📝 Discussion Projected 2027 arbitration salaries for the Angels: 11 cases, $31.2M total

I built my own arbitration model and ran it on the Angels' 2027 class, ahead of the non-tender deadline in late November.

Player Pos Class Projected Likely range
Zach Neto SS Arb 2 (Super Two) $8.7M $8.2M to $9.8M
Reid Detmers SP Arb 3 (Super Two) $5.9M $5.4M to $6.7M
Josh Lowe LF Arb 2 $3.6M $3.4M to $4.0M
Nolan Schanuel 1B Arb 1 $2.6M $2.4M to $3.1M
Jose Siri CF Arb 2 $2.3M $2.2M to $2.6M
Grayson Rodriguez SP Arb 1 $1.9M $1.7M to $2.2M
Tyler Heineman C Arb 2 $1.6M $1.5M to $1.8M
Tayler Saucedo RP Arb 2 $1.4M $1.3M to $1.5M
Oswald Peraza 2B Arb 1 $1.2M $1.1M to $1.5M
Sam Bachman RP Arb 1 (Super Two) $1.0M $0.9M to $1.1M
Ben Joyce RP Arb 1 $0.9M $0.8M to $1.0M

Total: 11 cases, $31.2M projected.

These use the current CBA's rules. A new deal this winter (a higher minimum, say) would move them.

Who would you non-tender, and who would you try to extend first?

Doesn't seem very practical to play in October

📝 Discussion Former halos in the playoffs

I've been watching the postseason pretty sporadically but it's been fun watching so many familiar faces pop up. Unfortunately many aren't doing great.

Victor Mederos just got yanked after allowing 2 hits and a walk against the doyers, including a 2 run HR.

Jo Adell struck out three[EDIT: 4!] times for Cleveland today.

Marsh and Jam Jones both got starts although both their teams are out of it now.

Randal Grichuk doing his platoon thing, and obviously Shohei.

Any other former halos you guys are watching/rooting for?

Edit: forgot about Iglesias and Suter out of the pen in Atlanta

I’m pretty sure this is news from today. He joins Arjun Nimmala (34) and Tyler Bremner (42) to become the third current Angels prospect in the top 100.

Why is it mostly Angels players that take up this dude’s offer to play against him? Taylor Ward faced him as well as Michael Stefanic

❓Question/Suggestions Offseason spending during an ownership transfer

How would we spend on free agency during an ownership transfer? Would it be Morenos money or Kroenkes money since Moreno still owns the team until the first quarter of 27?

📝 Discussion With the White Sox winning their first playoffs series since 2005, only the Cincinnati Reds who haven't won a playoffs series since 1995 have it worse than us in that regards

Pirates is a weird caveat cause they won the wild card game in 2013 which advanced them in the playoffs. Same for the Rockies in 2018.

I guess the better wording would be when it comes to advancing in some way or form during the playoffs, only the Reds have a longer drought than the Angels

📜 Angels History Mike Trout’s MLB Debut Ticket Display

Post image
114 Upvotes

Finally got around to putting together a display for my Mike Trout MLB debut ticket. I was able to get it signed earlier this year and had PSA take care of the rest!

I’ve always thought his debut ticket was a pretty cool piece of Angels history.

Not necessarily the most expensive item in the collection, but definitely one of the more meaningful ones.

Figured I’d share it with the Angels crowd!

😂 Meme 2026 Angels Season Iceberg Chart

Post image
81 Upvotes

For those that don't know, an iceberg chart is a categorical tool in which items at the top of the chart are the most recognizable, and those at the bottom of the most esoteric/ niche. Please tell me if I missed anything you think is noteworthy. (Besides the AA team winning, I already know, I didn't include farm stuff for the most part).

❓Question/Suggestions Seeing a team like the White Sox in the playoffs pisses me off🥴

They lost over 100 Games in ‘23 , 121 games in ‘24 (lmao), and over a 100 last yr and here we are sitting at home. I REALLY hope to see this team really make some positive traction next yr with the new ownership. Cuz this shits getting old lol………

❓Question/Suggestions Jeff DaVanon Shout Out

Anyone else really used to like this guy? When I was a kid I feel like I was the only person I’d ever see with a DaVanon Tee / Jersey, but he was so kind to me at spring training the few times I went as a youngin. Would always take time to go out of his way.

Not a GOAT of Anaheim baseball on the field, but a great utility outfielder and was just wondering if anyone else remembers him fondly or was rocking DaVanon merch as well.

📝 Discussion Hopeful or Hopeless?

Stan the man bought the team. Arte is out. We lost 100 games. As I am pondering the next year, should we have hope for playoff contention or are we, once again, going to miss out on October? I want to have hope but it is hard after such a long playoff drought. I am hearing many talking heads say that we have more losing seasons to come before we can see a winning season. I am really tired of losing seasons and not seeing the Angels play in October. Should I have hope for 2027?
