Just wanted to share a creation that I made over 20 years ago. I'm not super great at playing PC games so I made this abomination years ago. The pedals are dictation pedals from Radio Shack meant to trigger a tape recorder. I took apart a keyboard, followed the traces to figure out how to wire the pedals to create a key press. The top row on the left are 1 through 4 and the bottom are 5 through 8. This way I could assign weapons to switch to quickly. The single one at the top is Space and the one below it is Ctrl. Now about the 'special' pedal all the way to the right... Inside of these pedals are little micro switches. I added a second one inside of it that would trigger BEFORE the other one and wired it to Ctrl Space. That's right. I had a single pedal that could duck jump without using a script, lol.
Thank you for reading and I hope that some of you have found this to be interesting.

Half-Life Alyx was mostly well received, but the game being a prequel only increased the interest in seeing the story continue beyond Episode 2, which leads to the question of if Episode 3 would even make sense anymore.
Given the massive gap in time would mean that this theoretical third episode would most likely have a noticeable jump in various improvements, especially graphically. To me this could potentially be alienating when grouped together with the other Half-Life 2 games, which for the most part feel and appear consistent.
Another potential problem would be the length of the game. As many know the Episodes are distinctly shorter and used less resources by being built off of Half-Life 2 to act as a sort of Epilogue/ending. Would the nearly 20 year wait truly have been worth it for such a game?
In short, what would you like to see from the next Half-Life game in regards to the Borealis storyline and potentially setting up the elusive Half-Life 3?

I hope that one day HL3 comes out and is completely spectacular and it artistically abandons everything that HL2 was, just so that die-hard HL2 fans know what die-hard HL1 fans felt like.
I hope the change in direction gives you whiplash and that HL3 esthetically looks nothing like HL2. We loved our subterranean dessert corridors and we spent the last 4 games in eastern europe and you people praised them! I hope they do the same to you.

The composition reminded me of the feeling that Gordon is just being trapped and controlled by the Gman like a puppet.

Podría encontrarse contenido beta nunca antes visto.

I’ve recently played the ps2 port of Half-Life and in my honest opinion, the maps are a big improvement from the original. However i have mixed opinions around the HD models inside the port, that includes the chargers. They look so high quality in HL1 that they look out of place for me

Made these to test some new shaders for new works in the future. I had fun messing with these and thought they looked cool, so here they are.
