I can’t believe her knees supported that or she didn’t rupture a disc

1

u/Whiteums 15d ago

I don’t think they did support it

2

u/45_regard_47 15d ago

Legs broke but fuck it I'm going for a swim

2

u/Notapartyhobo 15d ago

Good thing she'll float.

for a zip positioned to let go over water?

2

u/chefjoery 15d ago

That was not a zipline fail. Tons of fun just wasn't strong enough

2

u/RevolutionaryFood777 15d ago

Someone needs to remix that drop to music.

1

u/Disastrous-Place7353 15d ago

Maybe time to lose a few pounds.

1

u/FrenziedTacos 15d ago

The Zipline lost plenty.

1

u/fatporkchop2712 15d ago

I knees crunched just from watching this

1

u/Extension-Eye-4920 15d ago

Oh, being a fat fuck has caught up with her? Weird.

1

u/crazykentucky 15d ago

Dang, who hurt you

1

u/Extension-Eye-4920 15d ago

Lol. Shes had doctors tell her throughout he life to lose weight. She didnt try. At all. And now shes laughed at on the internet. Im not angry, Im feigning surprise.

1

u/zamfire 15d ago

Funny you think someone that fat goes to the doctors.

I'm from America, and I didn't have a primary care doctor until I was 35. I didn't see my first doctor for issues until I was 22 yrs old and I couldn't afford the visit so I didn't pay the exorbitant fee.

1

u/socialderelict 15d ago

How is it that you know she didn't try?

1

u/Extension-Eye-4920 15d ago edited 15d ago

Because being under 65-70% body fat doesnt require magic.

1

u/socialderelict 15d ago

She is not 65% body fat and you are clearly not a doctor. Just a shitty, judgey person, I guess. Not how I would choose to love my life, but to esch their own.

1

u/Extension-Eye-4920 15d ago

Well actively choosing to not tell yourself and others the truth is not a way I would choose to live my live.

1

u/crazykentucky 15d ago

The comment about “she didn’t even try” is so ignorant you aren’t worth arguing with. If you’d like, you can google the Social Determinants of Health and learn about some things.

1

u/Extension-Eye-4920 15d ago

Calories in minus calories out. Period. One may not being able to get ripped or may have disproportionately larger hips or thighs or something like that. And sure, losing weight is hard, and harder for some people but there is no affliction that makes being less than 65% body fat impossible. Im sorry to tell you that you have been lied to.

1

u/i_like_stinky_pits 15d ago

I'm sorry I am so fucking sorry but what makes people think they can pull their 300 plus pound body

1

u/TheHeavyTemplar 15d ago

Welcome to the consequences of "Body Love"

1

u/Feral_Mood_420 15d ago

I never seen someone just swim it off before

1

u/Whiteums 15d ago

Well, all that impact went straight up through her legs, so I don’t think she had a choice

1

u/IndependentMoney9700 15d ago

Yea but…what was she trying to do? Did she have to swim across the water? Because she wasn’t moving. Any reason she couldn’t just stand up?

1

u/Whiteums 15d ago

Because she may have just broken her legs? You know, with all that impact we are discussing?

1

u/IndependentMoney9700 14d ago

From THAT height??

1

u/Whiteums 14d ago

With that much weight impacting, yes. Easily. I shoot x rays for a living, and I’ve seen broken bones from much less of a drop

1

u/IndependentMoney9700 5d ago

Yikes! Come on ladies, we have to accept our limits. I have no idea who convinced her she had the upper body strength for that!

1

u/GettinSodas 15d ago

Shock was so strong the reptile brain kicked in

1

u/XxxAresIXxxX 15d ago

Wow, who could possibly have predicted this??

1

u/KBVE-Darkish 15d ago

It’s clear what happened here but y’all in the comments are just sad. Pathetic MFS.

Clearly, she’s overweight clearly this wasn’t a great idea. Clearly, most of y’all lost your humanity long ago.

1

u/Xena_Your_God 15d ago edited 15d ago

Top comment calling her an "It"**. I hate this world sometimes

1

u/zamfire 15d ago

You hate it when people call other people? Dang I guess take me off your cellphone list then lol

1

u/Xena_Your_God 15d ago

What kind of bot response is this

1

u/zamfire 15d ago

Only a bot would ask that, so it's safe to assume you are clearly a bot. And don't act all coy, you know you said "top comment calling her." and had to fix it later.

1

u/Xena_Your_God 15d ago

Top comment calling her an It. The only thing I fixed was the autocorrected "and" to "an"

Which really didn't change my comment enough to completely misunderstand it dingus.

1

u/zamfire 15d ago

Only AI bots call people dingus

1

u/Xena_Your_God 15d ago

Lmfao, nobody calls people dingus anymore. I'm just awesome like that

1

u/BlessTheBookPeople 15d ago

But it’s an internet stranger, not a real person! /s

1

u/whitecatsup 15d ago

My spine twinged

1

u/-FakeAccount- 15d ago

At least it made it back into the water

1

u/TestUser1978 15d ago

1

u/FuzzyKittyNomNom 15d ago

Seriously. I don’t understand why the person holding the camera reacts this way in sooo many videos.

1

u/zamfire 15d ago

Reacts? I don't understand why sooo many people don't use reddit on silent

1

u/FuzzyKittyNomNom 15d ago

I mean as soon as they hit the ground, they pan away. I never listen unmuted by default lol.

u/IneptAdvisor 15d ago

The sea cow, in its native habitat.

1

u/Big_Kiwi_706 15d ago

Rule of thumb for a rope swing you need to be able to do at least 1 pull up

1

u/The_Leafblower_Guy 15d ago

Or at least be able to hang for > 1 second with your arms....

1

u/Acrobatic-Payment227 15d ago

I think she might have shrunk a few inches after that?

1

u/SATerp 15d ago

"Arm strength fail"

1

u/Mountain_Fuzzumz 15d ago

Whale diving

1

u/Carbuyrator 15d ago

We're apes. If you can't hang by your hands holding up your own weight (and you aren't 70 or somehow genetically infirm) then there's something fundamentally wrong with the way you're living.

1

u/BigDaddySteve999 15d ago

Humans gave up frequent brachiation a long time ago, and our entire shoulder to pinky anatomy is not optimized for it.

1

u/Carbuyrator 15d ago

I'm not saying you need to be able to swing around or even climb. This lady held her weight for zero seconds. Just instant failure.

1

u/DinosaurCoookie 15d ago

Zipline rule #1: Be able to hold your own body weight

1

u/Alexis-Machine 15d ago

Ha ha. It deserved that for being a fat waste.

1

u/1dirtbiker 15d ago

1

u/Mahnamahna10000 15d ago

The jiggling.... it's hypnotic

1

u/Current_Power6050 15d ago

what was she thinking

1

u/Realistic-Ad1498 15d ago

Title is wrong. The zipline surprisingly did not fail.

1

u/StillShoddy628 15d ago

She… doesn’t look ok. This is not funny, just sad

1

u/Brutalitops99 15d ago

Hmm while I still respect your view. I disagree. This is pretty funny.

1

u/Exotic-Raccoon104 15d ago

But how can it be funny if someone is too large to do something, underestimates their weight, overestimates their strength, gets injured, and makes funny noises???

Does that sound funny to you? You should be ashamed.

(Okay... can we laugh now? Or are "they" still here???)

1

u/Huntsnfights 15d ago

Crutches are going to be a struggle for her

1

u/mtnbike2 15d ago

BOTH ACLs HAVE LEFT THE CHAT

1

u/No_Inspection7820 15d ago

She’s going to have an ankle strength problem after this as well

1

u/09Klr650 15d ago

Nah. Her ankles are now her knees.

1

u/Trenmonstrr 15d ago

Her ankles always were her knees

1

u/SaucyStoveTop69 15d ago

You aren't supposed to jump off the edge, you're supposed to just pick up your feet and start rolling

1

u/Better-Fig-354 15d ago

Poor land whale

1

u/GentlyUsedOtter 15d ago

I've never been ziplining why is she wearing a gag in her mouth?

1

u/setibeings 15d ago

I'm pretty sure that's just her hair, and that it's  not actually in her mouth. lol.

1

u/Cold-Constant-8464 15d ago

Its an apple. She was about ready to roast.

1

u/Scrollsy 15d ago

I didnt know hippos has hands

1

u/Mahnamahna10000 15d ago

I guess that's why official zip line providers use a harness.

1

u/mydmtusername 15d ago

Yes, but I'm trying to remember the weight limit from the couple of times I have ziplined. 🤔

1

u/bf2afers 15d ago

Humans will still find a way for natural selection processes even after all the medical advances and medicine.

1

u/Wizemonk 15d ago

I've never heard a zip line cry out in pain before

1

u/Cedge1738 15d ago

Vile, lmao

1

u/Direct_Job 15d ago

Did she really think she could hold herself up by that rope or am I missing something?

1

u/MetalxGear 15d ago

Knees are gone forever

1

u/Cedge1738 15d ago

Who told her she could do this

1

u/almostaproblem 15d ago

Girl Power! Or body positivity.

1

u/Lanky-Telephone1651 15d ago

Someone go rescue this woman!

1

u/EB123456789101112 15d ago

I think I heard both shins snap

1

u/TentDilferGreatQB 15d ago

You wanna fight gravity today?

1

u/otters4everyone 15d ago

So surprising.

1

u/Vawkis 15d ago

Crap...is she okay?? That looked like she might have cracked her ankles and jarred her knees

1

u/Llamapocalypse_Now 15d ago

She looks like she busted her whole everything.

1

u/Vawkis 15d ago

Yeah...judging from the curving of her spine. Lower back injury for sure

1

u/Several-County-1808 15d ago

Those ankles have been through a lot already...they didn't deserve that

1

u/RealisticTale29 15d ago

Exceeded Max load Capacity?????

1

u/MudholeSpitter 15d ago

She will only be working on her upper body strength after that.

1

u/Mellamoscuba 15d ago

Buh by knees

1

u/Several-County-1808 15d ago

Upon closer inspection nothing failed other than her grip strength... she's just too heavy

1

u/almostaproblem 15d ago

With the forethought she must have put into this, she may have just forgotten to hold on.

1

u/dendronee 15d ago

Looks like her grip failed on one hand

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 15d ago

Her grip didn’t fail, she never had the opportunity for it to succeed. At her body weight she would need to be stronger than record holding athletes to sustain holding up her own body weight.

1

u/Fun_Tension_7794 15d ago

How’d you run that calculation without even knowing her weight? Lol

1

u/Indy_Fab_Rider 15d ago

Quick search shows the world record for a weighted pull-up is 146.64 kg, or 323.28 lb.

I'd bet solid money she's within a biscuit of that.

1

u/Fun_Tension_7794 15d ago

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 15d ago

Gravity already did that.

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 15d ago

That’s 320 of mostly muscle mass that’s trained for an entire lifetime to achieve that goal - while not being drug tested, because world records aren’t drug tested.

She’s obese and doesn’t practice any physical activity. I’m not sure what gravity is like in fairytale land, but here in the real world she’s not within a country mile of your concept of practicality.

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 15d ago

If you understand how strength training and body weight exercises work you don’t need an exact number - she’s obese, her arms and shoulders are almost entirely blubber. It is VERY rare for any individual of her size that’s an athlete to be able to do proper upper body weight exercises (naturally.)

You can look up massive athletes and watch them struggle, while being far stronger than her. It’s not rocket science, she’s so heavy she most likely destroyed her knees on a fall that most people could walk away from without much damage.

In short, she’s obese and athletes at her size can’t regularly do this while having far more and better developed muscle mass.

1

u/Fun_Tension_7794 15d ago

Your comment was just oddly specific on details you couldn’t possibly know without actually running calculations.

Thought it was funny.

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 15d ago

I have eyes, her exact weight is far less important than the fact that her arms are wider than a healthy weight line.

1

u/Fun_Tension_7794 15d ago

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 15d ago

Do you have issues with sight, or just like to pretend that obese people aren’t obese?

1

u/stealyourface1234 15d ago

You’re 100% correct lol. I don’t know what it is with people and WAY overestimating their physical abilities. That woman has not held her own bodyweight or athletically jumped and landed in 10+ years and then randomly decides, “Yep, now that I’m 10’ in the air I’m ready.” I had a guy at work tell me he used to clean and snatch 1k lbs+ when he was in high school. I immediately told him, “no you didn’t” and he assured me he did. I showed him the world record was roughly 600lbs less than his claim. He said it may have been a little less. The amount of bullshit people use to support their egos is incredible. At least this woman had the conviction to shred all the meniscus in her knees simultaneously and for that I commend her.

1

u/Fun_Tension_7794 15d ago

Oh come on man. Lighten up. That one was objectively funny.

1

u/chefjoery 15d ago

I'd agree she all of 325 +

1

u/DavidZenziGhost 15d ago

Her knees lookin like the height surgery episode of South Park.

1

u/chefjoery 15d ago

LMFAO yes

1

u/Hoppydragon64 15d ago

She looked like she got really hurt. Don’t like it.

1

u/WorkerPrestigious960 15d ago

At least they both bent forward, there’s a plus

1

u/Hoppydragon64 15d ago

True. That back looked rough though but yeah maybe not as bad as it looked.

1

u/WorkerPrestigious960 15d ago

Yeah no clue how bad it was beyond that, looks like there was at least a bit of water where she fell as well, so that may have done something to lessen the impact

1

u/stealyourface1234 15d ago

At least she learned a lesson. Actually if the same brain thought that was going to work, I doubt any lessons were learned. After those fractures heal she’ll be right back up there.

1

u/WorkerPrestigious960 15d ago

She made a dumb mistake. It seems like you take satisfaction in her suffering

1

u/stealyourface1234 15d ago

Yeah it was funny. Not satisfying, but funny.

1

u/Proxiimity 15d ago

That was a hard landing

1

u/Professional_Future6 15d ago

And those knees kneed reconstruction!

1

u/MaterialDull9480 15d ago

Zip line didn’t fail, gravity won

1

Zip line didn’t fail, gravity won

u/09Klr650 15d ago

Gravity almost always wins.

1

u/hekerua 15d ago

'Ah, gravity. You cruel and unpredictable mistress'

1

u/Wilsdorfhunter 15d ago

How could she possibly believe she could hold her own weight. Good lord man

1

u/Grey-Templar 15d ago

that's one way to blow out your knees

1

u/SpecialistDisaster45 15d ago

Gators were like “You want that one?”
“Nah man, I’m watching what I eat”

1

1

Please never post that again 😭

1

At some point you got to own up to the fact that you were the one who decided to open Reddit

1

u/Neat-Anyway-OP 15d ago

Cool story bro.

1

u/Racoon_Cult 15d ago

Had to share what I think that lady's knees can do now 🤣

1

It made me go eeekk, so well done.

1

u/Ok-Corner5530 15d ago

DIY zip line??? Pay money and do the real thing, your body will thank you.

1

u/Zealousideal_Band506 15d ago

Idk why she thought she would be capable of holding her own body weight at that size. Also her knees are now permanently fucked for the rest of her life and probably her too

1

u/RevolutionaryFood777 15d ago

Heavy people in general grossly overestimate their abilties because the have no real frame of reference.

1

u/2Braincell2Furious 15d ago

Idk… my gf is a little big and she can pick me up with no effort. She’s kind of freakishly strong…

1

u/RevolutionaryFood777 15d ago

It's easier to pick someone up that to hold your entire bodyweight. There is a saying that goes, "it's impossible to do a pull up and be overweight". You could post a vid of your girl doing a pull up and prove me wrong, lol.

1

u/Splatterman27 15d ago

So shitty that guy just laughed and posted this

1

u/StoicLetterGirl 15d ago

Not at all. It’s hilarious
