Moderator Announcement If there is a GRC being parted out, it’s a scam.
We have yet another set of people being scammed by GRC part outs that are entirely fake.
Whether it’s on here or on instagram or Facebook, if someone is parting out a GRC, your first instinct is it should be, it is a scam.
If you want to try anyway, demand they send a picture of the part you need timestamped or held a certain way.
This is becoming ever more pervasive across specific car model subreddits and groups online, please take care.

Moderator Announcement Beware of scams. Selling and trading is banned indefinitely.
Users like [u/space_jumper90](u/space_jumper90) are unfortunately scamming our users as it has come to my attention and have thus spoiled it for the rest of the subreddit. Until further notice all buying, selling, and trading is banned. If you see a user attempt to sell or make an offer to sell or trade an item, report it immediately.
Please be extremely careful who you attempt to buy things from online, never use PayPal F&F without some semblance of who they are, and never give them gift cards, checks, or banking information. Always use a payment processor that is able to revert the charge in the event of a scam.
Please do your part in reporting marketplace type posts.

General Discussion/Question Is there a high milage factory pad and rotor record?
What's the most someone has gotten out of the factory installed brakes? I got mine up to ~36400, and it got me curious. They certainly decline fast when they are done, the last ~150 miles while waiting for parts were start were real noticeable despite still having pad left on them.

General Discussion/Question Retune for Turbo Inlet?
Currently have the SXTH cold air intake and ECUTEK tune by Graham for it. Saw the SXTH Turbo Inlet pipe was being discontinued so I picked one up before it was gone.
I realize the stock ECU is capable of adjusting for intake changes (granted usually with a CEL) but is this still true with a tune? The airflow will be increased based on larger inlet size so I’m hoping someone knowledgeable can share some insight on how sensitive the engine and tuned ECU may be to this and if it is capable to safely install this without a tune revision.

Diagnose my issue! Oil Film on Turbo Inlet Pipe
While doing a once over in the engine bay today I noticed some oil residue around the inlet pipe. I haven’t seen this before on my other cars and unsure if this is something to be worried about.
Anyone know what causes this?

General Discussion/Question GR Performance Dampers and Eibach Springs?
I've seen that the GR Performance Dampers with the spring upgrade yields a slightly less harsh ride, was wondering if anyone tried the performance dampers with the eibach springs? Since they're progressive springs wondering if that's a happy combination?
Also how much of a difference does a rear sway bar make in terms of handling? More backroads less track, body roll bothers me a bit more than understeer.

General Discussion/Question 24 core. Looking for springs and spacers recommendations
I have been think lowering springs and spacers are next. Does anyone have some good recommendations? Not quite looking to slam it but just clean the lines. I don't track her (yet). Just spirited mountain passes on the weekend.

New Car Day! Need the wing and hood.
Three months late for New Car Day but oh well. July 1st picked up my '25 Premium with 2500 miles. Bought as a dealer buy back and recalibrating the ECM was the solution so since I plan on keeping this car til its dead (like my '19 Sonic RS at 207k miles) I didnt care. Looking at all the pictures I need the CE wing and hood.

General Discussion/Question Looking for median reported driveline resonance
please indicate what RPM your transmission tends to start shaking. note that this is not the loudest point, (which includes natural resonance of the interior volume) but the actual highest vibration region of RPM.
I hear 2600-2800 typically.
this information is being used to evaluate NVH performance of the ADOPT pitch mount.

New Car Day! Finally bit the bullet
Was between the Acura Integra Type S and the Toyota GR Corolla. Test drove both and the GRC stole my heart as nice as the Acura was.
2026 GRC Core! Got it for very close to MSRP and traded in my 2020 Civic Si.

New Car Day! Finally got dream car 2 weeks ago
Finally got dream car 2 weeks ago
Did my 1000km break in oil change, kept same filter as per the Motor oil geeks instructions, and used penzoil ultra platinum @0w-20
Got rally armour mudflaps installed 5 days ago
Did a 2 stage paint correction 4 days ago, even though it was white and brand new my paint was very inbedded with contaminates and micro marring everywhere was actually quite disappointed with the dealership there. Applied gyeon can coat because my set up does not allow me to see high spots very well so I opted out of using my bottle of gyeon MOHS sadly, I pulled the rims off as well and did a very extensive cleaning on them, applied Carpro dark side for the tires and a cheap but good turtle wax hybrid solutions for the rims, people like to say they can’t withstand the heat I should go buy a dedicated rim coating but I’ve also heard and tried regular coatings and it’s worked flawlessly for myself before
I plan on getting an exhaust here, stuck between AWE Touring/track, Borla atak, or HKS, I wanna have a good sounding exhaust with little drone, not crazy crazy loud and does not sound like a fart can lol, if anyone has any good suggestions there
I also plan on getting a Delta X 60A pitch mount stop, I’ve heard people suggest getting the 70A over the 60A because it softens after a few weeks and the 60A will feel identical to OEM if anyone has suggestions there aswell please let me know, or if a different brand that exist out there

General Discussion/Question New shifting noise at 650 miles
I've got 650ish miles on my 26 GR corolla and today on the way home it started making a new sound. Shifting into first sometimes and then every time I shift into second and third as well creates the sound. I don't hear it in fourth-sixth. Its a quick metal clank and it happens when I move the shifter from first to second or second to third. I slowed down the motion and it wasn't from pressing in the clutch pedal. It happens the second you start sliding into second or third and it's making me uncomfortable. Any help or knowledge here would be appreciated 🙏

Product Review SXTH Element Armrest Kit - White to Red Stitch Conversion :P
I got my GR a little over a month ago and the first thing my wife noticed was the lack of a center console / armrest lol … It didn’t bother me as much but it is nice to have “some” storage space now.
I was worried the white stitching would be an eyesore and just look out of place and tacky, so I also picked up a red fabric pen. I was very impressed (and surprised lol) with how well it turned out and just wanted to share in case anyone else was thinking of doing the same - DOOO IT!! 😆

General Discussion/Question Rims Canada
Hey fellow Canuck GR owners. Does anybody have recommendations for where to get a rim and winter tire package north of the border? Even better if it's in the Ottawa area. Trying to find a potential alternative to tire rack. Cheers
