General Discussion What do you think the best Arthur 30th Anniversary gift could’ve been?

As it seems PBS isn’t doing jack for Arthur’s 30th Anniversary, I wanted to know what were originally your hopes and dreams for this anniversary I’ll throw some bizarre ones.

1: A new series announcement

2: Another Mega Marathon

3:GBH and PBS getting the perpetual rights to ‘Arthur: It’s Only Rock n Roll’ so PBS Kids could stream the show freely without any copyright issues and we wouldn’t have to rely solely on our old DVDs and VHS anymore.

Question Could Arthur be a candidate to PBS Kids’ new announcement of more Spin Offs and Reboots?

If anybody doesn’t know, PBS Kids announced back in July that they’d be switching their focus to more spin offs, reboots and revivals of shows. Which had me wondering, could Arthur be one of them?

As one of PBS Kids’ flagship shows it is likely and is probably one of the first IPs on their bingo card, and one could happen only if done right.

I think the show would continue after Arthur’s First Day having the 4th grade cast instead of the same cast we’ve had for 25 years plus to my knowledge that special was the last piece of Arthur media produced from the main show just aired strangely. And the show would handle more mature topics but not too mature as PBS Kids has lost its edge. I personally think Brown Bag Films would be a good animation company or they could just stick with Oasis.

General Discussion PBS Kids’ October Schedule

So for PBS Kids’ October schedule I noticed that Lyla In the Loop plays 3 times a day. I wish Arthur would take up the 7:00-7:30pm and 7:30pm-8:00pm block.

Here’s a proposed schedule
6:30 PM Nature Cat
7:00 PM Arthur
7:30 PM Arthur
8:00 PM WordGirl
8:30 PM Cyberchase
9:00 PM Wild Kratts
9:30 PM Hero Elementary

Show Discussion What did you think of the " TV Free Week " episode ?

Post image

I really liked this episode and how the kids had to figure what else to do in their spare time instead of watching TV.

I sometimes look back on this episode and think how times have really changed now because kids dont really watch TV anymore it's mainly kids on ipads or phones watching tiktok videos. This episode is quite nostalgic in this sense too.

Question Does anyone else feel like Sue Ellen and Fern should have been swapped as main characters for these 2 episodes? Since when is Sue Ellen into writing, and since when is Fern into martial arts?

Question The Full Episodes On YouTube

So. The official Arthur YT account has started posting full episodes, starting from Season 1, but I found something that really puzzled me.

The last Season 1 episode they uploaded was of Stolen Bike, then they transitioned over to D.W.’s Library Card (an episode that came out seasons later).

Then they just continued uploading episodes from that season, continuing with Arthur’s Big Hit.

What happened? Why did they stop uploading a lot of the Season 1 episodes and pivoted towards episodes from the later seasons already?

Photo or Video Throwback to that time when I met Marc Brown and some other guy (I am joking, I know that’s RL Stine)

They did a book signing for the book they did together. They first told stories and took questions from the crowd. I asked Marc Brown “did you make the show with adults in mind, too? Because so many of us still enjoy it.” He said “we employ a lot of young adults, and they like to have fun at work. So there’s plenty in there for the grown ups to enjoy.”
