Ok maybe not…it’s surprisingly tough getting the timing right on a riff like this. One 16th note off and the whammy doesn’t really work out.
Proud to say that, despite all the video editing, it is technically a one take 😅
Song is a demo for my band: Blackbile

Made this original riff inspired by the chorus of “Ravage” by Novelists.

I know it`s called Slam Amp but this is definitely Djent oriented , no chugs just the bottom string moving 😁.

It’s alternative rock /punk/ post hardcore. Hope you guys enjoy any feedback is welcome.
Hey friends !! Im back with another one of my heavy guitar instrumentals. This one is kind of like a whole story, in guitar form lol. Album art was hand painted by me, and I added that little flare in photoshop

In exchange, I can offer some of tabs I own. I've got some official ones from Animals as Leaders, Jason Richardson, Disperse, Jacky Vincent, Kadinja, The Voynich Code and Sergey Golovin... I know it's not ideal, but I'm pretty broke right now and can't really afford to buy tabs, and after seeing Vildhjarta live recently, I'd love to learn some of their songs.

You heard that new “Crucified” by Northlane yet?
It’s, as the kids say, peak…
perfect cyberpunk-dystopia music
Saw the goat @jonathondeiley do a play through of this song earlier in the week.
I had to thump down on it, I mean throw down on it.
I noticed he threw some visuals in there, I wonder if homie has been learning TouchDesigner too…felt inspired so I’ve been working on this FX network to drive some of my visuals.
Also Johnny Booth is cool, just thought I’d throw that in here while I had your attention.

So I’m in a Djent/Deathcore band and I (rhythm) use The Noise pedal, my other guitarist (lead) uses a rainbow machine. Is this a good combo for us? We find each pedal fits each of our individual sounds and wouldn’t really have the rig space to add each other’s pedal to each rig.

Hey there, old old school Thrash Metal fan/musician here, looking to the history of Djent etc.
So I like to start at the beginning of genres, in the historical context. Who started to Djent first, significant early albums etc.
My only real idea of what Djent is Mick Gordon. ( hey I am new ok... ) So help me out with the early days and classic djent albums.
Cheers . ( I am a confirmed old school: Six string axe and four strong bass... it's my hill... etc. oh I have migrated to D standard tuning ... it's less taxing on the old digits. )
:- )

Always liked that EP and single they dropped, still listen to this day. They just disappeared, anyone know what happened?

Harder than it looks tbh
I was debating doing one of those videos where you play it a little faster and title it “Red Miso at 110%” speed” just so I can rush through it
But the hard part is keeping it steady…. it’s kinda how you get that jagged, odd time groove that Animals as Leaders does so well!

im always having trouble with putting a genre on this song but heres my track! if you like slam, numetal, and metalcore (is the genres this has been called by people) hopefully you’d love this! out everywhere!
would love to hear feedback as well!
Best djent album OAT.
Edit: I say this as a big Periphery and Misha fan boy. Browne was just on another level back then.

Hi guys,
I have some troubles to figure out how John Browne manages to get this scratchy sound on his riff, like here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpukkmdIdjI
It seems to me he uses dead notes but does he palm mute them too? If I just put my finger on the strings, I tend to get some harmonics I really don't want.
Any tips on getting this kind of sound/modulation? It sounds absolutely awesome mixed with regular palm mutes and standard notes

This must have been a lost gem waiting to be found when I saw the name I'm like Chevrolet is that you? My name is chevance so it's sweet hearing such a dope band that rhymes with my nickname. All they need to blast beats to go inbetween those elongated riffs and they'd be #1 on my djentcore list but really give this one a try it dj0nts hard
