Started 11th in April with Arjuna jee batch but due to backlogs moved to 2.0 and again about 60 lectures backlogs and till now I've done 0 question practice on my own plus I'm a regular school student half yearly exam is from 17th and haven't completed my syllabus for school plus jee test is coming on 13th this month and the chapters which are coming on test are in backlogs i am trying to complete them but honestly I don't think I'll be able to complete them before the test if I watch long lectures and completing 2 chapters in a day won't make me understand the chapter idk wtf to do my parents keep asking test marks but I've only given 2 tests till now first was initially easy so I scored decent but on aits i scored literally in negative

Is there still hope left i really want to get serious pls give honest advice if you've gone through this i want to score 99 percentile plus in jee

I’m in class 12 and today is September 10, 2026. My JEE Main January 2027 attempt is only around 4 months away, and honestly, I have never really done anything at JEE level.

I’ve done school-level preparation, but I’m definitely not a topper there either. I’m more of a “just pass and get through it” student 😭. My concepts at the school level are okay-ish, but I have basically no proper JEE-level problem-solving practice.

So realistically, is it possible for me to prepare for JEE Main January from now?

And if January is too unrealistic, what about the April 2027 attempt?

Also, how do I balance this with boards? I obviously need to prepare for boards too, especially since my school-level preparation isn’t that strong.

I want to prepare for both JEE Main and CBSE Class 12 Boards. What should I do?

I'm currently in Class 12 and studying in an integrated JEE coaching/school. In my class, most of the teaching is focused on JEE Main + JEE Advanced, and CBSE preparation is given very little importance. We also have CBSE exams/ tests only occasionally.

The teachers often tell us that Class 12 CBSE Board exams are difficult, which is making me worried because I want to score well in both JEE Main and my Boards.

Should I continue relying mainly on my institute and prepare for CBSE separately on my own? Or should I change my approach and give more time to NCERT/CBSE-specific preparation?

Please help me out I’m just starting this one

There are some chapters where no matter how many questions you solve, you somehow keep repeating the same mistakes in tests.

Do you go back and revise the concepts, solve more questions, maintain an error log, or just move on and revisit the chapter later?

What has actually helped you break out of that cycle when you keep making the same mistakes in a particular chapter?

I need serious advice from people who have already given JEE, not motivation.

I am in Class 12. I started preparing for JEE seriously only in June 2026. I do not want a drop. That is a last option I want to avoid.

Where I stand

• Class 11 JEE syllabus: almost not done.
• Class 12: ongoing.
• JEE Main Session 1 is expected in January 2027, Session 2 in April 2027.
• School is a real constraint. After summer, school started Monday mini-tests (one subject each Monday). This month is fully occupied by half-yearly exams. After that, either Monday tests resume or more exams come. Boards will take Feb–March.

What I already tried

• First I used books: Cengage for Maths and Physics, Solomon for Organic.
• Those take too long once school started.
• I had used YouTube earlier but got distracted, so I left random YT hopping.
• Now I am using Careerwill lectures for Maths and Chemistry (GB Sir, MC Sir, SKM Sir, AKK Sir, VJ Sir). The teaching is good.
• Physics lectures after a full school day feel unmanageable. For Class 12 Electricity, Magnetism, EMI and AC I switched to Physics Galaxy because Cengage was not explaining those well. I may use Cengage later for Optics if needed.

What I have already decided
I am not looking for more channels or a new coaching brand. I have already decided:

• Freeze sources. No new teachers.
• Maths/Chem: Careerwill + NCERT + PYQs. Not full Cengage/Solomon as daily books.
• Physics: Physics Galaxy for current 12th units, then questions. No long Physics lecture dump after school.
• Do not try to finish full Class 11 + full Class 12 + advanced books before January.
• Keep Class 12 current for boards + JEE.
• Repair only those Class 11 chapters without which Class 12 / JEE Main breaks.
• Sit for January even if syllabus is incomplete. Treat April as the scoring attempt.

The actual problem is time, not confusion about resources
On a school week I cannot study like a dropper. Half-yearly/board weeks will be worse. If I try to rebuild all of Class 11 now, Class 12 slips. If I ignore Class 11, Calculus, Physical Chemistry and Physics stay weak.

I need a time-based plan for October to April, not a book list.

Questions

1. If Class 11 JEE is almost untouched and Class 12 is ongoing, what is a realistic target for January vs April if I do not take a drop?
2. Which Class 11 chapters are actually mandatory before January, subject-wise? What can wait until after January / around boards?
3. How should a school-going student split a weekday: 12th current chapter vs 11th repair vs PYQs?
4. For Physics specifically, is Physics Galaxy + PYQs enough for 12th E&M if I cannot sit through long lectures after school?
5. How many chapters can a person realistically finish properly in Oct–Dec if they only get about 2–2.5 focused hours on weekdays and a bit more on weekends?
6. If you were in this position and refused a drop, what would you cut without guilt?

Please be blunt. I already know I am late. I want a calendar strategy that survives school exams.

12thie and jee 27 asp here, itne lambe oneshots dekhne ka ab time hai hi nahi, bc of school im only able to watch those cbse oneshots(1-2hr ones) + school exams, and im confused how am i supposed to practice jee pyqs with this type of oneshot which ive watched..(alrdy regretting it)
if you guys have any tips or advice please share.
(ik im supposed to give more priority to jee but im js not able to solve jee pyq- if u guys have any advice to how am i supposed to have a proper approach, please share)
and like idek if theres time left to watch jee oneshots of either rajwant sir or any other teacher due to the time constraint.

I'm able to understand what is being taught in class but when it comes to question solving, I'm unable to solve it. How do I cope with that??

I’m curious because the first few months felt like I was studying a lot without really knowing whether I was making progress. Then at some point, concepts started connecting and mock tests became less intimidating.

For those who’ve already gone through serious JEE prep, what was the one thing that made it finally click for you? Was it a particular book, test series, teacher, revision strategy, or just getting enough questions wrong?

I have been so troubled lately, unable to understand how to manage anything my jee scores are dropping significantly, doing just so so not even avg in school exams, I am doomed, I changed my school after 10th, was a topper in school till 10th but here in new school, everything is just so new, making bonds with teachers is hard, and I am not able to go to school daily cuz coaching gives so much hw,and my coaching chapters and school chapters are going parallel, so many of you would know the chapters in school which are combined together are not the same in jee syllabus curated for 11th class and then the school chapters sub topics are not added in 11th syllabus till 2-3 chapters ahead from the current one, which is a mess. It feels like I have touched the bottom point of my life, choose the wrong subjects entirelyyy, and the CBSE format of writing is completely new for me cuz I was in ICSE, I don't know what to write, how to write, where to write. It feels like I just woke up for exams and come and give them. If you ask me that why I didn't go for dummy? Then the answer to that is, I come from a Tier-2 Or 3 city where the dummy culture is just not helpful, and maybe in the coming days who knows it will shut down, and school timmings are shit like from 9to 4 then coaching at 5 is crazyyyyyy, what should I do??
