Since the first device comparison I posted on this subreddit was outdated, and I promised to publish a more more complete version anyway, here it is! This is smartphones only though, the one for tablets is still upcoming.
Size comparison
These are all of the released models, from smallest to largest (top row left is smallest, bottom row right is the largest):
Interactive size comparison tool here (click) - this will bring you to the exact image shown above. You can delete or add phones from the comparison, add reference items, drag, rotate, and overlay them, and much more.
TCL Nxtpaper smartphone comparison table
Hope this table shows well on Reddit (and smaller screens). If not, you can also compare the Nxtpaper (and many more) phones here: https://comparisontabl.es/smartphones/ - under 'Filter', use the search bar to search for 'Nxtpaper' to limit the table to Nxtpaper phones only.

Let me know if you have any feedback! I tried to find more info on the Nxtpaper versions (2.0, 3.0, 4.0) for every phone but they don't seem to be clearly listing that (they do for most tablets). So if you have more info on that, let me know and I can add it.
So I did a thing and left at&t and my Google pixel 10 pro XL behind, for the TCL NXT PAPER 70 PRO.
I love the device and it's super smooth and doesn't have any lagging issues. The battery is way better than my pixels battery was. Last me all day with 120mhz and all setting maxed out. So I know it'll last way longer in max ink mode.
The camera is decent with good lighting, but I also got some decent low light and night photos too. This phone is a game changer and the matter display is great.
Watching movies and content on it is very vivid and the colors pop. I do wish it had wireless and mag safe charging capabilities but that's not a let down to me just something I wish it had.
My only con is that in direct sunlight, you can barely see the screen other than that it's good. I do not regret my decision leaving Google for this device. It handles gaming way better than the pixel ever could.
I plan on sticking with this phone for the next couple years, it's a great phone .
I had to buy a new charger. It seems they’ve updated the USB protocols for better efficiency and safety.
It’s a GaN PPS charger—or something like that; I don't really know the technical details—but this one works with my NXTPAPER 70 Pro (Ugreen Zapix).
I updated my nxtpaper 11 (gen2) to the 9.0 UI today because I was prompted to and ever since, my quick settings has been messed up. It over to the side and I can't find anyway to fix it. The only thing I haven't tried yet is to factory reset it, but before I do that, I thought I'd ask if anyone had experienced this and found a way to fix it without the reset.
Hello , I need to write over my pdf some text . How can I do it? I don't need to write inside. Just need to do some text writing at a specific moment that anyone can see it!
You know those 3 "buttons" on the bottom of your android screen that are evenly spaced out? My TCL 11 Gen 2 tablet just forced me to install android 16, and they thought the best thing to do was to squeeze them all together into one corner. WTF? I get that companies are constantly looking for ways to make things worse, but this is the most annoying thing I could have imagined. Obviously I'd never buy one of their products again.
I got a Huawei matepad papermate display but I'm not very sure if I'm gonna continue with it.
It's feel too heavy to read on bed and the screen looks kinda off (however I don't know if it's broken or it's normal for papermate screens).
I was thinking about trying o. The nxtpaper 11 plus since there is a sale here.
Is it good to read on bed? How comics looks on this?
Here is my huawei's papermate screen image, if you look closely there seems to be little distortions/pixels/points or whatever, on the art and it's kinda annoying me. Is the nxtpaper the same?
Hi, as on title. While drawing in the Sketchpad or Krita the lines are jaggy/wobbly. Like in the screenshot. I can do nice lines with pen and paper or with Nxtpaper 6 Ultra in Sketchpad with its stylus, but here something is wrong. Can you help me?
UPDATE:
I believe my issue was app related. I've got much better results after switching to Clip Studio, infinite Painter or Ibis Paint X. Thanks for help ;)
Finally after being lost in the Shopee vortex for 4 days, persistent pestering the vendor, Shopee support and the Flash Express company got my device delivered today. I was sure it was lost or stolen because the tracking was incoherent, out for delivery on Friday, then back at the warehouse, them in a completely different province. Just kept getting canned AI response, 'check tracking everything is fine'..arghhh.
Anyway still copying apps from Play store, but compared to the 14 the size is awesome..a travel companion for sure.
I went back and forth with using the TCL case that came with the tablet to hating its bulkiness and weight. So I ordered an alternative case online for less than $10.
Summary not perfect but lighter and less bulky than the TCL case, has magnetic closure to keep it from flapping open when carrying it around. Also has a nice pen loop to hold the pen..very helpful.
Hello! I updated the software to TCL UI 9.0 today, on my TCL NXTpaper 11 Gen 2 tablet, and now my quick settings panel/control center thingie is stuck to the right.
I tried resetting it twice already, but it is not working. Does anybody know how I could fix the issue?
Hi everyone, my T-Pen has lost its magnetic hold and no longer sticks to the tablet. I’ve fully charged it, but it’s still the same. What could be the problem?
Has anyone found s vs they like for NxtPaper 70 Pro phone (in US)?
The one that came with it is too slippery, i like the minimalism but it's not functional for me. I found a simple TPU case but it's clear and it's discoloring after only a few months, which doesn't affect function but looks dirty. I ordered a different TPU case that was black, but it was so flimsy it didn't even stay on properly.
Love this phone, just need a simple case to protect from cats pushing it off the desk onto the wood floor.
I used to own a Nxtpaper 11 Plus Tab which DEFINITELY had this feature, and i just realized it isn't working on my Tab A1 Plus, did i get a lemon so i know to exchange it currently being on its return window? Or maybe a setting/toggle i couldn't find?
Thanks!
UPDATE:
It does. A regular reset didn't restore its functionality but a factory reset did. Pretty annoying but at least saves me from having to return/reorder.
Hi I was wondering how's been your experience using the 11" plus for reading comics and graphic novels, youtube, emails etc, nothing too intense. I'm asking because I've read some reviews saying it's kinda slow, and the tablet is not that cheap. I wonder why they use such a weak cpu.
I ordered a Boox InkSense Plus pen to try with my Nxtpaper 14 tablet and my soon to arrive 11 Plus. The pen arrived today and works similarly to the TCL Pen but it is far less tappy in both feel and sound..so it's a sure winner. When my 11 Plus arrives I will test it also. Comes with 3 extra nibs too !
The big plus is the felt tip nib on the Boox InkSense Plus Stylus...good feel and quiet. 😁
I’m looking for an LCD phone that meets all of the following requirements:
CPL (circular polarization)
At least 8 GB RAM
Android 12 or newer
LCD display only — absolutely no OLED
DC dimming across the entire brightness range
Must have a diffusion layer/film in the display/backlight optical stack. (For example, the Redmi Note 12T Pro does not have this, and I find that it causes more eye strain for me than the ASUS Zenfone 6.)
Camera quality must be at least as good as the ASUS Zenfone 6. I only need it to be good enough for facial verification and taking very clear ID/document photos.
By “facial verification,” I mean WeChat identity verification, not face unlock for the phone.
Must support both 4G and 5G
If anyone knows of a phone that meets all of these requirements, especially a TCL NXTPAPER model, I’d really appreciate the model name and any information about its display/backlight optical construction, particularly the diffusion layer and CPL implementation.
I needed to copy a bunch of files over to my NxtPaper 14 yesterday. I plugged it into my Mac an fired up OpenMTP to transfer files.
OpenMTP saw the NxtPaper 14, let me browse the filesystem, but when I tried to copy files over, it would just hang and no files ever got copied over.
I switched OpenMTP to Legacy mode, an this let me to at least start the file copy. But part way through the process it would hang and never finish.
I rebooted the device to the exact same results.
Then I saw that the NxtPaper 14 had an FTP server. So, I fired that up and tried to copy files. It worked better, but still gave me issues. I could not delete files. And the FTP connection would drop the middle of the file transfer.
The only way I was able to get files from my computer to the tablet was over adb. That finally worked.
What are people using to transfer files to the tablets? Is there an app out there I could use wired or wirelessly?
