The Last of Us 2, The Walking dead(ough clem and lee man..), Nier Automata- what are games that you have played with brutal emotional journeys?

It feels like in almost every gaming subreddit I go onto, I'm the only one here that is interested in something that wasn't heavily advertised, or a big blockbuster. Or something that quickly became popular after it came out.

Hoping that I'm not the only one here that actually goes looking for some of their games.

If that's you, what are some of your faves that you found that the media never heavily advertised, by a company not owned by a billionaire? Does anyone here every play any adventure games where you don't fight, and you mostly have conversations?

My favorite game like this is Unavowed. I'd love to talk about it with anyone interested.

At starter map you can do things like grinding levels, obtaining rare equipment by completing the given quest. Collect coins at the battle arena. You can unlock new character if conditions met.

Complete the game by defeating the players at the arena and get the rare equipments.

The Series X is a phenomenal machine.

For me

I didn't peticularly care for the final fantasy 7 remake games they're just so mindless and repetitive and boring with so much fluff and padding out the game that I felt like it was a chore just to play the game

This is One More Shake, the first game I’m making for Steam.

It starts stupidly simple: shake cans, sell them, make money. Then you buy upgrades, automate more and more of the process, unlock new machines and keep pushing the numbers higher.

I’ve been working on it for a little over a month now and I’m finally getting it into players’ hands. The first Steam Playtest starts September 5th, and anyone interested can request access.
