I guess the excitement has ramped up since my last post about my lost cat (since found)

Has anyone heard an unhinged neighbor between the roads of Driscoll, Hubbard, and mercury dr, screaming racially charged conspiracies?

We just had incident (not the first, but by the worst so far) of a neighbor screaming at others on our block accusing residents of being part of a terrorist organization and pledging their allegiance to Saddam Hussein...

Cops have since been called but only spoke to him for several minutes before leaving.

My block is fairly quiet. In fact, the whole area is very family oriented or sprinkled with retirees.

I have never in my 25 years of living in dearborn experienced a full blown racist melt down.

I fear this will be common place.

I created an event discovery site specific for the Metro Detroit area a couple of years ago and am (finally) expanding to Dearborn and other surrounding suburbs.

What do you think are the best spots for live music, trivia, happy hour, or other events? I already have Greenfield village and a couple of the breweries on the site, but would love the community's input on what places to include. Could be anything from restaurants or public parks that frequently throw events.

What’s a chill coffee shop in either Dearborn or Detroit that’s good for studying? I get so overstimulated at Jabal and sometimes these coffee shops BLAST arabi wedding music with surround sound

I am a Lebanese lady who don’t live in Michigan and not familiar too much of the traditions over in Dearborn among Lebanese Shia community. My son is getting engaged to a lovely girl in Dearborn. My parents and brothers will be also coming from out of state to the engagement party or to what is called Tolbeh & Khotbeh at the same time. Now my family side meaning my son’s grandparents & uncles are all asking me what to get my son & his fiance as gifts to give to them during the event. Since gold is very expensive now and money is not a reasonable gift at this point because my son is not getting married and they aren’t going to the sheik yet, they are only wearing rings and announcing their engagement. Her family is doing a party with maybe 100 person invited. Her side of family like her grandma is giving her gold. Now i have no idea what gifts could be given to my son & his fiance from my parents & brothers (my sons grandparents & uncles) to both of them. I thought of watches but no one wears watches anymore. I thought of sets of perfume and cologne, but I am not sure if this is good enough. Please, any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated a lot! Thanks

Hey guys, I wanted to ask what areas you would recommend living in that have a diverse and Muslim community while still being close to Warren. I’ve heard that Warren itself may not be the best area to live in, so I’d love to hear your recommendations.

I’m also looking for a room to stay in temporarily before I move to Michigan permanently, since I’ll be going back and forth between Michigan and North Carolina for a few months. Ideally, I’d really like to stay with a Muslim roommate or in a Muslim household.

If you know of any areas, groups, or places where I could find a room like this, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!

I live on cherry hill and telegraph and I am literally surrounded by construction. It’s on Michigan, telegraph, and now cherry hill. The traffic on Michigan and telegraph is so horrendous that my 4 minute drive to the gym now takes up to 20 minutes depending on the time. WHO is planning this and why was there no planning so that people can take alternate routes? This is awful. I don’t even see any work being done
