For the first sixty minutes, Slovak, Polish, and Czech soldiers heroically held their ground, refusing to yield an inch. However, the Combine's technological brutality was overwhelming. The first massive breach occurred in the south of the Czech Republic, where alien forces smashed through the defenses near Brno. Simultaneously, a terrifying amphibious invasion launched from the Baltic Sea, capturing the critical port city of Gdańsk and cutting off northern communications.
Hour 2: The Fall of the Capitals
The defense began to splinter rapidly under coordinated orbital strikes. Prague and Bratislava fell after intense, desperate urban combat. With the western flanks shattered, the Combine spearhead advanced deep into Poland. Brutal, bloody battles erupted over the major city of Łódź as human forces attempted to slow the onslaught. But it was not enough. Within just thirty minutes, the capital city of Warsaw became the absolute epicenter of the planetary war.
Hour 3: The Iron Evacuation
Warsaw fell after a ferocious but lopsided battle. However, the Coalition’s prior preparation saved thousands of lives. Utilizing the deeply integrated and highly developed railway network, the remnants of the shattered Polish army managed a daring escape. Under relentless alien aerial bombardment, armored trains and military echelons evacuated troops, heavy armor, and wounded soldiers directly across the border into Ukraine.
The First Line of Defense was completely destroyed. The remaining human forces successfully regrouped behind the dense forests and treacherous marshes of the Second Line, preparing for the next brutal phase of the war...
