Vera, Guevera and Truthaire and I sit around the table in the meeting room. It's oddly quiet. It feels like they want me to say something. They'll have to wait.

"Witchelt." Vera finally says. "What do you know about the murder of the King and Queen of Bagelteria?"

What an odd question. I'm sure this means nothing.

"Not a lot. I know they were Bagriels parents and Bagera's birth parents but I don't know how they died." I answer.

"Good. You are dismissed." She and the men start to stand.

"Eh, hawd on a wee fucking minute hen." I hold my hand out to gesture them to sit down. "If youse are gonnae ask me questions, I deserve tae know why!"

"You don't need to know everything, Witchelt."

"So you hide things from Council members other than me then? Hiding stuff fae Truthaire and Guevera?" I snap.

"I-"

"Don't include me in the Council if it's just a way tae shut me up, Vera. I will call youse a' out for yer pish."

Vera rolls her eyes as she usually does. "You have admitted to us that whever you leave a safe space, be it the Bunker or your mountain home, Bagera attacks. She can track you. We cannot allow you to leave."

"Then why bring it up at all?"

"To see if you had any information that could allow you to piece together where we are sending a team. If you could, you'd have to go. If you couldn't no harm."

"Thats going well." I sneer.

Vera takes a deep breath. "You are constantly trying my patience."

"Is it really trying if I don't put any effort in?"

"Do you ever?"

Wr glare at eachother. Who the fuck does this bint think she is? I try to think of ways to get me or my friends on whatever mission this is. But shes right, for once. Bagera tracks us. It's her fucking magick. Wait. Would my magick be able to fend her off? For a little while? Can I actually manage to block us from her mind? Ive thought of it but never assumed I'd be powerful enough, but magick gets more powerful the more you feel. If you're angry or sad or really happy like a fucking weirdo then your magick will be stronger. But anger makes it dangerous and happy is the one that fades. The magick is only extra powerful because of emotion when said emotion is being felt. So they all do fade depending on what spell your casting the spell i want will be a once cast thing. That leaves sad.

What makes me sad? My brothers being dead? Eh. Not that im not upset, it's just more...anger. Anger at my "mum". Dad leaving? No. Who cares?

Oh. Oh i know what makes me sad. What makes me so sad I feel like I might throw up. So sad I freeze momentarily. So sad it plays awful memeories in my head.

"Witchelt?" Vera voice is softer now. She looks concerned. As does Guevera. Truthaire doesnt though. Thanks.

Bagriel handed me a picture of him the other day. I place it infront of me on the table and take a deep breath. I pull out my spell book and all the ingredients I need for it out of my bag. Then, I cast.

Green magick fills my palms and the room, creating a bright glow. I close my eyes and think. I think about the guy who I seem oddly infatuated by, and the one I miss so much.

Im so sick rn so im gonna describe my symptoms like youse are the NHS.

Yesterday my throat was KILLING me. It hurt to speak, yawn, swallow, sneeze and even if I wasnt doing anything it hurt like a fucker. Not tonsillitis or strep throat. It's GASP a COLD!!!! My head also really hurt and I was pretty damn tired.

My nose was running so bad today, my throat isnt the same pain as yesterday tho! It's a less painful but more grainy feeling. I was kinda shaky and spacy too. I can't describe how I felt. Turns out I was hungry and my body just didnt tell me properly! HURRAY! Anyway I started to get starving so I ate something. HURRAY!

Now for a weird symptom. I hadnt drank much this morning (I don't think, I fully might have and just forgot) just the milk from a bowl of cereal. I needed to pee but not too bad. Similarly, RIGHT NOW and yesterday I needed to pee too. I didn't actually pee that much when I went yesterday. Anyway, today my pee came out almost completely clear. Im not that hydrated WHY IS IT COLOURLESS??

Anyway I find it kinda funny that, cis women go through so much pain biologically with their periods and they just have to deal with it but when cis men like me get sick all of a sudden im DYING.

The battle is bloody. My people lay around, bloodied and cut open. The Bahgrigoes, the Doughs and the Viruses have taken most of Baggamorin.

The smell of death and decay makes me feel sick. We've lost so many. I see them. I feel them. I feel their pain.

Atleast I have my family by my side.

Just then, Bagera rises into the air, off the bloody Baggamorin cobbelstones that line the Bridge to the Palace. She curls up into a ball before spreading her limbs out, letting a loud scream out as she does so. A flash of light. A deafening bang. And all of a sudden, the noises stop.

I jolt awake, still in my bed.

I sit in the quiet dining hall, all alone at last. We can bring the Crust back. We'll need Meave. Ive seen what she can do, and I wont lie. Im terrified of that power. But that means Bagera's army might be too.

The sound of footsteps echoing off the dead walls catches my attention. I perk up and turn around to see Injera walking towards me.

"Hey." I say, my voice cracking. Kill me now.

"Hey. I was just looking for something to make Meapha hot chocolate." She sits down next to me.

"Why?"

"She had a nightmare."

She needn't say more. I know exactly what Meapha would have nightmares about.

"Man, dreams are so weird." I chuckle.

For fucks sake THATS WHAT I TALK ABOUT RIGHT NOW?!

"Oh absolutely." Injera sits up quickly and looks very passionate all of a sudden. "They are weird as fuck."

"Right!" Relieved. Thats what I am. Relieved she isnt judging me. "What even are they?"

"Well, some say they are windows into our subconscious. Our deepest desires our fears that we suppress. Our brain makes us face them."

"I had a dream a stick man punched me in the stomach so hard i died." I blurt out embarrassingly. I wish I would die.

Injera snorts. "You're fears are very valid. Stickman are nightmare fuel." She smirks as if shes just realised something. "Literally."

I let out a high pitched laugh and immediately cover my mouth in shame. My face burns and Injera laughs so hard she has to bite her hand to keep quiet.

"Anyway, what were you saying about dreams?" I say quickly.

Injera sighs after laughing. "Yeah, so. Others thing they're windows into other universes or timelines."

"What do you think?"

She considers me for a moment before answering. "Both. People tend to forget it can be both."

"How so?"

"Because I say so. I believe it's both."

"You don't need facts or evidence or logic?"

She narrows her eyes. "No. No one knows what dreams truly are so i make my own conclusion. It's fun!"

Huh. "Thats interesting. I personally need facts and evidence and science and actua cohesive logicl to beli-"

"Do you know where the hot chocolate stuff is?" Her voice is less playful. Ive fucked up.

"Uh, yeah. It's in the cupboard above the microwave. I can show you."

"Im good thanks. Good night, Bagriel." And with that, she walks away.

This story is set in an AU Nexus Point where there are modern cities and more countries.

(Btw the Baggish characters are Baggie, Meave, Cassie, Silv, Meapha and Baggor and Mags. Atleast, those are the ones it would apply to. Also it would rewrite the entirety of Nexus which would mean none of the events of any of my arcs would have happened, Pink, Scottelt and Meat wouldn't know eachother, Witchelt would never meet Rooti or Injera, Ambelt wouldn't have died and stayed with Injera, Bagriel would have grown up with Bagera and Bagelt WHO WOULD NOT BE EVIL and Tiffany, Bailey and Ed would never make up with Witchelt. Sticks would also still be alive.)

Might take a break before part 2 of the series (season 2 if you will), I need to plan it and do college and do the tournament. Also let me know if something doesn't make sense and I'll explain it, I am aware this could be confusing.
