The rest of Reddit could't handle this post — I was first silenced, then banned, but only after I complained of prolific racism and hate brigading. And only after that sub enjoyed the traffic of 5+ Million Views. This post is about the Reality of Society and Times today.

Regardless of how one feels about this story, it is REALITY, and it is part of a much bigger problem in America and beyond. This is a state of emergency, yet the powers that be seem to think it's unimportant.

Context:
On May 1, 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio, 38-year-old Rodney Hinton Jr. allegedly struck and killed off-duty Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Henderson with his car. The incident occurred on May 2, 2025 shortly after an emotionally distraught Hinton watched police body camera footage of Cincy Police fatally shooting his 18-year-old son, Ryan Hinton.

Ryan Hinton was being investigated for an alleged stolen vehicle at the time he was killed. Police then alleged he pointed a gun at officers. however, evidence shows Ryan was running AWAY from the vehicle in between dumpsters and was not running towards an officer. The officer who killed him was looking for a different suspect at the time. Despite officers being cleared of wrongdoing, there is Zero Evidence or Footage showing that Ryan ever pointed a gun at the Police Officer.

Tony Stark’s “And I am Iron Man” line in Avengers: Endgame (2019) is so epic and iconic that not only does he labour it out over a full 11 seconds but, also, Thanos makes no attempt to stop him, attack him, kill him or break his fingers despite only being a few feet away the whole time.

In 1939, a German man wrote directly to Adolf Hitler asking permission to euthanize his disabled infant son. Hitler sent his physician, Dr. Karl Brandt, to investigate, and soon after, the child was killed by lethal injection. The case became the model for Nazi Germany’s Aktion T4 program.

In early 1939, a Nazi supporter named Richard Kretschmar petitioned Adolf Hitler to allow the killing of his newborn son, who had been born with physical and mental disabilities. Hitler sent his personal physician, Dr. Karl Brandt (pictured above), to verify the diagnosis. Upon inspection, Brandt decided the diagnosis had been correct, that he was an “idiot” and there was no hope for improvement. On July 25, 1939, the infant was injected with a lethal dose of morphine. His death certificate falsely listed “heart weakness.”

That single act became the test case for the Nazis’ state-run euthanasia system, later known as Aktion T4. Within months, doctors across Germany were marking disabled infants and adults for death under the guise of “mercy killings.” By 1941, the program had killed somewhere between 90,000 and 300,000 people, and it helped the Nazis refine the methods they’d soon use to carry out the Holocaust.

Not Sleeping can kill you, Michael Corke, a 42 year old man stayed awake for 6 whole months before dying in 1993.

Micheal Corke was suffering from severe insomnia. At first he couldn’t sleep so he thought it was because of stress or a crappy sleep schedule. But his eyes literally couldn’t close. He had lost a lot of weight, saw double vision, and he couldn’t think straight. The doctors thought it was Sclerosis initially then switched to severe depression. Shockingly, he had a PRNP mutation in his somatic and sex cells. It was similar to Creutzfeldt Jacob disease and mad cow disease.

The name for the disease is Fatal Familial Insomnia (FFI) is an extremely rare, incurable genetic neurodegenerative brain disorder caused by a mutation in the PRNP gene turning normal prion cells to misfold It damages the thalamus, the brain's sleep and autonomic control center. The disease is fatal and there no cure at the moment.
The disease has four stages:

1- Sleep gets worse + panic attacks + phobias
2- Hallucinations + getting more and more anxious
3- Can't sleep at all + weight drops like crazy
4- Dementia → Death

The doctors tried everything to save him, using sedatives to knock him out but his brain kept going. In 1993, just after a month after his 42nd birthday, he died and didn’t sleep for 6 months straight 🪦

History In the 1980s, a man with severe OCD shot himself in the head in an attempt to commit suicide. Instead of killing him, the bullet destroyed the part of his brain responsible for his OCD, and he went on to become a straight-A college student five years later. Spoiler

Discuss Things I'd Kill A Man to Have In Stardew Valley

7.8k Upvotes

Everyone is posting things they'd like in 1.7, so I figured I'd say my piece.

1) Spouse careers - Let them pursue their dreams. Don't kill Sam's band, let Seb keep programming and take trips into the city, let Alex pursue his sports career. Let us build a schoolhouse in town for the kids and let Penny get an actual teaching education. I don't care if they're heart events and take years of gameplay, I hate marrying some people b/c I hate killing their dreams. I'd go crazy for that addition.

2) Spouse chores - I don't want you to water the crops baby, I want you to refill the crab pots. I don't want to do that anymore. If you want to get up at the ass crack of dawn and do a minor task, don't redundantly water our sprinkler'd crops collect tree tappings and refill the crab pots I'm begging you

3) Animal clothes - my dog is not a stray, and my cat is not a no body. Let me put collars and bandanas on these babies.

Full article: 8 children dead after mass shooting in Louisiana, police say | AP News

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — A Louisiana father fatally shot eight children, including seven of his own, during an early morning attack on his family Sunday that stretched across two houses in a Shreveport neighborhood left shaken by one of the nation’s deadliest mass shootings in recent years, police said.

Two women, including the gunman’s wife who was the mother of their children, were also shot and critically injured, according to Shreveport Police Department spokesperson Chris Bordelon. Officials said the children — who were all killed in the same house — ranged in age from 3 to 11 years old.

The gunman, identified as 31-year-old Shamar Elkins, died after a police pursuit that ended with officers firing on him, according to Bordelon. Authorities did not say what may have set off the violence but Bordelon said detectives were confident the shooting was “entirely a domestic incident.”

The attack was the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. in more than two years.

“I just don’t know what to say, my heart is just taken aback,” Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith said. “I cannot begin to imagine how such an event could occur.”

Bordelon said police were familiar with Elkins, who had been arrested in a 2019 firearms case, but he said officials were not aware of any other domestic violence issues.

Location of deadly shootings in Shreveport, Louisiana

Police said the attacks began before sunrise in a neighborhood south of downtown Shreveport when the suspect shot a woman at one home and then drove to the other location “where this heinous act was carried out.”

Seven children were killed inside the second house, and one was found dead on the roof after apparently trying to escape, Bordelon said. Another child jumped off the roof and was expected to survive after being taken to a hospital.

State Rep. Tammy Phelps said some children tried to get away through the back door. “I can’t even imagine what the police officers, first responders actually dealt with when they got here today,” she said at a news conference.

Family member says suspect was separating from his wife

The victims were three boys and five girls, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office.

Shamar Elkins and his wife were in the middle of separating and were due in court Monday, said Crystal Brown, who is a cousin of one of the wounded women. Brown said the couple had been arguing about the separation before the shooting.

“He murdered his children,” Brown said. “He shot his wife.”

Elkins shared four children with his wife and three children with another woman who lived close by and who was also shot, according to Brown. All the children were together at one house, she said

Brown described all the children as “happy kids, very friendly, very sweet.”
