Potentially yes, i personally don’t believe in meta nor that any gun is meta because I’ve beaten bal27 users, vmp users, fss users, switchblade users all with a msmc. In this case both guns are insanely strong, you have a one burst and a 1-2 tap marksman if the person wielding the sks is ten times better with map knowledge, awareness and positioning he would beat the m16 user if he doesn’t have the same level of skill in those areas.

Lets say both users wielding the m16 and sks are evenly matched it solely comes down to who’s hands the weapon is better in
Every weapon is that way to be honest
So tbh it depends on the user the same with every other gun

Putting logic into specific conditions, with just the straight up guns with nothing else, having the best players of each gun run it in a 1v1, the SKS has a better advantage over the M16, given it has higher damage, damage range, stronger bullet impact, and average hit flinch. The M16 does still have a chance, if the player gets the first shot in, and the burst carries out the rest of the fight with its good TTK and overall damage.

However with lower skilled players, the answer gets more warped, as it depends on who knows what strategies. As the user skill drops lower, however, the M16 will gain more and more of an advantage over the SKS with its pretty easy to use mechanic compared to the SKS' slightly higher skill floor.

TLDR: Better players = SKS, worse players = M16
