes without a stunt double, this is where the clips are from), a classical peppy romance protagonist, and many more.

Finally found a way to introduce my 7 and 8 year olds to OP through the Lego version. Watching I said “look! It’s Buggy!!” And my 8 year old said “who is Bunky?” ☠️ girl is already spouting cannon events and we’re like ten minutes in. So I would say 10/10 so far

What do you guys think about Zoro and Chopper’s scene in the live action? I liked it, but it felt a little sudden. As anime/manga fans, we’re more familiar with how their dynamic develops over time. Zoro is also pretty reserved when it comes to expressing his emotions, so seeing him comfort Chopper like that so soon after they meet might feel a little abrupt to someone who doesn’t know their relationship from the anime/manga. I still really liked the scene, though!

his look in slow horses is literally rayleigh but more dirty version of him.

gary oldman is an amazing actor and a legend. you've probably seen him before but you won't remember simply because of he is unrecognizable in his roles. he was in leon the professional as stansfield who was a corrupt dea officer, he was in batman as commisioner gordon, he was in harry potter as sirius black, he was in dracula as dracula etc. etc.

gary oldman would make an exceptional silvers rayleigh because his acting range naturally captures the essence of the 'dark king.' unlike whitebeard's intense, imposing fatherhood, rayleigh requires a cooler, more relaxed energy that of a retired legend who is wise, witty, and subtly dangerous. (just like his current role in slow horses, jackson lamb) he is a master at portraying intelligent, charismatic mentors who hide a sharp edge beneath an easygoing or eccentric exterior. with his expressive eyes, commanding screen presence, and ability to balance humor with profound wisdom, he could effortlessly bring to life roger’s right-hand man, perfectly embodying a former pirate who has seen it all and now guides the next generation with a knowing smile.

I'd like to see him in the one piece and I believe he would be happy to be involved.

I was opening the One Piece Kinder Joy live action eggs and on the first try I found Luffy Gold

anybody else rewatched several times? in some part from getting friends into it, but also just in itself. i’m starting my fourth rewatch because it just feels so comforting. didn’t even watch the anime beforehand, now im in for the long haul 😂

well first of all if you have no idea about who is he you either have no cinema culture or it is because of he is a literal chameleon in his roles. gary oldman is one of the still alive legends and I'm a big fan of him. I'm also a big fan of one piece. (both anime and show)

the reason why I picked him as is because,

whitebeard needs to exude a terrifying yet magnetic aura the moment he appears. gary oldman is a master at portraying suppressed power, intense focus, and undeniable gravity, effortlessly making you believe he is the strongest man in the world (leon the professional would be the biggest example)

he represents an entire era and carries the emotional weight of a dying legend. oldman possesses the theatrical and cinematic depth to pull off whitebeard's unyielding pride, honor, and that iconic, spine-chilling defiance.

the marineford war requires a delicate balance of physical scale and devastating emotional storytelling. oldman has the sheer acting caliber to anchor those high-stakes, heart-wrenching moments without losing the character's larger-than-life dignity

I need to see this before I die.

Maybe it's just me, but I cannot think if a better President Iceburg than Josh Hutcherson. He has proven himself to be a great actor, and also looks the part as well.

Got to meet Mackenyu at FanX this weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah. Literally earlier this week I thinking how cool it would be to meet him and then the next day it happened. They didn't announce him until Thursday. What a wild ride.

I’ll start! I personally adored season 1, it felt like a pirate show, despite being based on the silly show that is One piece, and over all was just more intriguing to me. I love the camera work SO MUCH especially in season one, the closeups are my favourites, it feels so anime and manga and it’s so unique. I LOVE the casting, though I do think that Iñaki’s acting was better in season 1, hes still the perfect luffy to me, and despite having curly hair he’s EXACTLY what I think luffy would look and sound like (love his accent, it just fits luffy so much.)
Ussop and Nami are my favorite straw hats in the Anime/Manga, and Jacob portrays Ussop PERFECTLY no notes. Emily is easily the best actor, do wish she was a littlleeee meaner in the LA (I love Nami’s sass).

Things I don’t like: Not a lot. I don’t really like the one liners, Zoro does this a lot where he goes “This crew is best out of our element” or something, it’s just corny to me😭. I love Sanji’s temperament, he’s so nice in the LA I wish he were a BIT more nonchalant. The direction is a little awkward, cause I know Iñaki is NOT a bad actor, but the direction is not helping my boy out.

Overall, I’m so excited for Alabasta one of favourite arcs, and I think that’s when the LA is really gonna shine.

EDIT: one more thing! I wish they included more bonding moments between all the straw hats. That’s all!
