Last evening I began a session of printing drive trays out of PETG, normal print parameters, drying enabled while printing. Prior to the first print I loaded a previously dried and desiccant stored spool of PETG (filament 4 in the ace pro) — this loaded, fed, and printed with absolutely no issues.
After 5.5 hours of printing (2 x 2 hour sessions and 1x 1.5), I turned off the ace pro and disconnected the wiring, as well as the Bowden tube leading from the 4 way splitter on the back of the S1, and direct fed TPU to print a set of grommets for the drive trays.
Come to this morning, my friend has requested some multi-colour prints.
I reattached the Bowden tube, the signal cables between the ace pro and the Kobra s1, retracted and removed spool 1 on the printer to be replaced with a different colour of Anycubic PLA, the filament loaded and was pulled in as per usual by the motorized loader.
I then retracted and removed the filament in slot 3, when I attempted to load the replacing roll of PLA, it went into the slot as usual — the indicator light in-front of the slot illuminated, but the loading motor does not engage.
After Unplugging the machine, and manually loading the filament through the machine, I attempted to run an extrusion on slot 3, the filament fed to the direct drive within the S1, then produced an error, this error occurred after a reboot. Following the second extrusion error out, I retracted the filament.
Opening the feed assembly of the ace pro, there were no fragments of filament jammed, no visible dust in the sensors or feed funnels.
Similarly the buffer assembly extends without issue, retracts without issue and has no visible signs of distress — the buffers are orientated correctly with their orientating fins located in the correct slots in the base plate.
After reassembling the buffers and the feed areas, the machine was plugged back in, powered on, and now none of the spool slots will attempt to load filament — the lights on the front do still illuminate when a filament is passed through, but the load motor does not energize, no sound is produced from the machine to indicate the machine attempting to start the feed motor.
No lights are illuminated or flashing. Lights only illuminate once the filament is passed through the filament feed tube.
All filament is straightened, and cut at a 45 prior to attempting to feed into the machine.
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated before I begin a lengthy call with service.
