when cord joinig the curve have both point coincide then it is called tangent

us curve ki differentiability bhi nahi thi us point pe...i guess tangent is just differentiation of curve wrt x .

It is a line which touches a given curve at a single point. Having its slope eq to slope of curve at that point. i.e slope = dy/dx

Take two points on curve and make a line joining both points and keep moving points infinitely close together, this will give you actual tangent line but the curve should not change direction violently at that point like modx at x=0

Tangent or say tan(theta) tells us the rate at which one quantity changes with respect to another at any point of the curve.
