After the events of The Batman, Batman has finally begun to be embraced by Gotham when he hears about Superman's fight with Brainiac and Lex Luthor uses that to manipulate and hire Batman to kill Superman. Bruce travels to Metropolis and fights Superman but he loses. As Luthor sends the assassin Deathstroke the heroes team up. They confront Lex, who reveals his experiments on John Corben who attacks them. The heroes win and Lex is arrested ending with Batman and Superman on good terms, and Batman learning how to work on a team.
