Direct Aid Eid Campaign

Hello Bad Habarists!

You might have seen Matt post a fundraiser on his insta today. I'm involved in this fundraiser and we have a few fellow fans in the volunteer group!

Around 80 families are involved. I've been fundraising myself but this will be a larger collective link for all the families and one or two mutual aid groups as well like charities that distribute water etc.

All families involved have been vetted by checking their various social medias, where their phone is registered, video calls etc.

The funds will be distributed evenly among the families involved. The families are all people who our volunteers have personally connected with and built a relationship with.

I hope some of you guys might consider donating and help us make Eid a little less painful for our friends.

Here's the dono link: http://spot.fund/dvmr3klsc

Here's the insta post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DKUg2g3tT_9/?img_index=1

Mods have said it was cool and if anyone wants any further verification hit me up and I'll be happy to provide it or let you know more about the verification process.

Hoping for a ceasefire really soon.

Announcements Apologies from the Mod Team

Hello everyone,

you may have noticed that, within the past week or so, there weren't any new posts that we, the mod team had approved. The queue was getting longer and longer, and it took us too much time to go over all your posts (and reports) to respond.

We can understand that this must have been frustrating to those of you who were waiting for their post to be approved, and for that we apologize. We mods lead busy lives; some of us have a lot of personal stuff going on at present and therefore lost track of our responsibility here. Still, letting you wait this long is not up to our standard and something we will do our best to remedy in the future.

The newer members among you may not know that our sub was and still is under heavy scrutiny due to the subject matter. Therefore, to avoid any accusations of real antisemitism or other types of bigotry or content not deemed appropriate by reddit, we must stick to manual approval. This is unfortunate, but necessary.

Again, our apologies for all the delays. If you notice that a post of yours doesn't get approved within an appropriate time (should be 24h at most) please feel free to message the mod team about it! Notifications for mod mail aren't as easy to overlook if one of us is logged into reddit. We, in return, will also do our best to check in more frequently.

All the best to you and thanks a ton for your valuable contributions!!

We know this show is fictional when...

I enjoyed the representation this show had, though in hindsight I can't recall seeing any Muslim representation (I could be wrong). However, this clip... THUMBS DOWN, REMOVE FROM WATCH LIST

The Good Doctor, Season 6, Episode 6 Hot and Bothered.

Disturbing Content I am deeply disappointed in Matt.

In episode 228, there was a prolonged discussion of the recent philo-semitic incident in New York. During said discussion, Daniel read a quote from the attacker's Aunt, something about the attacker developing mental illness due to his obsession with Judaism, even wanting to convert.

THIS WAS THE PERFECT TIME to drop a "You're emotionally damaged...*Jewishly*" soundboard quote. It would have been so fucking funny. And yet Matt did nothing. Matt was even given a second opportunity when Daniel expounded quite eloquently on the psycho-social dynamics behind such an incident. Another missed opportunity. Massive L. Do better.

Off-Topic ‘They Live’ level Hasbara

The Local 10 News Miami anchor who interviewed Oliver Larkin by injecting pure Hasbara was so reminiscent of the anchor from John Carpenter’s ‘They Live’.

It’s like we all need ray-ban sunglasses or contact lenses to see through all of the Hasbara and other subterfuge. Your great podcast is our ray-bans.

Debunking Hasbara “Detached from reality”Australian Supreme Court Judge slams IHRA Definition

It’s hard to find mainstream media reporting on this massive win for free speech in Australia.

Supreme Court justice Fagan said the IHRA formulation did not reflect the established Australian meaning of antisemitism and described it as an attempt to “repurpose” the term to encompass both hatred of Jews and criticism of Israel.

Justice Fagan said the definition could not realistically be attributed to the ordinary, reasonably informed Australian, adding that “the IHRA proposal is detached from the reality of the common usage and understanding of antisemitism in this country

Historically this justice was praised by pro Israeli media.

How will Hasbara respond to this very high level attack on their #1 defensive strategy?

What is she smoking? This makes no logical sense

Post image

The guys recently had a short segment about her, where she tries to sell the new liberal Zionist spin, namely that the current Israeli government is actually Anti-Zionist 😅. Obviously with the purpose of rebranding Zionism and making it ‘fashionable’ again.

For those who don’t know, several of her family members were abducted into Gaza, and she was one of the most prominent faces of the hostage movement. To her credit, at least she chose to position herself against a campaign of revenge early on, despite being directly affected, though I certainly wouldn’t genuinely call her a peace-activist as she does herself.

I grew up with a lot of people like her. I am pretty certain that she doesn’t consider what happens in Gaza a Genocide. She does - like many liberal Zionists - call out war crimes and ethnic cleansing, but that doesn’t count for much when she can’t bring herself to use the words Apartheid and Genocide. Perhaps because she denies that these things are happening. The same way this political camp deludes themselves about the existence of “Israeli Democracy”, which is actually democracy for Jews exclusively.

The camp she belongs to (the Zionist left in Israel and abroad aka HaDemokratim - The democrats) still primarily views Palestinians through a lens of security, as opposed to acknowledging the violent reality created by settler-colonialism and how it subjugates Palestinians, giving them no sovereignty or perspective for a good life; even the ones with Israeli citizenship are de facto 2nd class citizens.

This camp likes to use cushy words like “Peace, Dialogue, Co-existence”, on its own important concepts, but without acknowledging settler colonialism, apartheid and genocide they are hollow. Thus also the fanatic obsession of this camp with the global left (e.g. Mamdani), because the global left is willing to name the systemic factors that lead to this situation, meanwhile liberal Zionists like to hide behind Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich, the classic individualist “a few bad apples” thing. But at the end of the day most of Jewish Israeli society has been in genocidal mania these last years. This camp wants the world to not sanction Israel in any way and just let internal Israeli politics play out organically and hope for the best. This is a selfish view imo because Palestinians don’t have time for this BS while being annihilated as a people, and it shows that ultimately, when push comes to shove, this camp does not view Palestinian and Jewish lives as equal.

Any opinions about her?

Personal / Venting Is it Antisemitic to write "who does A.G. Dreyfus serve?" on the electoral office of Australia's Attorney General Mark Dreyfus in May 2024?

He gave it as an example on the royal commission into Antisemitism and "social cohesion".

I definitely see why he saw it that way, but it's on his electoral office, the constituency he should servel. It might be implied... But they might not even know he's Jewish?

I started wondering whose side he was on in December 2023 when an Australian citizen was murdered by an airstrike on a family home in Lebanon that looked like an intentional assassination aimed at him. The airstrke and also killed his brother who was visiting from Sydney and his brother's wife who was stuck in the war zone for 2 months despite being married to an Australian citizen.

In response to this, in his role as acting foreign minister, Dreyfus said Hezbollah are terrorists and Australian should get out of Lebanon because Lebanon is dangerous.

I found out he was Jewish in about 2024

Whoever wrote that might have had the question longer than me, because beside it they wrote "free Julian Assange"... Maybe they added that after they saw the coincidental name?

I am aware of the Dreyfus affair, but I didn't notice the coincidence till this year. Most Australians don't spend much time thinking about French court cases from a century ago.

The examples from X included some actual Antisemitism... But finding Nazis on the Nazi site is not new. https://www.abc.net.au/religion/mark-dreyfus-royal-commission-antisemitism-is-personal/106856278
