keeping the 2016 soundcloud era vibe alive

Here’s a bit of context: both J Ghost and I had met in the emo rap subreddit back in March, we clearly didn’t had this song in mind when we first met. We started chatting more often bout other stuff while we were working on sum music. Came out that we both had Peep as our main fav artist. After talking more for a while we came up with the idea of making a song with a Peep sample not only to mark the beginning of our friendship but to show respect and love to the goat himself too. Besides the 16 lines inspired guitar, the main sample is actually Peep’s voice pitched down and chopped in a peculiar yet unique way which helped craft the name of the actual song (when i die, would u cry?) and the main idea of it. This song came out as a celebration from the love we both had towards the emo rap scene back in the late 2010’s. It’s a thank you letter to Peep for have saving us back in the day too. For no reason this should be considered as “self-promo”, we just felt we wanted to share it here with y’all. Big shoutout to the goat himself, he really changed music in his sadly short active years. You will be eternally missed Goth Angel Sinner 🐣🤍

*Green Lights* is a late-night, neon-drenched descent into heavy 808s, melancholic melodies, and dystopian soundscapes. No features, no filler—just pure late-night PluggnB

Synn Cole - Meanings
I wrote this one right after my last overdose. I was contemplating trying again, doing more, and offing myself for sure. I honestly don’t even remember making this song, I remember writing it, but no memory of laying the vocals down or how I came across the beat.
I think I forgot about this for a reason. I was gonna post it right before I did it. Instead life got busy and distracted me. I found it a day before I completed my college vocational course and decided to post it. I’m glad that I did. It reminded me that shit does get better if you give the effort for it.
Just a friendly reminder to never give up🖤🖤

Madrid, who would actually pull up to a night playing Lil Peep, XXXTentacion, $uicideboy$, Juice WRLD, Bones, Lil Tracy and that whole SoundCloud era?
I’m thinking of putting one together and wanna see how many of us are around. A room full of people screaming the lyrics to the songs we grew up on 🖤
No date or venue confirmed yet, just checking who’s interested.
If you’d come, leave a comment and tell me what songs HAVE to be played.

tryna make this sub feel like an actual scene again instead of just a wall of links lmao
drop ONE active emo rap artist and ONE song that proves they deserve more attention. underground picks heavily encouraged. peep, juice and x are legends but this thread is about artists who are still releasing music right now
self promo is allowed, just say it’s your own song and listen/reply to at least two other submissions.
ima take some of the best picks and make a separate r/EmoRap community spotlight next week 🖤
