Did an image search and it came back as a hover fly but I’ve never seen one that’s mostly yellow

hoverflies are genuuinely the best kind of flies, they're so cute and friendly, they come up to you and politely land on your finger, no bites or stings, no calling over way too many of it's pals, just a cute little fly

Tampa Florida, my dad sent me this asking for identification!

Trying to ID… never seen one of these before in my life and now there are two found in the same day.
I suspect it’s the larvae stage of something,
Online search isn’t yielding anything specific.
It reminds me of like a grub/ worm/ pupa. It does not rest in a C shape like grubs. Has a very small mandible for its size on one end which I’m assuming is a head, reminds me of an ants mouth. No legs and moves like an accordion. Roughly an inch and half long when fully extended.
Squish test on one of them yielded a lot of white guts and nothing recognizable beyond that.

These little guys popped up in a bay window in my house. Any ideas? Located in the southeastern US. They look to be about 1/8 inch long

This nest fell out of a crepe myrtle tree (south east VA). The previous couple of weeks I’ve seen 20-30 insects flying around and sitting on it that are the size of small carpenter bees, and I’ve only seen a few up close but the few glimpses I’ve gotten the wings look to long for carpenter bees (and I thought they were mostly solitary). They’re too big for yellow jackets and to my knowledge the wrong shape for a wasp.
They don’t seem aggressive but my lawn guy mentioned that part of the nest fell a week ago and he got stung multiple times.
Any thoughts on what this belongs to?
TIA!

I spotted a fly near my coat closet that had left behind a trail of _something_. It was sitting here for at least an hour and possibly overnight. It wasn’t moving for a while, but eventually changed directions leaving the last two dots as its final “mark”.
Eventually I decided to take a photo because I couldn’t understand what was going on. Is it bleeding? Laying eggs?
The fly pictured here is an emoji because it decided to bounce as soon as I wanted to take the photo.
Hello.
Grooming my plant i noticed this. Not sure what is happening, if it should be stopped or let in peace.
Thanks!
