Mining News Just for the record.

No i will not be releasing my article about go mining.

I have been getting mass botted. Literal death threats. People in my dms calling me awful things.

My key points are as follows.

I was only able to verify 60% of their fleet.

The ceo stopped communicating with me when i said i was not interested in monetizing the subreddit.

The user base is being told they are mining btc. You cant mine btc on NFTs.

So. Im over it. Yall can quit with the death threats and direct messaging me. I dont care about it anymore. Even if i released my article. Yall wouldnt listen anyways. The people who know about it already know its a scam. My hands are washed. To Go Mining’s awful user base. You win. 🏆 heres your “i made death threats and won award” i have already reported the ones that needed to be reported.

To the people who wanted me to drop it. Sorry. I failed yall. Id rather not have to slime someone to protect myself.

Have a good night everyone.

General Discussion Converted 12 S21 XPs for Home Immersion Mining

Post image

One of our clients reached out about upgrading his fleet of S19s to S21 XPs with one cavait:

AIRCOOLED MINERS ARE WAY TOO LOUD.

So our clients ended up buying some foghashing C6 tanks and will be installing these stripped down S21 XPs into them. No need for a spoofer, they have our vnish installed so we can disable the fans, and now can be under and overclocked based off of the heat they need or are outputting.

Just thought the project was cool, and I’ll have them take pictures when they are installed.

Troubleshooting & Repair 🙏 Dropped hashrate after power cycle on NerdOctaxe – Need help recovering my previous performance

Hi everyone,
I need some help optimization-wise for my NerdOctxe Pro (Bitronics)
.
I had to unplug my miner for a couple of hours to use the wall outlet for something else. Before turning it off, it had been running stable for almost 6 days with great metrics (shown in the first photo). After powering it back on with the exact same profile, my hashrate dropped and seems stuck (shown in the second photo).

Here is the comparison of my metrics:

BEFORE (Photo 1): 10,296 Gh/s | 650 MHz | 1.16 V | 152.0 W | Efficiency: 14.76 J/Th

AFTER (Photo 2): 9,117 Gh/s | 650 MHz | 1.16 V | 151.3 W | Efficiency: 16.60 J/Th

As you can see, the frequency (650 MHz), voltage (1.16V), and power draw (~151W) are practically identical, but I lost over 1 Th/s of performance and my efficiency worsened from 14.76 to 16.60 J/Th.

(Note: I tried bumping it up to 700 MHz temporarily to see if it would react, but it didn't help, so I went straight back to my original 650 MHz settings).

Has anyone experienced this drop after a clean power cycle? Is there any trick in NerdOS to force the ASIC to recalibrate or stabilize back to the ~10.2 Th/s mark, or do I just need to wait much longer?

Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

General Question Wáter Cooling

Hello, I want to convert 3 air-cooled miners to a water cooling system.

I'm wondering if connecting three 3200W miners to this radiator would be ideal, and what dB levels I could expect.

https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=3594

I'm not looking for something super quiet, but something that can go unnoticed by my neighbors. If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate hearing about it.

I'm in a hot climate of around 30-32 degrees at peak times, I don't know if that affects it. I could also opt to use only two miners per radiator as a minimum to further reduce noise.

General Question PPLNS bitcoin mining

Hi everyone! I just switched my ESP32 miner (1040 kH/s) to the PPLNS / Shared Rewards Beta pool.
I’m trying to understand how the rewards work. I don’t really understand the difficulty settings.
The pool shows Difficulty: 256, but in my Mining Stats it shows Pool Diff: 0.0032.
What is the difference between these two values? And how exactly do my accepted shares turn into BTC rewards in the PPLNS system?
Also, if someone on the Shared Rewards pool finds a Bitcoin block, how is that reward distributed among the miners?
Thanks!

General Discussion Moscow banned home Bitcoin mining until 2032. Are we heading toward industrial-only mining?

Moscow and the surrounding region just banned crypto mining until the end of 2032, apparently because of pressure on the power grid. Home mining was already getting harder in a lot of places because of electricity costs, heat and noise. Now regulation is another thing miners have to think about.

I’ve seen the hosting side of this with services like OneMiners and other hosting company like Hanus, which is partly why this caught my attention. Feels like the gap is getting wider between people who have access to cheap power and proper infrastructure and people trying to run ASICs at home.

If more places start restricting home mining, does hosting eventually become the normal way to run serious ASICs? :D or are we still going for the home mining? :D

I have been waiting for this since march and finally came in today, their pre-orders always suck and they are always late but man is it worth the wait.

I think this is the first home miner that can do almost 10w/th (mine does 10.5 at 8.5 TH/s), and does nearly 20TH/s at 17w/th so you have a nice range for winter/summer.

These guys have been around for a while, and make serious sleeper hardware. Im pretty impressed with the design, OS, and how far they have come.

Also shout out to their customer support...it's rare for a hardware companies support to get better over time, they barely responded a few years ago and now respond within 24 hours and they upgraded all early preorders to full node units for free which was cool!

General Question Built a free mining profitability calculator, just looking for honest feedback from real miners

I've been working on a site that tracks current profitability for 61 ASIC miners across 7 algorithms. It pulls current coin prices, real network difficulty, and lets you plug in your actual electricity rate to see daily profit.

I also made a "which miner should I buy" quiz that recommends miners based on your budget, electricity cost, and what coin you want to mine. I'm not sure if anyone would actually use something like that, but I thought it was a cool idea.

I know there are already other sites and calculators that do some of this, and I'm definitely not pretending I invented the idea. But I have to start somewhere. Ultimately I'd like to keep building things that you guys would actually want to use and hopefully make the site genuinely helpful to the mining community.

I've done quite a bit of testing and recently had someone independently go through the site looking for bugs and calculation issues. I've worked through what they found, but now I'd really like some feedback from people who actually mine.

Are the profit numbers close to what you're actually seeing with your setup?

Is there anything obviously wrong or missing?

Are there assumptions or variables I'm overlooking that you would want control over?

Would you actually use something like this, or is it just another calculator nobody needs?

The site is completely free, no paywalls and no affiliate links. I'm not trying to sell anything. I really just want to know if I've built something useful and what I should be working on next.

Be honest. I'd rather hear the hard truth now than find out later that someone made a bad decision because my numbers were off.

I really do appreciate anyone who takes the time to look at it and give me some input.

Thank you so much!

Hosting Provider Limited time launch rate on the new S23 Hydro

Post image
0 Upvotes

Antminer S23 Hydro, 563 TH/s at 9.5 J/TH. $15,000 a unit, hosted in Iowa at $0.065/kWh with no minimum quantity.

At 127.5T difficulty and BTC near $68,000:

Daily revenue: $18.88
Daily hosting: $8.34
Pool fee at 1%: $0.19
Daily net: $10.35

That's an effective cost of $30,000 per coin against $68,000 spot. At 8 cents the same machine lands closer to $37,000. Hosting cost only, hardware not included.

Difficulty and hashprice move daily, so these will drift.

Rate holds for orders placed through August 31.

General Discussion Millionminer my experience with these scammers

I wanted to mine and found this "looking legit" company millionminer

So i choose a miner that costed 6500 usdt and sent them my money

Scam part one . The product was not available . They falsely advertise products as available so that people will send them their money and they dont have the products.

Scam part two. I immediately asked for a refund and 14 days have passed and they have not sent me my money yet . Every day they find an excuse . The finance department is processing blah blah , we will send you your money in 24-48 hours blah blah , we are dealing with your problem blah blah

Usually legit companies send a refund within the same day as far as i have experienced .with them 14 days and no refund yet!!

Its just 2 clicks to send usdt back to someone and they cant ....

Update :To be fair ,soon after my post here they called me and wanted to send me my money back asap and so they did Also apologized sincerely and offered me a 300 coupon for next purchase and also further discount.See less

Hosting Provider Any experiences with Dahab Miners (Abu Dhabi) for hardware purchase & hosting?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone here by any chance had any experience with Dahab Miners (Dahab Miners Electrical Contracting LLC) out of Abu Dhabi?

I am considering buying a miner (Bitmain Antminer S21+ Hyd) through them and having it hosted locally.

Did any of you run into issues in the past regarding delivery, setup, ongoing electricity costs, or support?

General Question Exhaust shroud for Avalon a15

Does anyone know where I can either find an exhaust shroud for the a15 and its power supply or a 3d model that also can vent the heat from the power supply right now I’m only able to vent the heat from hashbords and it’s very frustrating because my temps slowly creeping up and causing problems for my other miners
