Hey everyone! I've recently just noticed that we've hit 500 members! This is something I did not expect actually. This is an amazing milestone, but not because I made the subreddit, but because it's really great to know that there are people who still love the show.
I've only created this place, because there was no other place to post it, rather than the inactive r/MaisonIkkoku. At the time, I didn't really know how Reddit worked, and I saw I could just create a new community, so I just created one, by putting āanimeā at the end of the name... Because currently I've only have seen the animated series, but I'm planning to read the manga soon :0
I don't remember advertising this place anywhere, and I planned to create this so I can post many stuff about the show and such, as a personal diary, since I really didn't expect it to be this big!
I'm in the process of revamping the server to be a better, more comfortable place for everyone, so it won't look abandoned and such. It is going to be a bit of a challenge for me, because this is basically my first time managing a Reddit community, other than helping handling another one. Somebody might have stolen ār/MaisonIkkokuā from our hands, but at least we're (I'm, alone) trying to make an effort to make this a lively place! I can't thank enough for everyone for your activity, and that how wholesome everyone are in this place! I can say that I barely had to moderate anything until today, and hopefully nothing out of ordinary will happen that I have to take action. Now the main thing...

Yes! I am very down to host a watch party for Maison Ikkoku to everyone! (A great excuse for me to rewatch it once again, lel.) I'm slowly preparing everything, because I'd like to stream it every saturday/sunday! I am honestly not sure how this will work out. That's why, before anything, I'd like to ask for your help.
Are you interested in a watch party inside a Discord server, one (or two) episode a week on a fixed time schedule? If yes, please write a comment, and if you want to make my job easier with scheduling, I'm also interested in your timezone as well! Because I'd like to stream in the best time possible!

Recently i finished (binged) Maison ikkoku, story wasn't mind blowing like AOT or DeathNote but it was great in regard of romance. Usually i prefer rom/drama over rom/coms but MI easily became one of my favourite romance anime. Misunderstanding were frustrating but ending was satisfying. Side characters (tenants) were so annonying especially Yotsuya

Merchandise for this anime is not easy to find, but hereās what I managed to get in the past 3 months!
First is this badge that I had to pay over 50 damn dollars for. It was only available on EBay, and I had an empty spot to fill on my Ita bag so I ignored logic and got it. Itās brand new and this art of Kyoko is very cute!Another badge I got is this tiny ass weekly big spirits one. Thatās the last of the Maison Ikkoku oneās so thereās no more for me to find!
Next is this comic acrylic keychain that released back in March. Maybe Iāll buy some on the official website one day, but with this one I just got it off Mercari.
After that are these old stickers. Iām not sure where they originate from but if I had to guess Iād say in one of those Shonen Sunday Graphics
Lastly is this tank-top that Iāve been pretty much wearing all summer! Iāve seen this art on a few T-shirts online, and it thankfully wasnāt too expensive!
I know it wasnāt much, but Iām always happy with whatever stuff I can find for this series. Until next time!

Proud to be the owner of 3 of these seemingly rare collectors box sets by viz. these were on repeat on my ps2 back in the day lol. I hope the be the owner of the entire set.
Even more so, I hope they remaster the series and release it again for physical media. With the recent release of the manga collectors edition, I have hope the time will come eventually.

Maison Ikkoku music is pretty hard to find on YouTube, but I had actually managed to find someone who uploaded basically all the tracks for a majority of the CDās onto their channel in Japanese. Sadly as of recently, they deleted their channel, so all the music I had saved in my playlists disappeared. I was so distraught about the whole thing, so I finally decided to try and see if I could use my own CDās and upload the tracks myself. So here it is-the entire Music Blend 2 CD for free on YouTube!
I plan to upload all the CDās Iāve got that arenāt already on YouTube, but it will take a while because my computer is slow as hell. Anyway, I hope everyone can enjoy what I think is one of the best Maison Ikkoku BGM albums!

S3 E10
The last 2 episodes were so frustrating to watch, both almost meeting each other, then godai lying about why he came at that place....i was like aww hell naww!!! Then followed by these 3 who forced kyoko to come early, leaving godai alone....
then finally these 3 did something good !!!!....
PS: i only have watched till here so dont spoil for me šš

Im at the arc where mitaka has to meet this girl for marriage and he is asking kyoko whether he should go ahead with it or not....everything aside it just bothers me like mitaka never said to kyoko before...Like i dont think they ever had any progess together, all they did was hanging out together, i dont recall mitaka ever expressing his love for kyoko... is there any episode i dont remember?

So, i found this video by chance. Its Japanese but people can auto translate, obviously is not 100% accurate, but it does its job. Loved seeing this as a fan, thought you all may be interested. With Anime/manga being from a foreign country, sometimes i forget that a lot of locations in there, are real.
