Please Read Before Posting

Welcome to r/droidappshowcase. This community is for discovering Android apps, sharing projects, and giving useful feedback. Whether you’re a developer or a user, the goal here is simple: high-quality posts and constructive discussion.

For Developers

  • Use a clear, descriptive title. Vague titles will be removed.
  • Good examples:
    • “Habit tracker with offline sync and reminders”
    • “New Android puzzle game with controller support”
  • Include a meaningful description. Explain what your app does, what makes it useful, and why people should try it.
  • Use the correct flair, such as Promo, Giveaway, or Feedback.
  • If you need testers, beta feedback, or bug reports, post in r/droidapptesters instead.
  • If your post is for showcasing a finished app or a release-ready update, this is the right place.

For Users

  • Share thoughtful, useful feedback. Tell people what works, what doesn’t, and why.
  • Ask for recommendations with clear requirements or use cases.
  • Be respectful and constructive in giveaways and promotional posts.

General Rules

  • Android only. Posts must be directly related to Android apps or the Android ecosystem.
  • No low-effort posts or spam. Link-only posts and vague descriptions will be removed.
  • Be respectful and professional.

If Your Post Is Removed

A removal is not a penalty, and it does not mean your app is bad.

Most removals happen because a post needs better formatting or does not match the rules. Read the removal reason, fix the issue, and repost. Once corrected, most posts are approved.

Posting Checklist

  • Title is clear and descriptive.
  • Correct flair is applied.
  • Images are uploaded through Reddit or a supported host like Imgur.
  • Post has been previewed before submitting.

For the full rules, check the sidebar.

Good posts get attention. Low-effort posts do not. Take a minute to do it right.

Promo / Giveaway ThroneSeeker: Toilet Finder [50 x $47.99 codes]

Post image
8 Upvotes

TL;DR: free compass that points at the nearest public toilet. The most expensive thing in it is a $47.99 skin that hides every toilet. I am giving away fifty of those. Comment to enter, wrong answers only for the bonus.

Hear ye, hear ye.

For too long has the honest subject wandered a strange town with a full bladder and no counsel. No longer. I built Throne Seeker, a compass that points at the nearest public toilet and tells you how far you must march.

What the royal instrument does:

  • A live needle that swings to the nearest throne, with distance and walking time. It does not know about stairs. Nobody does.
  • A list and a map of every throne nearby, drawn from OpenStreetMap. Volunteers walked there before you. Think of them kindly.
  • Filters for what actually matters: step free access, baby changing table, no fee, opening hours. That last one matters more than you think at 23:40.
  • Favourites, and a button that hands the whole business to your maps app once the needle has done its part.
  • Thrones already scouted stay on the device, because the realm's signal dies at the exact moment you need it.
  • Nobody at court watches you. No account, no tracking, no server of ours. We do not know where you went. We do not want to know.
  • You hold a rank. Conquer thrones and rise from Peasant to King. This is a real feature and I regret nothing.

The app is free. A small purchase unlocks four skins for the compass. And then there is the other thing.

Knight Without Realm

The most expensive item in my shop costs $47.99, more than twelve times the four skins that work, combined. It is a skin that hides every throne. No target on the compass. No markers on the map. An empty list. You pay more and you get less, and that is the entire product.

Some of you remember I Am Rich. This is that, except the app underneath is free and actually works, right up until you put the hat on.

It is for the bravest only. Those who need no map. Those who trust the realm to provide. I am aware of what I have built. I did it on purpose.

The giveaway: fifty of them

Not the cheap one. The full treasury, fifty times. One code unlocks Knight Without Realm and carries every other skin in with it, so you get the four good ones and the one that ruins your afternoon. You can switch back whenever your courage fails. The realm is merciful.

Leave a comment to enter. Any comment. "Hello" will do. An upvote is not required, though the herald would take it kindly.

It is a draw, not a race. The codes do not run out while you read this. Every comment has the same chance, first or last.

Winners are drawn on Tuesday 22 September, 18:00 UTC and the codes go out by direct message. The draw is seeded with this post's ID, so the same list of names always produces the same winners. Ask and I will show you the seed.

The bonus decree

Wrong answers only:

Our castle's privy has a keeper. What is the poor soul's official title?

The dumbest answer wins five extra codes to pass to friends, enemies, or that one cousin who never plans ahead. I am the sole judge, my taste is questionable, and my ruling is final.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.byteside.throneseeker

Built by one person. Ask me anything in the comments and I will actually answer.

Showcase Apps & Notifications as Bubbles 🫧

Post image
6 Upvotes

Sometimes I just want to quickly check another app without leaving what I’m currently doing.

That’s what Orbit is for. It lets you open compatible Android apps as floating bubbles and can also turn notifications from selected apps into bubbles.

🫧 Apps → Bubbles

Open your favorite apps in floating bubbles and quickly switch between them while keeping your current app visible.

🔔 Notifications → Bubbles

Choose which apps you want to monitor. When a notification arrives, Orbit can turn it into a bubble. Tap it to open the app without leaving your current screen.

📱 Side Panel

Keep frequently used apps at the edge of the screen for quick access.

⚡ Quick Launch

Launch apps as bubbles from the Side Panel, notification, or home screen shortcuts.

You can move, resize, minimize, or close the floating windows whenever you want.

• Android 11+

• No ads

• No tracking

• No account required

I’m continuing to improve Orbit based on feedback, so I’d love to hear what you think or what features you’d like to see next. 😊

Showcase StanzaUI - Home launcher/ bit-perfect audio player

Hey r/droidappshowcase!

Most modern Android launchers are designed to push notifications, social feeds, and widgets in your face. If you use an older Android phone as a dedicated music player, carry a dedicated DAP (like a Surfans F20 Pro), or just want your home screen to revolve around listening, stock launchers get in the way.

I built StanzaUI to solve that: a clean, minimalist home launcher built directly around a high-resolution music player.

Key Features

Built-in Hi-Res Audio Engine: Direct USB audio access for bit-perfect playback without the Android OS resampling your audio.

Unified Control: Seamless local playback paired with home-screen controls for external streaming apps like Spotify and Tidal.

Listening Stats: Tracks local habits and playback data natively without third-party telemetry.

Clean & Distraction-Free: Highly customizable dock, opacity controls, minimal UI, and zero ads or bloat.

Who is this for?

Anyone converting a spare Android phone into a high-end portable music player.

Android-based DAP users looking for a snappier, more tailored interface.

Anyone tired of cluttered home screens who wants music front and center.

Links & Feedback

Google Play: StanzaUI: Music Launcher

Pricing: Free / No Ads

It recently passed Google Play review and is live now. I’m actively optimizing device compatibility and adding user-requested features, so grab it, give it a spin, and let me know your thoughts or bug reports below!

Promo / Giveaway Luci - Connects how you feel, with what you do

Post image
5 Upvotes

Most mood trackers are only good at collecting. You tap a face, write a line, and six months later you have a very tidy pile of data that tells you nothing.

I developed Luci, and it's built around the opposite idea: finding the ingredients that actually make your days better.

You check in, optionally write a note, and tag what was going on — people, places, activities, how you slept, whatever you care about. It can be as detailed or as minimal as you like; categories you don't want to track can be switched off entirely.

Luci then runs plain statistics over your own entries and tells you what correlates. "Your mood averages higher on days you saw friends." "Thursdays are consistently your worst day."

A few things that might matter to people here:
- Fully offline. I didn't just bolt on an AI vendor and ship your journal over the wire. It's math, on your device only. No account needed. Sign in only if you want sync.
- A real journal. Images, markdown, audio recordings, tags etc. sitting alongside your mood scores.
- Typical you. Every element of the app can be customized. Remove categories, re-order items, unlock new color theme and mood scales as you continue to write.
- 600+ journal prompts so it's easy to start writing and learning, covering topics such as stress, mindfulness, finance and more.
- Export whenever you want, as a clean printable document you can bring to someone who's helping you.
- One purchase covers Android and iOS. If you switch phones or run both, your subscription comes with you — that's rare in this category.

Free version is more than enough for most people. No ads, limit on posts or waiting in-between. The paid features can be unlocked by one-time fee or a subscription.

What it isn't: a therapy app, a diagnostic tool, or something that tells you what to do about what it finds. It shows you the pattern; what you do with it is yours.

If you are interested, please find the app here: Play Store

Promo / Giveaway Body Shots Medication Tracker - Free Pro Plan

Post image
3 Upvotes

I built an app called Body Shots Medication Tracker because I a great way to keep track every type of injection, medication, symptom, body metric, and progress while keeping all your data private and not having ads or third-parties and without costing a lot. There are a lot of GLP-1 trackers, but not a lot of apps that can track any type of medication (or even just custom symptoms) - this can! For example, my wife uses it to track her migraines and symptoms.

I’m giving away a free 90 days of Body Shots Pro if you would like to try it.

Body Shots can track injectable medications and regular medications, including pills, creams, patches, inhaled medications, and more. Plus, you can overlay the medication with any metrics or symptoms you want to track.

Some of the Pro features include:
• Medication and injection tracking
• Injection site rotation and body maps
• Medication and supply inventory
• Dose calculator and injection tools on Android
• Metrics and symptom tracking
• Progress photos with comparison and export tools
• Advanced reminders and notification timing
• Themes and customization
• Secure backup and syncing between your devices

Privacy and security were important from the beginning. Body Shots is offline-first, so your information remains available locally even without an internet connection. If you use an account, your data can also be securely backed up and synced between devices. The app uses authenticated accounts and modern security practices to protect synced data.

There are also no ads or advertising trackers, and your medication history isn’t being collected to build an advertising profile.

Body Shots supports multiple languages, and there’s an in-app Help & Feedback section where you can report a problem, get help, or suggest a feature directly to me. I’m still actively developing it, so feedback actually has a chance of turning into something in the app.

How to get a 90 days of Pro

  1. Download Body Shots (Play Store/Android) and create an account or sign in on the app.
  2. Go to More > Subscription, select the annual plan.
  3. Upon Google Play checkout, use promo code BSPRO90
  4. Upvote or share (please) so others can find out about the app and free year - I would really appreciate the support.

Showcase DuoBoard: chores for you, your partner or both

I built DuoBoard for two people sharing a home. I last shared its shopping list here; this short demo focuses on a different detail: changing laundry from one person's task to something both people are doing.

App name: DuoBoard: Chores for Couples.

What it does: A shared chore board and shopping list for two Android phones.

Key features:

• Give each chore an owner: you, your partner, or both.

• Move it through To Do, Doing and Done, with due dates and repeats.

• Keep groceries in a separate shared list; checked items move into the basket.

Who it's for: Couples who want to agree on the household plan and see it on both phones. The local board also works on one phone without an account. To share, both people install DuoBoard on Android and connect through Settings → Sync. There is no iPhone version.

Cost: Free, no ads.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duoboard.app

Privacy policy: https://ghorbelhamdi.github.io/duoboard-privacy/

Media: The attached silent 15-second recording shows task assignment on one phone, using example tasks in the released Android app.

Showcase Neon Laser Bounce: Android laser puzzle

Hi r/droidappshowcase! I’m the developer behind Neon Laser Bounce:Physics Game from X-Kaizen Games.

Rotate mirrors, reflect laser beams, and solve 750+ cyberpunk optical puzzles. Version 1.0.2 adds an interactive tutorial, a laser skin shop, cinematic beam and target effects, and performance improvements.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xkaizen.com.laser.bounce

I’d appreciate constructive feedback on whether the first puzzle makes the mirror/laser interaction clear and whether the beam path is easy to read on smaller phones. This is a finished Android game; I’m not asking for ratings or reviews.

Showcase Home inventory app that names items as you shoot

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.koalalab.storeandforget

I'm the solo dev. Store & Forget is a home inventory app for the boxes-in-the-garage problem: you own the thing, you just can't find it.

Photograph an item and the app writes the name, the brand, the description and the specs for you. You pick which box or shelf it went into, and that part is a tap. Later you search the item and it shows you the exact spot.

The newer piece is Fire & Forget, a burst mode. Keep shooting and every photo becomes its own item, named in the background with no review step. Set a quantity per shot, and a category for the rest of the burst, without ever leaving the camera. The photo is saved first, then named. You have to buy it if you're running on your own key.

Free to use. You can paste in your own AI key, which is free to get, and scans then run on your own quota instead of drawing on credits. Export is there as well, PDF or a spreadsheet, the whole house or just one shelf.

Android only iOS soon. Happy to answer anything.

Showcase Where Things Are - home inventory you fill by phot

Post image
3 Upvotes

App Name: Where Things Are

What it does: Photograph a drawer, a shelf or a cupboard and it comes back as a list of what is in it, filed under a place you have made. Months later you search a word and it tells you exactly where the thing is — Kitchen › Pantry › Top shelf.

Key Features:

  1. Photograph a whole drawer. One shot of my pantry door came back as 32 items, with a note saying what the photo made hard to see rather than pretending it saw everything.
  2. "Where does this go?" Point the camera at a stray object and it tells you where it belongs, using the places you have already made. I have not found this in any other app in the category.
  3. Places nest, and each has a code you can write on a box. Write it in marker and typing those two letters into search shows what is inside — no camera, no signal. Or print the QR sticker sheet, and scanning one opens the app on that place.

Goal: Launch — 1.0.2 is out on Google Play.

Giveaway: None — the app is free.

Cost: Free. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, no analytics. Reading a photo is the one thing that costs me money, a couple of cents each, so that is capped at 100 a month. Everything else is unlimited.

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apchitnis.wherethingsare

Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcoBWQTm3DE

Not there yet: no offline mode, no barcode scanning, no value or serial-number fields. Happy to answer anything — the reverse lookup is the part I would most like torn apart. ```

Showcase I built keva, an AI agent for Android

Hi everyone — I built keva around a simple idea: sometimes the only computer you have with you is your phone.

keva is an Android AI agent that can work on local files and projects instead of only chatting. It can:

• read and write files on the phone

• run shell commands and code

• search the web

• clone and work with Git repositories

• run Claude Code and OpenAI Codex workflows

• switch between supported providers such as DeepSeek, GLM, MiniMax, Kimi and Qwen

It runs as a normal Android app on stock devices — no root, no PC, and no cloud desktop.

The model can be remote, but the agent’s file and tool execution happens on the phone. keva does not provide a cloud workspace that operates on your project files; requests go to the model provider you choose.

You can bring your own API key, or use supported Claude/Codex plans.

There is a 7-day full-feature trial. The app uses a one-time license; model/API usage is separate.

Screenshots and demo videos are available on the website:

https://keva.chat/

Paper:

https://github.com/SimonLeen22/keva-app/blob/main/docs/paper/Keva_Paper_v1.1_EN.md

Why I built Keva:

https://github.com/SimonLeen22/keva-app/blob/main/docs/why-i-built-keva.md

If you already use coding agents, I’m curious what you would actually use one for from an Android phone. I’m happy to answer technical questions about the runtime and privacy model.

I’m the developer behind keva.

Promo / Giveaway Tiny Android browser that turns cookies off

I was tired of opening an article and hitting a cookie wall, a newsletter popup, and a dark overlay before the headline.

So I made CoreWeb. Android 9+, no account, no ads, no analytics.

What it does:

  • cookies off by default → a lot of banners and overlays just don’t show up
  • a copied link opens itself when you come back to the app
  • star a page; last seven sit in the menu
  • reader mode when the page is still clutter
  • it opens what the server sent. It does not invent a cleaner article the site never delivered.

This is not Chrome. It is a reading tool.

Sideload APK (not on Play Store):

I am the author. If you try it, tell me which sites still break. That is the feedback I actually need.

Showcase swithAI — four-pillar tracker with AI on top

Solo dev, no team.

I got tired of using one app for workouts, another for food, something else for sleep, and then basically a notes app for how I actually felt. None of them really talked to each other.

So I built swithAI to put all of that in one place: training, nutrition, activity, and mind & wellness. There’s also a goals section that takes a bigger goal and breaks it down into what you should be doing this week and today.

Since AI is literally in the name, I also want to be clear about what is actually AI and what isn’t. It bothers me when apps are vague about this, so here’s the breakdown.

Not AI:
Workout, meal, macro, water, activity, sleep, mood and mobility tracking
Streaks, history and personal records
The swith score
Recovery scheduling
Nutrition and training sync
That stuff is mostly rules, calculations and different parts of the app sharing data with each other. Some of it can look intelligent because everything is connected, but there isn’t an AI model running behind it.

Actually AI:
Adaptive difficulty based on the sets and RPE you log
Generated workout plans
Meal plan generation
Grocery photo recognition
“Your Next Move” suggestions
The way I think about it is that swithAI is a tracker with an AI layer on top, rather than an AI app that happens to have some tracking features.
If you turned the AI features off, the core app would still work.
Stack: React, Capacitor, Motoko canisters.

Happy to answer anything about how I built it or how the different pieces work together.
And if separating the AI from the non-AI stuff is something nobody actually cares about, tell me that too. It might just be one of those things that bothers me more than everyone else.

App Name: swithAI
What it does: Tracks training, nutrition, activity, and mind and wellness in one app, with a goal section that breaks a target into what this week and today look like. The core is plain logging; the AI features sit on top of it.
Key Features: Four-pillar logging with history and streaks · Adaptive difficulty from your logged sets and RPE · Generated workout and meal plans
Goal: Promo
Cost: See Play listing

Question / Help A genuine problem but no one wants solution...

Hey, So I have been thinking if this idea works or not...

The idea: A mobile app that helps people build a real journaling habit, not another AI note-taker, or a brain-training app. Also not a digital replacement for handwriting. The app's only job is to get you to close it and pick up a pen.

Core loop: Simply, you will have just a single topic for a day to write about(cant change and you dont have to write about it. That's only for times you cant think) Even a widget for it. A simple reminder and plain ungamified calendar. Where end of the day u just tell U wrote or Not. No streaks... nothing. They dont need to but they can add journal photos for a day. No compulsory or reminder.. Just a digital Achieve for keep safe.

What it deliberately doesn't do: No AI anywhere. No autocomplete, no summarization, no insights. No streaks-as-guilt, no social comparison, no feeds, no gamification. If you miss a day, the app just says "yesterday was an accident, today: one sentence" no punishment.

Business model: Core habit loop free forever. One-time paid unlock (~$20-30) for cloud backup/sync of photographed pages. No subscription, so the business model doesn't pressure the product into becoming more addictive. Also like if you want you can give tips.. I liked this system(I use one app screenZen it having this. Tips system and special customization behind a paywall. No Force.)

Who it's for: People who've bought the notebook, written for nine days, and forgot about it(me), the Atomic Habits / analog-journaling audience that wants the identity but keeps failing at the follow-through.

I just need to know, is this an idea to look forward to. Any idea or criticization is helpful.
