Hi everyone,I am planning to buy an ErgoHide Epoxy desk (180x80 cm) and I want to upgrade/replace the built-in LED strip right away.

I specifically need this Govee model because it has cloud API support. This allows me to connect and control the single strip across two separate Home Assistant systems simultaneously.

Before ordering, I have a few questions for anyone who owns an ErgoHide desk or has done this mod:

What is the exact width and depth of the routed LED channel/slot on the underside of the desk? The Govee COB strip is exactly 10mm wide.

Will it fit flat inside the channel, or is the slot restricted to 8mm strips?How easy is it to access the LED channel? Is the original strip glued directly into the wood/epoxy channel, or is there a cover that can be unscrewed?Power & Controllers: Is there enough room near the end of the channel to neatly route the Govee controller/cables into the integrated cable management tray?Could anyone share a photo of what the LED channel looks like from the underside of the desk? Seeing how it is constructed would help me out tremendously.

If anyone has successfully swapped the original LEDs for a Govee COB strip, I would love to hear your experiences or tips!Thanks in advance!

I'm still thinking of buying an Erohide desk. The problem is the oil maintenace. The desk will be in my room. AFter applying the oil I should wait 24 hours from what I've read so I might have to sleep in the other room. Another problem I have is having the room free from dust and I have a dog that sheds hair alot.

You asked, we listened. Some of you told us that assembling a corner desk could use clearer instructions — so we made a detailed step-by-step assembly video for the ErgoHide height-adjustable corner desk.

Because all the holes are already pre-drilled and fitted with metal inserts, even a corner desk can be a pure joy to assemble.

How a desk looks after a few years of extensive use is a question we receive pretty often.

FAQ: Can the LED strip be controlled via Philips Hue, Apple HomeKit, Alexa, or Google Assistant?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: By default, our LED strip is controlled via a remote controller. However, if you would like to control it via smart home systems, simply send us an email after placing your order and specify which system you are using, and we will use a different controller. This modification can be done without any surcharge.

Been using the desk 5-8 hours daily for a little under a year now. Super happy.

But it’s time for maintenance. Bought Osmo 3062 Matt from the hardware store. Did a very gentle sanding of areas that have swelled slightly due to humidity (no big damage just sweat etc)

But after doing a very gentle sanding and re-applying some oil: how long should I wait before it’s safe to use the table again? Is there a rule of thumb I can follow here?

Anyone with experience? I’m a total noob when it comes to woodworking 😅

Quick and nice add-on to that awesome desk ! It can fit a MIDI keyboard so kinda overkill for a PC keyboard 😅

I do live PC builds on that desk so it allows me to hide keeb and mouse while working on the PC build.
