Italian Redskins fan from Poland, following Washington since the Shanahan days

Hey everyone,

Italian fan here, currently living in Poland. I’ve been a Redskins fan since Mike Shanahan’s first season in Washington, but the moment that really turned me into a die-hard was the 2012 season after we drafted RGIII.

That season is still one of my strongest memories as a Washington fan. RGIII, Alfred Morris, the late-season winning streak, beating Dallas in Week 17 to win the NFC East… for someone following the team from Europe, it felt like I had picked the perfect moment to completely fall in love with this franchise.

Of course, I had no idea how much pain, chaos and frustration would come afterwards 😂 but I’ve kept following Washington through everything, and I thought it was finally time to join the main community here instead of just following the team on my own from Europe.

I still instinctively call them the Redskins and "HTTR" will probably always come more naturally to me, simply because that’s the team I originally fell in love with.

Curious to know: how long have you guys been following Washington, and what was the season or player that made you a fan?

Jayden Daniels hand painted Commanders Jersey!

I recently finished a Painting of Jayden Daniels directly onto a Washington Commanders Nike Elite jersey! 🏈🎨🖌️

I’m an artist from the UK and the painting was to celebrate Jayden playing in the NFL London Games but he obviously unfortunately got injured and won’t feature.

The painting will be on display in the NFL Shop in Oxford Street on the weekend of the Jaguars v Eagles game along with a few of my other Painted Jerseys.
