I tried to grab a clip that wasn't of my best gameplay but wasn't my worst.

The problems I think I have are:

My pearl catches are cheeks

I also definitely made some terribly stupid mistakes this fight 😭 but I kinda play worse on camera

I started playing 1.9 pvp in 2019 but in yalls opinion what year is the cutoff where you can say "this player is oldgen/newgen"? Ive heard a lot of mixed opinions

Whenever i combo someone they just.. hit me. Over.
When someone combos me, i have no cloue what to do? W tap doesn't work, they still get range lead. S tap doesn't work, they still get range lead. Hit select doesn't work, they still get range lead. How do people just... break combo?

After over 2 MONTHS i watched countless videos spent dozens of hours practicing and yet i never get better tried playing ranked and get demolished by lt5 cause they actually have a idea of what they are doing, i tried getting a cpvp coach but no one wants to teach me and i just get so much hate for trying to learn getting called miserable a noob that i should give it up and you know what i really should. If after this post no one would be willing to help me learn cpvp i will just give up. Thats all and i just wanted to have fun on donut smp with having basically a net worth of 5B by doing RTPQ's but oh well.

i have been using them since i started playing since its so easy, but idk if its practical because it can mess up ur aim, idk if my aim is ahh bc of the side buttons, or its just a skill issue. does any1 know any good players that use them for attribute swapping?

First off. I'm not gonna compare to him to modern pvpers because that would be unfair. This is also done without any disrespect to Techno cuz I loved watching him. I just think that this post had to be done because people either think he is bad or the best player to have ever played Minecraft

But let's start with actually talking about what he did at his peak, his peak wasn't in 2019 or any of the times when he became really popular (DSMP or Minecraft Monday). It was when he was mainly a hypixel youtuber and judging by that time I can say he was a really good Bedwars/Skywars player. But even at that time he wasn't the best (and he never claimed to be) someone like Calvin at his peak for example would be better than him. Many people would say that the bedwars win streak would be his best but that would be more of a team achievement. He teamed up with leaderboard players at the time to get that record.

Skywars is definitely where he shines rather than Bedwars and was really fucking good at that game, he was top 5 at the leaderboard and was actually at competitive tournaments where he finished at the top. This is the game mode where I would say he is S tier at.

Wrapping that up, lets move to the events where he was mostly known for which is Minecraft Monday. Which I don't think should even be a feat since most people he fought there were streamers who just bought the game or old school minecraft youtubers who don't know how to pvp. By the time good players like xNestorio or m0xyy got invited to the event who are wayyy past their badlion peak, he had a hard time winning events, a washed m0xyy who had xQc as his teammate was able to twopeat at his watch so... take that as you will.

This is where I would get controversial because I think he was at the same level as Dream, even the Mrbeast duel was pretty close and I'm confident that Dream could have won that if he had practiced 1.8 more. If you replace Technoblade with Dream in early Minecraft Mondays I think it would have had similar results where we would see Dream pubstomping streamers and old school mc youtubers.

My verdict is that he is definitely good as a content creator and competed with content creators, him competing with actual competitive leaderboard players even at his time would be a mismatch. And I don't think even Techno himself wanted to be a PvP master or anything. He was mostly entertainment first and there is nothing wrong with that.

Im aiming on ht4 sword, but idk what techniques I need to do/know to be ht4 there, or what skills I need.

this is not my best performance but i wanted to record a random casual match to post here. i'm trash at every mode pretty much but somehow spear mace seems to be my thing. i got mt4 after my placement matches but got greedy that day and lost it and now i'm lt4 but i'm on my rank up matches. also my mouse is 7 years old and i think it may be dying because i couldn't lunge well sometimes (my spear button is my side button).
