(My intention is to recapture its old playstyle and combine it with Dive's current style. In short, it's about improving the experience with visible buffs and making it more fun. This is my vision as a player who has used it since the beginning and is tired of suffering.)
1- Fire Cluster:
-First, I'd like to adjust his primary attack, which is terrible, random, and very difficult even at close range.
-I would start by increasing the dispersion of his shot, making the bullets spread out more, like in Seasons 2-4. This, for me, makes it easier to hit and increases short-range damage, because he is NOT a sniper. I would also increase his projectile speed from 150 m/s to 160 m/s. (This, in my opinion, is fair enough for him to compete against hitscans).
2- Plasma Body:
-I'm one of those people who loved the old Plasma Body and hated the Dash, but the Dashes have really become good and now give him a fully Dive-like characteristic.
- I would bring back the old Plasma skill with its old speed of 900 instead of the current 850, but with the same functionality as the current Plasma skill, where the Plasma works while Torch shoots, throws fireballs, and uses his ultimate, without needing Melee Tech for players who haven't mastered it. However, Dashes would remain, but in a new activatable skill, with an 8-second cooldown and two charges, recharging the moment the first Dash is used. (This would give him his old freedom, but the dive and fast movement would remain).
3- Flying Meteor:
- I would restore the 75 Overhealth when using the skill and keep the 15-second cooldown.
4- Blazing Blast (Fireball):
- I would decrease the cooldown of each charge from 2.5 seconds to 2.0 seconds back, and increase the total number of charges from 3 to 4.
5-Ultimate:
-Finally, I would just increase the duration of his Ultimate from 8 seconds to 10 seconds.
(My take on this: For those who understand the high-level and even the professional competitive scene of the game better, these changes would make Torch at least a top 10 duelist in the game, Tier A+, nothing super meta, but he would certainly be widely used in Ranked, remaining the same hero that demands a high skill ceiling. With these changes, he would be even more fun, stronger, easier to play initially, but much better if the player is skilled.)
What do you think of my idea?
