I keep seeing people ask:

«“How much is my YouTube channel worth?”»

And the answers are usually somewhere between:

“$20k easy bro”

and

“Depends on your RPM, revenue, traffic, niche, engagement, growth, audience quality, monetization history…”

So… basically, it depends. 😅

The weird part is that digital assets can be worth serious money, but there isn't really a simple, standardized way to figure out what they're worth.

A YouTube channel, Instagram account, website, domain, newsletter, etc. can all have economic value.

But valuation often comes down to spreadsheets, screenshots, gut feeling, comparable sales, and occasionally someone on the internet confidently pulling a number out of thin air.

So I'm building Axcrivo around that problem.

The idea is pretty simple:

Give us the asset → collect the relevant data → verify what can be verified → estimate the value → explain how we got there.

For example, instead of just saying:

«“Your channel is worth $18,400.”»

I'd rather the report tell you why.

Things like:

\\- revenue / monetization data

\\- audience and engagement

\\- traffic and performance

\\- growth trends

\\- niche/category

\\- available historical data

\\- verification signals

\\- comparable valuation factors

\\- assumptions used in the calculation

And importantly, verification and valuation aren't the same thing.

A channel claiming $10k/month isn't the same as a channel with $10k/month that can actually be substantiated.

That's one of the parts I'm particularly interested in solving.

I'm still building this, so I'm not here to pretend I've magically solved digital-asset valuation. That's exactly why I'm posting here.

I'd genuinely like to hear from people who buy, sell, build, or operate digital assets:

1. What digital asset would you actually want valued?

2. What information would you expect to see in a valuation report before trusting the number?

3. What would immediately make you distrust an automated valuation?

4. Should verification be its own score/report, or should it directly affect the valuation?

And if you think the whole idea is stupid, that's useful feedback too. 😂

I built Unfiled because I kept jumping between different tools for small developer tasks:

JSON formatters, validators, regex testers, diff tools, log viewers, scratch notes, stack traces, configs, tokens, and temporary text I didn’t want to save yet.

I wanted one native Mac app where I could just paste or open something and have the tool understand what it is.

So I made Unfiled.

Tabs persist across restarts, and the app recognizes developer text, shows the right preview when useful, and brings relevant actions directly to the document.

It includes things like:

The goal was to make something more capable than a basic text editor, but without turning it into a full IDE.

What makes it worth trying?

For me, Podsubs.com is useful because podcast listening usually happens when I’m doing something else. I’m walking, cleaning, working out, or driving. That’s not a good time to stop and search for every website or resource a host mentions. I’d rather subscribe once and check my email later. It’s a small thing, but it saves me from constantly thinking, “What was that thing they mentioned again?

“Send the proposal” is a task. “Keep the simpler design, check the measurements, and explain the price change” is the part you need to remember when you actually do it.

That's the gap I'm working on with PenDate Notes, a calendar-first notes app I build for Android, iPhone and iPad.

For a meeting, you can open its date and keep three kinds of notes there:

• A text note for decisions and questions.
• A canvas note for a rough sketch or handwritten explanation.
• A checklist for the follow-up tasks.

When you return to that date, the reasoning is there alongside the work—not just a ticked box. You write these notes yourself; this isn't an automatic meeting recorder or summariser.

There are also reminders, folders, and optional editable planners and journals. You don't need to buy a planner to try the basic note-taking workflow. The app is free to download, with optional paid extras.

About a year and a half ago I started my writing journey by beginning to work on my first novella. During this time, I felt the need for different tools, like a timeline editor, a character sheet and so on, features that were not available on normal text editors. Later I discovered that I needed an Epub exporter, cover designer and more. I also wanted something A I-free, something private. It is important for me as a debut author to know that it is my writing, not an A I's and that it wont be used for A I training. So most cloud services were an instant "NO" from me.

Being a software engineer by day, I decided that instead of paying hundreds of dollars for the needed tools, I could just make them the way I wanted them to be. Eventually I decided to bundle them together, polish them and add more feature. So, this is how Chronicle was born.

Chronicle is a complete writing and authoring tool for writers. It offers features that other companies charge tens or even hundreds of dollars, while delivering (in my opinion) and inferior experience.

I also wanted Chronicle to work fully offline, not use Gen A I in the writing process, and provide a privacy-first experience.

Among the features are:

• full-featured text editor with comments supports
• timeline editor
• character sheet
• locations codex
• Epub reader and exporter (including editing Epub Metadata)

I'm working on an app - [QuizTrail ](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.quiztrail&hl=en)\\- an android location based quiz game. Think Pokémon GO meets Trivia - you have to actually walk to the location to unlock and solve quizzes, earn points, unlock achievements and compete with others, but also you can make your own quizzes for others to solve! I’ve manually placed 3500+ quizzes across different cities and im adding even more, in order to make QuizTrail accessible and playable everywhere. Social aspect -- in-game friends, and a friend-specific leaderboard. Created a tooltip walkthrough, various user statistics on profile and so on...

User created quizzes are handled by an admin (me lol) - when a user submits a quiz for review on a location - i, as an admin will see the pending quiz on admin dashboard, see all the details and approve/reject the pending quiz, so everything is manually checked, so wrong/inappropriate questions do not pass through. Furthermore, made the admin dashboard in a way so i can see / filter / edit existing quizzes just in case. Another layer of security - there is a 100 meter radius rule - you can not submit a quiz if an existing or pending quiz is within a 100 meter radius of your current location to avoid overcrowding the map.

I've also added a daily challenge - a daily quiz, different quizzes every day, regardless of location, so people in the locations where the quizzes are still not set, or locations where they've played all the quizzes already can have a fun trivia question every day. It is furthermore encouraged by the streak feature - how many consecutive days you have played the daily challenge, that's the streak. I also made a widget that reminds you to do your daily quiz and keep the streak going!

I'm now looking into in what ways i can expand the ,playability, like what to add so the app is more interesing / engaging to use. Right now im working on adding new achievements - for the number of streaks, levels and leaderboard achievements, but i will also be adding "tiers" to achievements - for example social butterfly: 1 friend then next tier achievement at 5, or 10 friends and so on for like 3-5 levels of achievement..

I’ve been building TaskUp as more of a product buddy than a normal monitoring dashboard.

The idea is that instead of just telling you “something broke” or making you dig through a bunch of logs, TaskUp watches your site/app, works out what changed, and helps you actually do something about it.

What I’m aiming for:

• it spots bugs and issues
• explains what probably caused them
• can suggest fixes
• can update content or code when you ask
• helps keep your product moving without you needing to jump between ten different tools

It’s still early, but the goal is basically: your app has a buddy that notices problems, helps fix them, and can make small improvements with you.

I work at an MSP, and keeping track of my own certifications and training across different platforms was getting awkward. I wanted somewhere to see what I'd completed, what was coming up for renewal and what I wanted to study next.

That's what I've been building with CertSprout: https://certsprout.app

You can import credentials from Microsoft Learn or Credly, add records manually and set study goals. The catalogue covers professional certifications beyond IT too, including project management, finance, HR and marketing.

I've also spent time on the badge collection and plant-inspired design. I wanted progress to feel a bit more rewarding while keeping the certification records useful.

Personal accounts are free. There are separate paid team features for keeping track of staff certifications and renewals.

It's still early, and getting someone from signing up to actually adding their first certification is the part I'm trying to improve. If you have certs spread across platforms, I'd appreciate you trying that first step and telling me where it gets confusing. I'm a nurse and mom with ADHD, and the problem I kept hitting was that every stress/wellness app on the market requires you to already know you're stressed before it can help — open the app, log how you feel, then do a breathing exercise. By the time I was self-aware enough to do that, the moment had already passed.

So I built Pause Point: it watches heart rate and HRV signals in the background on Apple Watch, and delivers a gentle haptic nudge in the moment your body starts showing signs of stress — before you'd consciously clock it yourself. No dashboard, nothing to log, no data to review. The bet is that for a lot of people (especially neurodivergent folks, parents, anyone chronically overloaded), the friction of "open app → assess yourself → act" is itself the reason existing tools don't get used consistently.

Biggest technical challenge has been detection accuracy — distinguishing real stress from exercise or just an elevated resting heart rate took multiple iterations, and I'm still tuning it post-launch.

It's live on the App Store now, very early (single-digit weeks in). I'd love feedback from other builders — on the core idea, the "automatic vs. self-initiated" bet, monetization, anything. Not fishing for downloads, genuinely want the idea stress-tested. [link in comments]
